I love this mother in law. She came in seeming very opinionated, but when she saw the dresses on, she was willing to shift her opinion. That’s the best attitude.

Her dress cost under $4000 USD, so relatively reasonable considering an unlimited budget. She looked gorgeous and I love the family support.

I think she's got one of the best inlaws I've come across on Say Yes to the dress, the MIL and the groom, both were so supportive of what she liked and loved not really caring about the fact if they picked it or not

Mother in law is good at giving critiques without being rude or harsh. I wouldn't be surprised if she has an art related career.

The 1st dress did unfortunately look like a nightgown on her. I agree about the color looking vintage which is lovely. The last dress suited her best given the vintage lace details.

When the mother in law came in and started saying that they weren't leaving until they found a dress that she approved of I thought this bridal appointment was headed down hill before it even got started but the mother in law surprised me. At the end of the appointment she only had the best of intentions for helping to make sure that her daughter in law looked perfect in her wedding dress. I wish my mother in law was like this

I've said it before and I will say it again. NO GIFT should include a disclaimer that "If I don't like it, it's a no." That happened to me with clothes, and I told this person to kindly keep their money, and I walked away. Needless to say, they came after me and told me to get what I wanted instead.

That’s one of the most unique and beautiful dresses I have ever seen.

All of these sleeveless gowns were beautiful, but a tiny sleeve or combo of beaded "sleeves" would have also been complimentary. 💘 the vibe of the Mother of the groom!👌😊

I have just become a Mother in law and i never gave my opinion on anything unless it was asked for and even then i was very careful what i said.

I don't necessarily love the comments the consultants are making about money, I understand they prefer not being limited by budget but it doesn't make people with a budget feel good.

I'm hoping the mother in law won't be interfering in their marriage. It is very controlling, and as the bride is a lovely girl and all she seems to want is to impress her. I know someone close to me whose mother in law was exactly like this before they got married. She also wanted to be the brides wedding planner, she was butting in when it wasn't her business; law and behold the couple might be heading for divorce because of the mother in law is still meddling. They had so many issues year one and have only been married 2 years. And yes, he, too, is his mother's boy

If you look back at some of the 1940’s and 50’s dresses and all that era, they are truly jaw dropping. True feature pieces that would stun people. Now, the dresses are ok, but not too many wedding guests really remember what the bride was wearing sadly, as most are average dresses and all quite alike. The seamstresses and designers don’t have the same intricate talent they did back then, plus now the styles are mostly the same, so too much stress to find ‘the one’.. chill. xx
