Haha. It's hard to look at him looking back at you, and telling him no! lol I'm sure he's not a mean guy, but his size and look can be very intimidating lol.
+al112v5 because with a 5-3 record and Diverticulitis he won and defended the UFC Heavyweight title twice, you won't see many other fighters win a UFC title in their 4th fight ever
I love how WWE portrayed Brock as a beast someone who doesn't like anyone but in this video he seems like such a down to earth guy who just does what he loves and never does any body any harm
+seheadhunter50 overeem couldn't be better now to be honest... He's got the most legit chance at winning the belt... He's smarter since he went to Jackson-Wink with his fighting, I don't think IF they had a rematch it would end differently at least not at this point in overeem's career.
Overeem for that fight was busted with steroid abuse and tried fleeing the country after that fight! Look how he looks now. His a toothpik. They should rematch!
Good luck Brock. If things had of gone differently and he had gone straight from Amateur wrestling to MMA and gotten the proper training from day 1... He could have gone down as one of the greatest ever. Very tough fight ahead 5 years out of the cage.
Don't forget about the stint in the NFL and his roid rage issues. He would never have been able to be as quick and strong as he is now if he wouldn't have been protected by the WWE. They don't care if their fighters are on steroids. Then again neither does the UFC, since the top billed athletes get free passes such as Jon Jones and Anderson Silva
Despite all the fortune, midia and fame , Brock seems to be a humble human being, a simple man. He is a natural born fighter, Brock Lesnar has nothing to prove to anyone, only to himself. This dude is a real warrior
"This dude is a real warrior" when he is roided up anyway... this fight is BS. They're letting a guy on juice fight. they even waved the testing time to come back from retirement. Hunt really should juice for this one. It's only fair.
Meanwhile CM Punk achieved another career milestone today by successfully defending his vaunted UFC “streak,” keeping it at 0-0. “My secret weapon is not fighting,” Punk said in an interview today, revealing his unorthodox strategy. SMH
He was exempt from the last 4 months of testing because he wasn't on the roster. No telling how much he got in in that time. Plus, he will be cutting from about 295 to the 265 limit.
he aint weighing 265 at the fight. dana exempted him from testing, he will "arrange" a 265 weight. brock is much bigger at the wwe size than his previous ufc run. dude is 300 pounds.
+bdegrds that's my point. 265 is the ufc weight limit. He should have a hard time cutting. They didn't say anything about an exemption from making weight
@peroxsigh they would never say it publicly, they would just have a previous arrangement with the guy reading the scale to just say 265 no matter how much he weighed. brock has to do summerslam a month or so later he cant just drop a bunch of muscle.
LOL you don't watch much UFC do you? There aren't any top contenders in the heavyweight division that Brock can out-strike and they gave him someone with great take-down defense who also hits harder than anyone else in the division. Good luck with that..
Great video. I don't remember ever hearing Brock so humble/human/natural. Nice change of pace. I really hope he does well and comes out with the W. Good luck man.
If Lesnar was a beast in the UFC, when he was not at 100%.... just imagine, what it will look like, when he has one last fight at UFC200!! He has my full support on this. I´m rooting for him.
but he wasnt a beast when he wasnt 100 percent..... he got destroyed. he was a beast when he WAS 100 percent when he 1st went in, but to say he was a beast after he had the disease is retarded , you clearly didnt watch ufc.
Luis Joe Suarez And you clearly didn´t watch the video. Cause Heyman said in the video, that Lesnar did had this disease even before he went to UFC.....
I hope this paves the way for more WWE superstars to prove their "legitimacy", not necessarily by stepping into the octagon, but using more MMA techniques, implementing BJJ and whatnot in their movesets
I fucking hate when people use BJJ in wrestling because its mostly done wrong like Samoa Joe does the Coquina Clutch wrong and it angers me cuz i actually practice and teach jiujitsu
The WWE trains it's wrestlers to perform a match in a certain way. The WWE won't allow its wrestlers to wrestle that way, the WWE wants a match to tell a story. The WWE wants it's matches to look like movies, they don't want their matches to look like a sporting contest. Vince McMahon controls everything every single wrestler does, the WWE roster can't even wear the boots they want to wear.
