Im right there with you. It hit me the same way. I feel like I'm failing my family for what society has become. I try to keep my kids close but with the liberal indoctrination in the public schools and tv/media is overwhelming them. I largely disagree with your take here, but I respect it/you. Songs don't need to speak to us because we're intently listening to each word, they more typically do via a feeling we get from capturing the gist of it's "meaning", which listeners are free to interpret. Most people would get plenty of the words wrong on songs that they love, but they're not missing the point of the song at all, & that's true even for this anthem.

In this world millions of songs are being thrown our way, most of them portraying a negative message in a "fun" "hip" way, we have to be selective in what we allow our minds to accept, a break down of songs is a way to truly understand what were listening to, i believe by beholding we become changed, ive also learned that the private prisons have contracts with certain rappers and said rappers make more money when they rap about murder, gang bangin, sex, drugs, ect...
