My sister lives in Seabrook and they are still without power. Their home was not damaged. Sadly they lost a lot of trees. But thankful their home wasn’t damaged.❤🙏🏻
Kim, you are a trooper. Our grandson collected dvd’s just like Levi, we could never understand why he loved them so much. 💙🤷♀️ but they made him happy so we let him.
Morning Kim and Levi . You know just a little future thought. I always fill up five big water jugs or milk jugs, and keep them in my big freezer, in case of power outage. I just keep them there. They will help keep it cold longer. Just a thought. I keep the jugs I get water, or milk in, to store water for emergencies, for toilet flushing, or other things. There are so many uses for those jugs. Humans are resourceful . Love y’all.

I don't know how yall keep your head up. I lost A/C last week. It was 118 and they had to order a part. It came in on Thursdays. But I did have power. But yall don't have anything. Praying you get it soon. I tell you Kim everyone can learn a lesson from you. I know I am❤❤

Good Morning Kim and Levi. Your bath was like camping. Dad built us an outdoor shower room camping, we had hanging bags of pretty warm heated water with a shower head. A connected room to dry & change. What memories. Glad you are both coping well. Sending my love to you both ❤️.
Good Tuesday morning Kim and Levi. I can just imagine what would of had to go thru if Levi couldn't use his tablet or watch his favorite movies. Being autistic their set in their ways. When we lost power for 6days bc of a tornado their was no emergency plan set as they hadn't had anything of this magnitude happen before. My mother relied on family for assistance as she had polio and no assistance that she normally would have contacted her or family with what to do that may be available in town. Thru word by mouth we could go and get food vouchers for loss of food and use them at the only store opened that ran on a generator. Heard an 18 wheeler was in town selling generators and we bought one. We had a camping stove so that was ok. I lived beside the highway and saw ppl driving by with 4 or 5 generators. Don't think it was for them. Heartless!!. Have a fantastic day 😎 ❤❤

Being without power is a bigger issue now than it was when we was young. I say this as jmo, because I was on a family farm and had 3 channels on a TV from an antenna. 😂 I do have an Autistic grandson so technology is a big part of his world since he's also nonverbal. I'm glad the power is back now so some things will get back normal. Levi is a Champ🎉
I'm glad you got your power back. I live in Illinois we had a bad storm yesterday 7/15 we have no power thank goodness for generator. There's 40,000 without power.
You're amazing, I'd say a survivor! You know how to use what you have, to make things work! Aren't you going to miss the noise of the fans and generators!! Loved Levi laughing, you do great keeping him stable, happy and taken care of! Not an easy task!!

Sweet baby boy l know it's not easy but his giggles brighten up the day. When the tornado hit Rogers Ar. my sister was out of power for 6 days. These storms are getting worse and hitting in places where they don't normally do. We had tornado warnings in Tucson with the storm Sunday night first time we remember that happening and it was a dilly of a storm. Kim, I absolutely love the relationship that you have developed with your son Levi. U2 show such strength in all of this disaster/storm stuff. You could kind of say that your glamping it a bit but without electricity! I know it’s been difficult and been quite the struggle, but you have stayed strong throughout it all and you’ve made the best of everything. I don’t know of many boys/young men on the spectrum that could be so calm, caring and loving as Levi has been through all of this. Of course I know we don’t see a full 24 hour day. What we do get to see, is a young man who loves his mom and truly is making the best of it. You’re such a good mama to him and a good teacher. I have been saying my prayers for you all and I will continue to do so. I’m praying for your electricity to come on, but I’m also praying that this year that’s the end of the storms for you. Lord knows you don’t need anymore. Take care and thank you as always for opening your home and sharing your life with us all.

Kim when this is over get you two 30 gal cans with lids, put you a hose bib in the bottom and make yourself two rain barrels! That’s the best bath water in a time like you’re in now! The screens that go in the lid, you just cut a circle out, the screens are on Amazon! After Florence when we were without power for 28 days, I made myself 2 rain barrels!

Kim and Levi, I just got back from Walmart and am listening and watching 👀 your video as I unload and put up. I giggle at Levi, liking the electricity being off, but he wanted the lights on. Hey kim, I know it is hard on you, but if I had a choice, I would most definitely pick your back porch to camp out. I love your porch.... PawPaw saying 3rd porch 🤣😂🤣but it most definitely came out the best of all bc it looks very comfortable... Yeah kim, came back on bc on our news lastnight in kc Missouri they showed electricity men heading to Texas to help all to get everyone's power up and on. Say, prayers for everyone leaving there states and home to help all of the people and our friends in Texas!! Just an 411 on my end. Heehehee of the country. ❤❤

Wow, that was so nice of that Jonas family. After the animals were fed for the day, I would've went to JL's, spent the night, did laundry and shower. You just saved me a few bucks, I had been thinking of getting one to charge phones instead of using my car when the power goes out. I plan on getting a whole house generator, are they too costly, I have natural gas so I'm hoping that will help. When we do lose power it's not for long (we live not far from a nursing home and schools). But I do have a son with Autism and wow he is not as good natured as Levi when it happens. Take care.

I've been praying for you and Levi during the power outage as well as the rest your family members who have been doing without your power. I know that all of you are looking out for each other and that's what family do. I'm very proud of the way you and Levi do things together.
Kim we would clean up the same way if not a bucket a sink bath wash cloth and scrub up we would have to show my Mom our feet, that they were clean being bare foot all day they could be green from grass stains covered in dirt. Clean feet a must for my Mom. Thanks for giving me my memory of this or I might not of remembered
My goodness! I hoped I’d come on here and find that you for power restored 😕. Sorry, Kim! Our homes are concrete so it gets really hot without a/c. I empathize with you! You’re right about counting our blessings. There is always someone who has less conveniences. Also, it helps to know “His Grace is sufficient…” 🤓☝️ Your faith in action 💖. You are an inspiration! I love your camping porch, but I couldn’t do the June bugs , I’d have to have fly screen up on the welded mesh 😂 , don’t you worry about snakes , Levi is such a good natured guy, and you’re an amazing mom, I bet it’s hard for you sometimes but you don’t show it, he’s a credit to you ❤️

Also I know y'all just killed a big old snake out in the chicken coop so nah I wouldn't be laying on the floor out on the porch lol. Oh the giggle ..I love it. I adopted 3 with autism. All three different of course, but the common trait is they are messy! I feel your pain sister, but praise God, it could be worse for sure. Pick your battles sister, mess and clutter is nothing compared to what it could be. Love ya BIG!!
One of those out of state linemen was on X yesterday saying that some linemen were robbed, held at gun point & beaten, numerous incidents & was just appalled. Just said the "Houston area". Says alot of linemen left early because of it. We need better leadership in this country. Sorry not sorry. Love you & your family Kim, y'all deserve better

So funny... I thought I was the only one who called their orange fur baby SWEET Man...lol We have a few things in common.. Im a native Texan live in Ft Worth also have an Autistic son that's 28 his birthday is 8/6/95. I'm 55 almost 56 and love watching you with Levi. People think parenting is tough try it single with a special needs kid. But I LOVE em to pieces.
