Really hard to rack a builders van out for everything you need. Especially when you move jobs with mixers barrows, trestles etc. Also at some point during a job you will need a few sheets of plasterboard etc when you are trying to get ahead of a plasterer for example, when you cant wait on a delivery. A lot of racking takes up valuable " big space ". What you said is spot on, " dont rush it". Wait and see how you want to use your van. Good luck.
I hated using a van for work. Yeah they’re convenient for the tools and even moving materials but they are thief magnets. You have to get a vault and also insure your tools. They don’t even bother just damaging the lock these days they just get there fingers in top of door and bend the whole door in half. Grand later and that’s if they didn’t take anything else. Have a fabricator make you a solid steel box and put some decent locks on. Then buy a decent immobiliser or they just take the whole van. Hate to say all that but that’s the world we live in these days, you can’t have fuck all.
I've been on site where 8 /9 motors have been done quick time they dress up in all the ppe and know one takes a blind bit of notice filthy cunts, sad world we live in that a working man has to worry about his tools getting stolen
Nearly fell off my perch laughing when Amy opened the van door, get one of those bumper dumpers they used on top gear when they went to the north pole lol
Hi Charlie as for fitting your van out you should get in touch with system rack it on ig . As for alarm put a ghost alarm in there on utube I think this is the best Alarm on the market. Then keep a bat just inside your front door and the ball .love watching the channel mate . 👍👍👍👍👍😊
With the racking Charlie, I recommend doing a timber mock up of what you think you want. Gives you chance to see if it works or not and easy to change if it doesn’t. Then you can get pictures of how you want it and get it fabricated properly.
I swear you've got some kind of bricklaying jedi power the way you throw that muck along the blocks. Nice light content. What's Amy going todo when Jordans back? Ain't she doing half his job?
Well worth the investment. Damn I hate thieves . Had every one of my tools stolen last year everything. When me and the family and dog were on vacation out of my garage. I can't find a 10inch philadelphia trowel that's my go to unless I wanna spend 60$ to 100$ love your videos bud keep up the great work. Oh yeah ami screw what the assholes say bout you your a hard ass worker. I would work with you any day. Hell you keep up better then most men I know good job girl. Be easy stay chill
Coming from a transit owner who recently had one stolen and found get a steering wheel lock, pedal clamp and get the door locked changed and a good alarm to keep the thieves at bay
Get some magnetic signs made up which you can take off at night. I’m a chippy and I would love first and second fix on your work. It’s Always plumb and level would make my life easier. Keep up the great work bro
We have come to the end of celebrity's and all that bollocks. People have woken up and realise that watching real people doing real thing's is more entertaining. Bringing your gurt into the equation is fucking genius. 👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊. Keep it up
Magnetic signs seem good idea. Dead locks and a steal cage inside with locks seems an excellent idea as previously mentioned in the comments. Take care of this van Charlie mate. Lmao you on the potty 😂😂😂😂😁 All these jobs sound interesting look forward to it 👍👍👍🍺
Just recently got myself a tranist crew van Charlie and I'm in same predicament do I fit deadlocks or not my thoughts are that it makes it look like a challenge and the know it's full of tackle
charlie why not invest in a bumper hoist, its a conveyor belt type machine for lifting block an such to high places, it takes two to operate one loading the belt at the bottom one taking off at the top
Charlie, have you ever used the spear and Jackson, whs 10 inch, Philadelphia pattern trowel, I suffer from bad tendonitis, and it's meant to be one of the best trowels, for any Bricklayer, with elbow or wrist problems, love d videos 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
You can get them magnetic sign writing done and he could take them off at night most builders van get robbed last year 4 x my man all integral about £35,000
I’d still take my most valuable tools indoors at night. Leave the boxes open and just carry the drills, grinders etc in a bag. Big sign saying ‘No tools left in van’. I know it’s a hassle but it’s the pricey cordless stuff they mostly want.
Your van is at risk of getting robbed sign written or not. They target vans for big companies. Dead locks - upgrade alarm and for some other bits. You can get pepper spray trips that fit to the inside of your van
Same bus as me m8. You’ve got plenty info on setting up the back. My advice is get a reversing camera on the back high up brake light that has a screen in the cab. Cost me about £300 all in. How many vans you seen bashed at the back???? Not mine👍🏻🏴🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧🤝👍🏻
Hi Charlie, I use a magnetic sign you can get larger ones that you can just pop on the side of the van when u arrive at site or when travelling around locally then before heading home take the magnetic signs of stick them in the back and ur good to go no one will know what kit u have in the back. And you can get sensors which are extremely loud every time some goes near to the van just for when leaving it unattended and parked up ect
Don't be rushing spending dough mate make sure it's secure and what you've said about parking close to the wall and your Jeep blocking it sounds good just make sure the Jeep got Alarm that will go off even if the window got shattered..
That’s a big van for just a few levels and bucket of trowels, personally if your not in short supply of work then don’t sign write it, won’t bother with van camera just get dead locks and big van vault. Unless your planning to use plaster board? I won’t bother with a false floor.
Don't let your Heart Rule your head, First, middle and last is SECURITY, I know lads who have got steel cages inside their vans for added security, if it does get broken into there is an extra level of security, deadlocks on all doors essential, it's really simple mate if you don't secure it you deserve to get robbed - sounds harsh but true. Get up on a winters morning come down to your van at 7 o'clock and theres fuck all there, take a few minutes to imagine that. Alarm signals to your phone at 2 o'clock in the morning witth a few bevies inside you, by the time you get to your van with your basball bat - it's all over. Do the right thing - you know it makes sense.
Been watching you for a few week now . I’m a bricky. . Any fool can lay Celcon blocks . We give our apprentice lads block work .. show your brickwork capability’s . Hello. Any x
So stu Compton tried out the pick and dip method today, his fan base slated it saying perps don’t get filled properly and it’s messy compared to the traditional method. What’s your honest thoughts? If you were building a house for yourself would you go pick and dip or traditional?
Just watched it, that was not pic and dip. He needed to put more mortar down for the perp, he just laid a normal bed so was obviously going to have gaps
Hi how are you good job I want to know where can I buy clump and this all things for brick laying like corner pipe cump etc plz send me all things name and where from I can buy thanks
Get a steel site safety box and screw it down in your van with extra padlock ,keep your most expensive tools in it so if van gets broke into they still can’t get into the box
I would just upgrade the locks mate it makes no difference if its sign written or not the thives will target any van just had mine done over the side doors are vunrable . its a ball ache but i take power tools out at night .
Either way it still fucks you tho cause although the power tools are more money it takes a long time to build up your little bits and bobs and your worn in stuff, it’s the little bits you find much harder to get back
Robbing bastards will get into the van no matter how close you park to walls etc, if I was you get it sign written and maybe look for a little lock up you can rent to keep spare materials and the van?
Im a scaff but enjoy the vids first thing i noticed was ladders arent secureing thats a rookie mistake especially on camera. And all the open edges tut tut lol😂😂 one more thing wheres the boys? I get impression youve been kicked off site but i hope im wrong keep up the good work 👍
