Brother of Kevin Spacey Shares His Own Abuse Story 

Say what you will he was smart enough and strong enough to stop the cycle of abuse.

That’s just tragic. Parents can be your best friends or your worst enemies. Just never blame yourself for this sick abuse.

He says "my brother could possibly be worse than my father." Wow. I have a feeling him and Kev wont be making up anytime soon.

I see alot of mocking and joking in these comments. I can't imagine how sexual abuse victims feel these days where molestation is mocked. Probably keeps alot of people from comibg forward. Sad.

It's just God awful that a parent could harm their babies!! Sickening to the core, and look how it effects them...to say sad or any words just will never do it justice or say enough about the amount of pure evil in someone to hurt a child, especially their own! When and where they should feel at home protected,safe,heard, Understood, and learning/growing, being guided by caring parents!!!!

Being abused does not give u any right to abuse another. It is not an excuse ever.

The truth is never wrong. This man’s story is very typical. There is a shunning that occurs to the victims. Family abandon the victims because they cannot bear to deal with the family trauma and they look away and put it in their past by ignoring the victim. Out of sight out of mind. He probably has no contact with his brother for the same reason. Feel very bad for this man but he has revealed a lot and i am sure it would benefit others who have experienced the same shunning.

When I see people putting the pieces of themselves together or back together and becoming who they are suppose to be and who they want to be after going through excruciating traumas, it just leaves me in awe. The strength and will power we have inside is extraordinary. Fortunately or unfortunately one person cannot do this alone. There are a lot of people around , professionals and not that come to the rescue. So speak up. Speak up speak up SPEAK UP! A modern civilised society will not allow and should not allow the consequences of the spoken abuse to be harder than the abuse itself.

This is what's wrong with this world. I was just telling a friend of mine yesterday. The older I get the more I find out that people I know and grew up with were molested or have molested. This is a sad place, this world, and I can't wait for Jesus to return and end all the hatred and abuse

It's common for a sick parent to target one child so they are isolated from other siblings,It's also common for usually an older sibling to suffer to protect their younger siblings.This is why when it comes out YEARS LATER siblings turn on the accuser. it's really sad as a child I was abused but I never used anyone else I could never see myself hurting anyone so I think sometimes it is a cop out.

You aren’t always responsible for what happened to you as a child but you ARE always responsible for what you do as an adult. Spacey and his brother are perfect examples of that. His brother chose to not continue the abuse. Spacey chose to turn into his father.
