Today is an exciting day for Brenda!! Her new greenhouse is ready and Jim & the horses are putting it in place in the garden! Then, we are brushing and weighing our draft horses.

Brenda, I love your greenhouse!! You've already got it decorated so sweet, and already putting it to use starting some cool weather planting!!👍 I always am excited when it's "weigh-in" day! Everyone is gaining well. I was anxious to see Lady's weight as her pregnancy progresses! I think she's showing more this time than when pregnant with Bree! She has a nice baby bump😘. And that Earl is a chunk!!!!😊 Bree is gorgeous; she has all the beauty of her mom and handsome dad. A beautiful filly she is❤. Thanks for letting us see all the horses today, I love them all!!

I absolutely love it when Brenda gives us close ups of the horses. Also they are always well turn out with super decorations on the bridles, really smart. It show the love for the gentle giants.

One tip for William to add: take some kind of aluminum tape all around the perimeter of the polycarbonate panels. It keeps water from forming on the open cells, turning the panels green later down the line. Several greenhouse folks recommended it because their sunpanels have either turned white or green in the open cells. And Brenda, get some kind of plastic liners for the boxes because it will rot the boxes eventually. I love to see the hanging basket poles lined up for your plants above! Can't wait to see you do things with it! I love the greenhouse set up and I'm planning on getting one this spring!

You can also fill the ends of the polycarbonate with some kind of silicone to keep the water out

A further preventive measure- drill some drainage holes in the ox bases, to help get rid of any condensation between the plastic and the wood that hot sunshine may produce. O just wonder if the depth of the boxes may produce 'leggy plants??? Brenda, can I swap my untidy greenhouse for yours?? Just float it across "The Pond"😂

That greenhouse is really nice. If you wanted, you could put a little potbelly stove, or a boat stove, or even a little electric heater in it, and be able to use it all winter. With your outdoors boiler, you could run a loop of pex through it and hook it into the furnace. You could also add some higher shelves if you wanted. That will really help your garden. Curtis Stone had shelves in his greenhouse that were head high and tilted so they would get the most light, which he used for growing microgreens. Either way, that is really going to up your game in your garden. That thing was sliding so easily, I bet the two of you could push it over to where you wanted it.

As always, wonderful job with the video footage Brenda and congrats on your green house! You will enjoy that for sure. Its good to see Jim and William building green houses and sheds. Its a challenge to keep a large farm going, as we know first hand. We are older and choose our ventures carefully. We have a small firewood business from the tops of the trees we log, in addition to the hay and Herefords. Horses all look great! ~ Diane

Duke cheats and definitely leans against the wall with his butt or most of his right side from behind the withers back. The butt was almost always against the wall except for entering/exiting the scale. That's what is causing the weight fluctuation on him. He does it consistently when Jim moves away from his head. He is slick, especially with his butt.😢

Duke seemed to be leaning against the wall while he was being weighed, which would make him seem to weigh less. All of the horses are looking great, especially Lady with her baby belly. 😊

Great Video today Jim and Brenda. The greenhouse is fantastic with William's terrific carpentry skills and Brenda' making a great plan in the interior layout. It'll definitely help her enhance her passion for gardening. which help get her planting underway earlier in the season. Jim , great job on positioning the new greenhouse on the edge of the garden . All the horses are doing well weight wise for sure.

There are dangerous nails sticking out of the wall near the scale. If a horse walks too close to the wall, it can be injured. Please pull those nails out! Nice greenhouse! Love the channel! Cheers!

I love watching life on (and off!) your farm. It's a complete contrast to the urban view I have! I may be wrong but it looked to me as if Duke was leaning up the wall while you were weighing him! The other horses were clear. Hope the greenhouse works well. It looks great!

I LOVE all your horses,,,,,so magnifient and beautiful, Wow Bree is really growing tall, Also I love each time you weigh the horses.....because it show cases each horse and I get to see them singlely. Well Kenny has been working a lot on the farm with William no way has he gained that much. I thought Lady would have been on more weight Jim had loosing and adjust her straps. Brenda that green house is absolutely beautiful. I so want one but, I am so far in Texas I would have to build my own.

very nice day visit,,glad its warmer . greenhouse is just what ya need Brenda. alot of hard work getting the trees out of the woods,then to the mill, and nice finish. would be ideal to make latches,handles and knobs from trees off the farm.. horses always look super,have to laugh ..gotta get a little bite of hay... its like us in the PEA PATCH..😅❤❤❤❤❤❤ video!

If you remember when Duke started some real work, he looked bigger than the horse he was with. I suggested then he was fat. I guess he worked off his "puppy fat". Lady looking heavy in foal now, carrying high and wide. I am praying for another filly, for a matched pair, colts grow a bit taller. Lovely day on the farm. Greetings from Australia.

Mr Jim something that might help, with the moving of green house. Even though you have many years of towing stuff that I will never have! Just a different thought, take your two long chains and them to each side of the cart. And then to each side of the green house. If my thinking is right it should make the building track behind the cart. Y'all stay safe

Lady looks huge, did you have to let her harness out last time? LOL Probably carrying a big ole stud colt:-) OR the camera adds 20 pounds for animals also haha Love the greenhouse !
