@furfeathersscalesnmore6149
@furfeathersscalesnmore6149 6 лет назад
FriendlyNeighborhood Wolfman A lot of antisocial animals will still bond to humans. Usually territorial disputes are caused by hormones and scent. We don’t smell like mink or food, but we do bring food and scritches. My big male tegu would naturally want to kill any other male, tegu, but me and my dogs are safe from his jaws cuz he sees us as extensions of his environment rather than threats to his food and saftey. Much like the mink. In other words.. minks see us more as fun toys than something to eat or kill.

0:23 - 0:40: blue collar mink attacks red one. Red one doesn't cry but instead turns around, finds his opponent, bites him, doesn't stop when the red one was released. Truly survival of the fittest.

It's so common to anthropomorphize animals, it's a pleasure to hear a reasonable voice. Them varmits like to fight and it's natural for them. It's so much more common to hear how horrible it's for bulls or barnyard cocks to fight for dominance even when the animals can withdraw at any time. Reducing the damage to minimum is the best you can do.

I've only started watching recently but something that struck me was how many mink are in each litter. I had a wild mink friend, I was providing in-home nursing care and I had my evenings free but couldn't go far (I was 17) and sat on the dock on the lake. The mink would hang out with me. Certainly wild, an adult, but knew I was there. I called him pinky, ya I know, not very original, but he was lovely to see, and interact with, even if only from 10 feet away.

Tiny, baby Rat Terriers are the same way when it come to fighting. A whole group will be just having fun checking things out and the next minute they are one big ball of growling, biting, snapping fighters. After a bit, they pop apart and will be back checking things out happy as clams! Terriers are born to hunt and kill, it is their DNA. Have to protect the weaker ones in them too.

Quite a few species are under desperate circumstances. I was daydreaming about living in post apocalyptic circumstances, and came to the conclusion, that I would have no issue eating another human vs. my dog. So don't mess with my dog or even suggest eating it if we're trying to survive in the wilderness together. I feel the same way about family and friends. I don't think I could eat them unless they told me to. Seeing as how I view my pets as family, it would explain why I don't want to eat them. I never want to eat horses as they are one of my most favorite and revered things in the entire world. So yeah, I would eat another human under the right circumstances.

There's no good guys bad guys in nature but some people don't understand so they complain "Why didn't you do something about it?" Yes, baby animals need to fight for their lives or get eaten, that's exactly what happens in the wild. Even the weak babies survived their siblings they wouldn't survive when they left their den. We let our son watched shows about wildlife when he was young. Other parents thought we should shield our child from cruelty. Well, life is suffering. At least our son didn't turn out to be a safe space cry baby.
@Sourdoughgirl

@BlueEternities
@BlueEternities 6 лет назад
Exactly what I was thinking. Since the goal is that these babies grow up to be the best fighters possible, it's best to let them learn tactics as much as possible and only separate them if absolutely necessary, like he said, preventing them from getting "chew heads" or actually killing each other. I believe that if he ended up with one that had only a kind heart and didn't want to fight, he'd probably just make it a house mink or find someone who's interested in a ferret-like mink.

@fisheatinweasel
@fisheatinweasel 6 лет назад
They do have a sixth sense. And so do we. When we get "in-the-zone", our bodies seem to 'just know'. Unfortunately, as beings with 'superior intellect', our profound thinking gets in the way. These critters are not so encumbered. They live and breathe in a Bruce Lee experience.
@BlueEternities
@BlueEternities 6 лет назад
John said it perfectly. We all have the ability to function at full capacity. It's our brain that gets in the way. With enough focused meditation, we can fall into a flow state with ease. Our bodies have the capacity to react much more effectively if our brains do not interfere. It goes back to the recognition that our bodies are actually the result of the cooperation of over a trillion cells. If we have faith in them and let them do their thing, the only thing we need our mind for is to stop them from going too far. The mind should only be used for increasing our ability to cooperate with our surroundings, and to intentionally let go of emotions that do not serve us or others if acted upon.
@nevio2658
