Great video and did anyone laughed at that guy who just missed the train? That slam door unit that is just white is a good idea that all trains should be painted white that only has the companies logo on it and when the franchise is up it saves the downtime of repainting it its more likely just to peel off the old companys logo to replace it with the new one.
When Great British Railways take over they will all be repainted in National colours with just the company name placed on the side of the train. Like London Buses now.
Primarily the Brighton-Reading service, in addition to this there were also Brighton-Basingstoke services initially operated by class 421/423’s and later class 450’s; occasionally an 159 would operate a service to Exeter.
The unit was a Virgin Cross Country service, I can't remember where it went to but it ran for a few years. It arrived mid afternoon and returned about a hour later.
@@jackbarrowclough1739 Sorry I got it wrong, the 158's were borrowed and used on the service to Portsmouth and on to Cardiff I think. The picture that came up with your comment showed I Virgin Cross Country arriving at Brighton, it confused me. Sorry
