Dr. Elahi describes findings of brain MRI done on 60+ year-old male patient with signs and symptoms of parkinsonism, e.g. poor balance, shuffling gait, diminishing memory, muscle rigidity, and urinary frequency. MRI showed enlarged fluid-filled spaces (ventricles) that can be part of condition called normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH). This is a condition that can be successful treated with drainage of excess fluid, relieving the poor balance, muscle rigidity, and memory loss.

Is the fluid filled space also called a colloid cyst?
