Hi Brian, great job. Can I ask if is unusual to see a B31 with a bare metal head rather than painted black? The head on these is a beautiful pattern and casting. That sleeve is so thick, is that because the B31 is just a sleeved down B33 barrel?
Hi, iv'e never seen a bare metal head or cylinder, not sure what BSA used. I guess the barrels are the same casting for the B33 but not sure, iv'e bored out B31 to 76mm to take a t20 piston before, gives about 400cc. All these engines are strong and robust
