I would love to try this version but what I'm truly after is another Greek Vegetable dish I feel in love with uses pretty much the same vegetables but it's much more "saucy" almost like a stew. However I think it was baked too. You mentioned other recipes that use the same vegetables. It's love to try more. Thanks
i just made this and i wasn't sure how well it might be received by my husband and 3 sons. well they all loved it!!!!!!! I wanted to get rid of some french feta so about half way through baking, i crumbled some feta. this dish was just super and i'm looking forward to making it during lent for our church, sans the feta.
except for the red onions and potatoes, i had all the veggies from our garden. i didn't have the zucchini, but we did have yellow summer squash. this was a great way to use up all those veggies. we had so many herbs, that i dried them and used them as an herbs de provence. thanks for this great video
Then you don't appreciate the nature of the dish. Use whatever oil you want but then it's not Briam. Not sure why people have an interest in following a recipe but then change the entire core of it. The olive oil is the basis for the dish! If you don't like olive oil then you don't like Briam. You may as well just saute vegetables in a pan with any tasteless, insignificant oil. Holy shit. That's like saying "I want to make a BLT but I don't like bacon...can I use sliced chicken?" Of course you can use whatever you want - but then it's not a BLT is it? It's something else.
