In case you didn't know. There is a kit available to get the brakes lights to work, off the brake pedal. The best master cylinder switches are the nos ones. They are available and not cheap either.
The best thing for you to do is to not cheap out on your brakes. Wolfsburg West sells German brake switches, master cylinders, and the blue flex hoses from the reservoir ( I don't work for them, they just sell top notch parts ), you can get flex hoses for the wheels and wheel cylinders at your local automotive parts store. Those are pretty good. Get new adjusting stars if yours are frozen. Don't do it piecemeal, and replace the parking brake cable too. You have to pressure bleed everything to get all the air out, pumping won't cut it. Remember to set the brake pedal height using the floor mounted stop bracket, DO NOT adjust the brake actuating rod that goes from the pedal to the master cylinder. They're set at the factory. Expensive, yes but isn't your life worth it.
Hey Dan ! tell us about it ? At TSC before the covid bull their brand of primer was 2.99 now it's 15.99 . I guess their CEOs can't live in a Mansion under 500,000 $
