I find this episode strange. Firstly, we were taught to use one foot to go around the rope and the other foot stepping on it while pulling with our hands, much easier and faster that way, in our standard obstacles course. Oh and we definitely don’t have the luxury of someone massaging our feet, even at medical centres. Then, movements were not tactical at all when they go about placing the charge on the wall, to and from and then taking cover as a bunch behind another wall just waiting for one arti or mortar to take them all out? As recruits, we never got the chance to “fail and don’t make it so we are out”, they’ll make us do until we pass, no such thing as “out”. And, tactical at all times, weapon pointing at buddy or instructor and we get hell for the next hour.

I feel sorry for the innocent people that just want to be left alone and live their lives and farm their land, even after war innocent Afghans are dying from stepping on unexploded mines. I was never a fan of Muslims but some Afghans are really nice people that would give their life to save a stranger, and it has been proven few times when Afghans saved the lives of American soldiers, even when the enemy came and threatened their whole families life if they don't give up the soldier they still won't give them up. One Afghan had his father killed for not giving up an American soldier, which he could have easily have done but he gave up his father's life to save an wounded American soldier, so just remember not all Muslims are bad, but I still have trust issues not knowing who is bad and who is not. But the absolute best Muslims I have met have been Kurdish.
