Good information..! The original purpose of the hull conditioner was to prep hulls that had been roll crimped. It's good to see that it works with fold crimp hulls too. To get a few more loads from a hull where the crimp died, (everything else in safe working order) I cut the bad crimp off and make a new star crimp, roll crimp, no crimp glued in overshot card, or turn them into shorty shells. Thanks for the video..
Wow always wondered if they made something for doing that but at the same time is it worth the amount of money in electricity it takes to use I guess I was just lucky enough to work at a shooting range when I was a kid that I stuck piled thousands of them at my house from 410/28/20/12 I think for 410 and 28 gauge it might be worth it
Thanks for the info and the video. Just got my Svarog Zvevoboy 2 in 1 mold this week and I can't wait to start castin. I would like to get one of those hull vises. Let use know if your friend starts to make them. MAGA!
It's really up to you. the.44 Russian is a handy round, it is short and compact, however, it doesn't offer much over the .44 special. I too like the .44 special as a target round as that was what its roots were. the Bisley Match of one-handed shooting of 50 rounds of slow-fire and a distance of 50 yards was dominated with the .44 special and it was a proven accurate round, You can give the .44 Russian a go and see if it's your fancy. You can load them with light recoil target velocities around 600-700 FPS for a mild afternoon out at the pistol range. (Might even try some one-handed shooting with them). Good shooting to ya, Dave.
Here is one of the things to take into consideration, powder selection. powder like W-231, Bullseye, Red dot are fast burning powders, they give a snappy effect of recoil. when you get into fast/medium powders like clays, 700X, Unique, they have more of a bang rather than a pop of recoil like the fast ones. So, what I'm trying to say is "Shoot ability" in the hand, you have less of a flinch or tendency to counteract the recoil generated by the fast/medium powder, therefore, your shots that you loaded in Target charged loadings will shoot more towards the center of your aim. Make sense? Less recoil, steadier in the hand. anyway, I would give that a try when selecting accuracy loadings for a pistol. Good shooting to you and keep up the good work on your channel, I watch every one of them. Dave.
