Ive got day 1 of this build recommended on youtube and now i cant stop watching it you bastards haha top work lads, charlie you seem like such a sound bloke to work for and taking the time to teach others your a good man 👍🏻👊🏻
7:26 little trick my dad taught me when I was 14 and learning his trade was to turn the mixer on before shovelling the sand and cement into it. Never done it this way round before but RU-vid is all about learning new ideas and how to better yourself so I’ll definitely give this way of mixing a go. Seems it’ll be 100% cheaper on the Electric/petrol cost though so economically it’s a Governments dream.
Yeah your dad is right because turning the mixer on after filling it ruins the mixers battery and takes more time and cause compo to not mix in well, always turn it on before filling haha.
A metal beam is always difficult to raise, i use to put Lead sheets right under the point, where the beam rests, and another thing, where the points of the beam rest it was made out of konkos. But great job, wish i had one of those lifters, to lift the beams, imagine lifting by hands and pullys only.
Great to see someone that actually knows what there teaching. One question I have is why are you not using cavity closers. On the reveals. Cold bridge will occur.?
The " linton waddle 😂😂😂👌👍 great channel.. Every one does it different... Were not f in robots.. Long as the job gets done customers happy.. Thts all tht counts end of 👍🐦
Charlie i got a question for ya! why do you always carry a bolster chisel with you? As i rarely use my bolster, wondering if you cut bricks to size with it effectively? i mostly work brick veneer on townhouses lots of cuts and if the bolster could make my cuts straighter i would like to carry one on my belt. thanks buddy keep on keeping on
Brilliant as always.. Who is stu crumpton???? Quote of the day your Mrs Amy at 11:40mins in "Don't get me wet then" 🤣 loving every day Char 👌👌👌 keep it up 👍
Amy "say please" Charlie "piss off this is a building site" Doing a great job teaching them. TIP Always stick a board under your mixer. Anything that falls out goes back in and forget the counting shovels of sand bollocks. Just 2/3 a bag of cement and fill it up.
Nice video Amy the boys got to watch it now with a woman in charge.👍 good teamwork but don't cut corners with safety it might bite you in the arse. Looking forward to tomorrow.👍👍
Enjoying the uploads Charlie....be interested to so what the inspector makes of that return upto reveal on the front corner....out of interest why have you closed the cavity at window reveals??
Omg do I need glasses, was that Jim the let down on the build?😂 Jim why on earth would you put a load in the mixer while it's off? 😂😂😂 Jim Pal I wouldn't count on passing the army exam 😂😂 When Jordan and Jim lifting the steel Jim you looked exhausted pal! 😂 Amy top filming and good banter/wind ups lol👍 Good progress team, look forward to the next one 👍👍🍺👌💪
@@jvstin9959 no not really sir, as that's not for me. I was just having some banter. I have said previously in the comments Jim is a top bloke along with Charlie Frank and Jordan, they all make up a good team. Sorry If for some reason that offended you. Have a good day.
For me two crews was comfortable three crews I’d lose sleep at night you always need at least one indispensable person per crew that you can rely on That’s my 2p Worth
30:13 In this remarkable scene, a collective of individuals harmoniously collaborates to relocate a substantial metallic entity, showcasing the innate strength and coordination within the human endeavor.
If I told yall it only took me and the guy who taught me masonry , to lift away those steal beams 🤦🏽😳. Who would be that🤷🏽. And that's why I have sciatica damage in my back. Man's Work🤝🏽💪🏽⚠️
Do you ever have a chat with neighbours who are living next to a big job? You know like how long the jobs going to last, what will be happening on any particular day etc etc....... Just wondering if it’s the done thing to them sweet.
Hi Charlie. Doing big steels we lift it with a short 4x2 underneath it too with a man either side too get it over close too genie lift. That’s waddling will fuck your back m8
I was just looking at that, should of at least cut through with a disc cutter and put a vertical damp course in, the damp will travel across the way that's done, they are fxxxd now.
Why is there no cut into the existing house cavity and damp slid in to stop penertrating damp charly between your wall starter kits ? Is there a diffrent system used .? Our local building control insist on this
Jesus lads why did you not take riser of inspection chamber and throw a few of cuts of 4inch pipe on ground and just slide steel over them, made that look like hard work better not mention them men and laser level that made me chuckle but every days a learning day 👍
Bollicks to health and safety that's what's wrong with construction to much health and safety and no one fit for a days graft, at the end of the day health and safety is just common sense 👍
Kin'ell I've never seen that many men on an rsj 🤣🤣 yeah id deffo be getting the local hiab to crane them in. Up here in Birmingham there's a fella that can get them pretty much anywhere for £300.00 using a container hiab. I dread to think what the Labour cost was on all them bods. Side note, I've never seen a mixer being loaded dry and not turned on. But yano first for everything 😅🙈 Fair play to you mate, iron out the creases with the lads and mould them how you want them and you'll be right. Means you can slow it down on the tools yourself and start shopping around for more work and more blokes. Your other half fits in well already, She'll keep them boys on their toes for ya.
100% spot on also I was told in the old days of the YTS sceme in the 80's water and cement in first so every grain of sand gets coated as you add it. Great cinematography by Amy, she has a talent there