It's great to see Brock getting a lot of support and love for his comeback love him or hate him the dude has balls he's taking probably the hardest fight he can take respect
You got this Brock, I knew you had this since you beat Mir. I was there when you lost to Overeem but I had a feeling that wasn't going to be the last time we see you in the octagon. See you at 200!
As a wrestling fan, I can now say with certainty, that Brock shouldn't be with us. I can actually see the passion and happiness when he talks about UFC and I have never seen Brock like that about the wrestling business. But what can you do, he's under contract for the next two years.
he should stay with the UFC and get it out of his system, then come back once he's legit done with the UFC and too old to compete in the UFC. because obviously you can go longer in the WWE than you can in the UFC
His moveset has become boring as fuck tbh.Just suplexes and F5's.Let him remain in ufc and wwe should focus on making upcoming guys like balor the next big thing
He still likes WWE and he cuts a huge check, you don't have to be a genius to know he has never loved WWE, he does it for the money, if you couldn't tell that before this interview ur pretty stupid, this guy was put in this earth to compete, but I'm sure he does like WWE, just not a passion never has been
Good for you Broc, life is full of ups and downs and sometimes the hardest thing for one to do is find what one wants to do. I personally admire an individual who aims high and goes for what they believe in. No matter what happens it takes courage to challenge yourself on this level of competition. Good luck out there, but you don't need luck if your good.
I'm *SHOCKED* by the amount of people who think that Hunt will just KO Brock. I'm shocked that he's even the favorite. Brock will WALK THROUGH Hunt, easily. With his healthiness, he's no doubt the best wrestler in the division and virtually unstoppable. Have you all forgotten how Mark Hunt was completely dominated by Stipe Miocic who outwrestled him EASILY. I'm the biggest Stipe fan ever but Brock is the better wrestler. He's also bigger, stronger, faster and just more athletic. He will have no problems at all with Hunt. He'll easily take him down and smother him there. TKO win 100%, mark my damn words!
I have never been a fan of lesnar as a pro wrestler or a fighter. But i agree with u 100% . The guy is a freak when hes healthy . Back when he destroyed mir and shane . I thought at that time that this guy would never lose the title . But when he fought cain . I was like thats a completely different brock . The disease really killed brock's career . So my prediction is that will be an easy take down and hammer fists win for brock
The same way you think people are underestimating Brock is the same way you are underestimating Mark. Don't count the Super Samoan out. A true knockout artist vs. a legitimate national wrestling champion
huh.. i actually like hearing him speak, hes always interesting and just seems real, like the diaz bros, i wish, seriously wish he would go to their gym for a bit, have them work him out for a day, give him some pointers and then get him some connections for striking trainers/training. either way i like brock alot and hope we see a few great years out of him. can you a imagine a polished striking lesnar? he's got a ways to go but he can do it. maybe he can just call freddie roach.
Brock's passion and enthusiasm are undeniable. I know he doesn't like talking or doing interviews, so it was really cool to get his perspective on this in his own words.
I have the outmost respect for Brock. Having so much stamina and speed with that size is insanely impressive. And we all could see how hurt he was when he fought Overeem, he wasnt himself. So i cant wait to see Brock going 100% in UFC again.
Whether he wins or loses I give him mad respect for what he's doing. He's had a disease that borderline killed him all his life, and still he's accomplished accolades that is simply amazing. I know Brock doesn't like being around people nor do I, but I look up to him not because of the whole Suplex city gimmick, but because of his work ethic. His shear Will to overcome and get better. Best of luck to you Brock!
have u seen brock against carwin. d guy can take a few punches. n come on.....do u really think tat mark hunt has more power in his punches than Shane carwin, i dont think so. n brock can take anybody down.
