My first thought is the same thought I always have. Rob Parker is a disgrace. If you put his name in the title I wouldn't have watched. Brady isn't the same as every other player. He deserves to end his career in New England. More than any other player in NFL history.

Not in the short term, Brady will be gone on first injury or 2 years. The Patriots are capped out, that is why they let all these aging pieces go early, Brady is not just another piece. Garoppolo might allow 10 or more wins for several years, but if he doesn't or has Romo moments in the playoffs, you will be watching the Bulls after they forced Jorden out because they were tired of winning. Belichick will be 66 next year, he is breaking the same records Brady is, there are zero NFL coaches that were effective beyond 65. Bradiy's chance of being effective at 42 are about as good as his are at 70 which is only 5 years from now.

Jimmy G played in six games, started in 5. In those 5 starts he's 5-0 and has thrown for over a thousand yards in a system he barely knows. He's a good football mind and has one of the quickest releases I've ever seen on a quarterback. He needs to work on his footwork and deep ball accuracy but for the limited playbook and awful offensive line he had to deal with I think he did fairly well. He's going to be a top tier quarterback next year and potentially bring the niners to their first playoff appearance since the harbaugh era

What did Bill Parcells say when he stepped down as coach for the Jets? "If you're gonna be a cook, then the boss should allow you to shop for the ingredients" . This is nothing different. Kraft made a ill-advised decision in trading Jimmy G. Don't care how many rings Brady has. Belichick has 7, two as a coordinator, five as a head coach. Kraft undermined his GM/Coach and that coach is a disciple of The Tuna.

The issue here is personal though, Belichick doesn't like Brady personally and has berated him harder than anyone and apparently last year was worse than before. Apart from that he's personally coaching Jimmy G who he loves as a person and he's asking Brady to teach him and Brady turned him down. So now Robert Kraft made a decision to keep Tom and Belichick is sabotaging the Patriots.

I was 100% agreeing with this until Skip opened his mouth. For 1 yes Brady was expected to win the MVP before the season started, and the idea that a player not a QB winning MVP is blasphemous to the league. I for one is on the #Gurley4MVP train, growing up with Todd im proud of what hes done this year, leading the league in TDs and taking over games and leading a team most saw as failures to a team that leads in scoring and is in the playoffs.

As an avid Pats fan living in the Pacific NW, I was shocked at the Garrapolo trade. This all honestly makes sense. Belichick will move on within 2 years and TB12 will deteriorate within the same time frame. If they can all sit down (Brady, Kraft, Bellichick) and allow the coach to make a decision in the '18 draft for the future, then MAYBE it smoothes out. But with the loss of Garrapolo and Brissette and recommending the O and D co-ordinators out for other jobs (something the Bellichick has never done before) the 'maybe' situation, seems unlikely at best.

People keep saying well Jimmy is the future and we got to think about the future.. I honestly don't care about football once Brady leaves I will never watch it again I don't care if it Patriots win a Super Bowl every year, it will never be the same without Tom Brady and I really don't care if they win without Tom Brady. it's a fact that the NFL is going down the drain and once Tom Brady leaves they even admitted that there will be millions and millions of less viewers, and not just a few million either lots of Millions.

Anthony Nixon so true, and like odds are if your drafted at 199 you needed to be watched by a team and appreciated. If anyone else drafted him in the 7th round no one would put any focus to train him up like bill did and he would have simply been in and out of the league in maybe 3-7 years as a backup or maybe a starter for dying team who has tanking in mind. He would probably turn into a josh Mcown type of guy.
