I so glad you enjoy your stay in our country. It may be not that rich and luxury as other european countries, but we are still proud of it and we appreciate your kind words about it.Thank you!
Smachnogo!!! (it's kind of "enjoy your meal " in Ukrainian. I hope you'll come across a lot of cool, interesting and tasty places in Lviv. Thank you very much for all your videos !! p.s I can't watch them with empty stomach though :)
Thank you very much! We sure enjoyed our time in Lviv and Ukraine in general. Hoping we can come back again next year and visit more places. Ah, I wish we could share.
Wow what a wonderful restaurant ! It's so cool I love the post office theme. The food looks delicious guys, those pancakes, my goodness they are so fluffy and thick. The Italians have a similar dessert, like those fried dough strips and they are called crostoli. Really delicious.
Another great video, thank you guys! BTW I don't know any person who eat borsh on breakfast. I can't even smell it in the morning. Borsh is only for lunch ))
Thank you! Ah, good to know. Our research was obviously wrong. What do you typically have or what would you say to someone is a typical Ukrainian breakfast?
Thank you very much! We started our channel a few years ago with no skills in either area (videography or editing) and we've been kind of learning on the go. We still have a long way to go but we're really enjoying the process of learning new techniques and upgrading our gear when we can.
Hey, really love how U try food in my country :) Btw on 7:42 it is called verguny (Вергуны), I like them too. Looking forward to Yours next videos. Nice work :)
When you're travelling across Ukraine you must watch out, because you can easily gain on weight after visiting all of restaurants and trying ukrainian cuisine
I used to live in that green building where this cafe is located in, a few floors above. The waiters from that place would always smoke on the staircase, lol. Brings back memories :)
Visit the Lviv Arsenal Museum, it houses cool collection of historical weapons from 30 countries. And Lviv Art Gallery too. You can shoot videos in both of those places, you just need pay a little extra for it. Thank you for always saying kind words, I know that in Ukraine we have many negative things that could be improved.
Modern brick Lviv ("the little Cracow") was built by famous Polish King Casimir the Great ,next by Polish ,Austrian artists (np. prof.Dunajewski, prof.Julian & Alfred Zachariewicz, prof.Czerwinski ...) .You are full of complexes, false Nazi-ukrainian(anti-Polish) chauvinist.P.S.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casimir_III_the_Great
I suggest you to stay in Lviv more :) I'm sure you will find a lot of interesting places. This city can surprise you for sure! If your next country is Poland, there's a Intercity express from Lviv to Przemysl - its a cheap ($7-10), fast and has convenient connection for travelers to Krakow, Warszawa, Wroclaw, etc.
If you plan to cross the EU border from Ukraine by the bus/car - just forget this idea. Most of the time there is a very long queue and you can stuck for many hours. Last month we've lost 6+ hrs just at Shehyni-Medyka border point. Use trains or planes. We wish you all the best, and you are always welcome in Ukraine! :)
Like you Two i Really have come to appetite The Ukraine, it’s culture and of course the food!!❤️ May I also say how much I like your videos and I have noticed over the years how professional you have become, the cutting and layout of your videos is so well made. And “ natural”. Thank you both... much apretiated🙏😁🙏
I am Ukrainian and I don't know anyone who eats borsch for breakfast lol. I feel like I am missing out now! I eat eggs and sausages for breakfast or pancakes or lazy varenyky (looks nothing like actual varenyky).
I AM FROM CAPE TOWN SOUTH AFRICA AND THE FOODS THAT YOU HAVE IN YOUR COUNTRY,IS SUPER DUPER. NO, I HAVE NOT BEEN TO YOUR LOVELY COUNTRY, WE ARE VERY EXPENSIVE COUNTRY ,WHERE THE CRIME RATE IS VERY HIGH.PS I HAVE JUST HAD A BURGLARY WHILE I WAS ASLEEP ON THURSDAY EVENING.
What a great food for a breakfast!*_* I'm a sweettooth master so this is best ever♡ the last thing is called 'chrust' or 'favorki' here in Poland and it's one of famous desserts for a donut day called 'fat Thursday' ^^
ONE TIP: If you have more time, you should definitely go to Ukrainian Carpathian's Mountains. There is a nice place where you can go from Lviv (by train to the station Volovets (Воловець) and than by taxi (about 20km) to Pylypets (Пилипець). There you can find a chairlift to mountain Hemba (гора Гeмба), rent a room/house in local Ukrainians. Also you can try there paragliding, ski/snowboard (in the winter) or visit waterfall Shypit (Шипіт). On the top there is a beautiful cafe - Chaiovnia Suria (Чайовня Сурія) - check this on the search, this is really must-visit place. Check those view! instagram.com/explore/locations/926591934087815/
Thank you for sharing that! The views and scenery look absolutely incredible. We'd love to visit the next time we're in Ukraine. We had such a nice visit this year I hope we can return next spring.
Hey guys, did you see any remnants of a Jewish life in Lvov (Yiddish name)? Before the war, there were 100,000 Jews in Lviv. It has an incredible Jewish heritage. Just askin’
Last desert is Khrustiki! (Like crusties, if translated) Western Ukraine's cookies that are normally fried. But I wonder that have never met another Western Ukraine's my favourite Krucheniki- a meat slice (stewed) being stuffed with mushrooms, onions and carrots with podlivka(souce) which is made of browned flour. They look similar to crusties(Khrustiki), not large and really good for dinner. Or stewed cabbage with meat or ribs (normally), looks not nice but original Ukraine's compliment for mashed potatoes
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos It was late lunch time. We ordered by mistake 2- 75ml water bottle but when it got to table we realized we could not drink 2 bottles that large, so without opening or touching them we kindly asked waitress to just replace with smaller ones and she looked at us and simply told us “You ordered this size so you keep this size!” Etc.... then they were upset and service was bad. We should have just left but I so wanted those cherry pancakes Audrey ate 😂
1. The most famous restaurant in Lviv is KRYJIVKA (Криївка) www.fest.lviv.ua/en/restaurants/kryjivka/ 2. Kumpel (Кумпель) is very nice place kumpelgroup.com/en/restaurant/restaurant-brewery-kumpel/ 3. The best coffee, chocolate and beer in Ukraine you can taste in Lviv.
Love the show. The female participant could tone down her facial expression a bit. She has quite strong facial features (eyes and mouth) so being a bit more conservative would help. I hope that this is not taken as an offense. That is not my intention. I am looking forward to next episodes.
Sorry, sweet breakfast are so digusting for me, after I would spend full day in toilet especially with cappucino, only tea and as a coffe double espresso after. Fortunately I had a chance to have just omlette for breakfast during my stays in Lviv, no sweet, was fantastic! I'm sweet enough by myself and I hate sweets, cakes etc, but like your movies! :)
Isn't there a Ukrainian equivalent of scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns, fried tomatoes and mushrooms, spinach with some sort of bread ? That's not breakfast what you had, it's desert.
Let's go. Cram as much food on my fork as possible, open my mouth 5 inches wide, cram it in my mouth. Chew twice, then start talking with my mouth open. Repeat. Disgusting. Stop talking with your mouth full!
The city was founded by the Ukrainian king Danylo Halytskyi for his son Lev. during history it was under the rule of different countries Austro Hungary , Soviet Union, Poland. If it was under the rule of Poland does not make it a Polish city 🤷♀️🤦♀️