***** anybody can get caught at that level. He might lose but then again he might not. Rockhold though Bisping would be light work again but...he got caught. So we'll see what happens.
OG Tripleog That's true, it is close to impossible to predict how an MMA fight gonna go and its outcome. Which is what I think is one of the many reasons why MMA is such an exhilarating sport. But the fact that Brock Lesnar haven't fought a real fight in years and that he's gonna fight a guy who is known for his one shot knockout power gives you the confidence you need to make the case that Brock Lesnar will most likely lose. In the end, it is as you said, we'll see what happens.
I disagree. He sounds fairly articulate, genuine and candid in this interview. I do think he's focused and I do think he's a simple person at heart, but that's not a bad thing. Plenty of people dislike Brock and I'm pretty sure he won't be the betting favorite going into this fight, but he's more skilled & intelligent than most people think.
Never had much faith in Brock as a UFC fighter until he took apart Frank Mir. To know he was ill when he did it, just wow. You don't fuck Mir up in such a way when you are on top form unless you are awesome. To do it ill and without the years of experience in MMA is astounding. Full respect.
Yep i want my superstar the beast brock lesnar to b both ufc heavyweight champ and wwe universal championship at same time .....i support u brock and paul heyman sir.....im sure brock will win summerslam match....still remain as the champ
Ricky Schmidt Yeah I know it's Hunt. If Hunt wins he should definitely be in the top 5. He just ko'ed Mir, so I think he's the right choice. Sunday morning when the announcement happened in the UK, my brother and I were discussing who he will fight, and I said Hunt. This fight will definitely have a finish dude. I can't wait.
Most wrestling managers are (or were back when managers were used more) just mouth-pieces and "heat magnets" to help the wrestlers who didn't have the charisma to get over by themselves (like Brock), but a few of them actually did work as full-time managers, taking care of their guys finances and travel schedules and negotiating contracts. Heyman does that for Brock, just like Paul Ellering did it for the Road Warriors
According to him... "Why means I just want to"... As simple as day after night n then day again... He talk from heart and his face describe this... He is living his dream..and for dis he worked his assoff..... He is inspiring..coz he is restless..
Great to see you two together outside WWE context. A lot more interesting than the boring and predictable crap the WWE sells these days. Good luck in the Octagon!
I have the upmost respect for Brock Lesnar. What he accomplished whilst fighting a crippling disease is incredible. Loved his simple answer of because he wants too and that being the most important thing, so true Brock go get them! The man is a legitimate beast.
From the moment he decides he wants to do it, to the day he fights, Brock Lesnar can get in the octagon in just over 30 days. CM Punk on the other hand.....
Fuck, I can't choose who I want to win. On one hand there's Lesnar, and as a huge Wrestling fan I can't wait to see him get back in the Octagon, but on the other hand, there's Mark Hunt. As a New Zealander myself I can't help but to support him and if he manages to beat Lesnar he's almost guaranteed a World Title fight. Either way, this'll be a great fight.
man I hope lesnar wins in a small fraction I fear that brock might lose, I mean face it he hasn't fought in the octagon in 5 years plus hes getting older but the lesnar can move fast, hes good on his feet brock needs to avoid standup n take hunt down
Definitely a good test for mark hunt... being that brock is a huge wrestler, careful mark... and good luck brock, loved seeing this guy have fun in the octagon and slowly but surely was maturing as a person with bits of humbleness.
+Rahul Kashyap Helwani was one of the guys who announced brocks return before the ufc and Dana white had the chance to announce it. Therefore, he is banned for UFC for announcing his return when he's a reporter which is stupid imo .
Not really. Ariel Helwani is a reporter and he was basically doing what any other reporter would do but Dana White (little douchebag that he is) decided to ban Helwani for life. But it is bad bc Helwani is good at what he does too
