A few clips from the remaster re-edited by me in 4:3, the format intended by the creators. I selected some of the rare scenes in the remaster that were not cropped in 16:9, and didn't look too awful in terms of color.
maybe .... The first two seasons of Buffy - on DVD - are awful regarding the picture quality ! and I have Buffy's collection on DVD....! Here, I'm really amazed by the result of this video.....
Fantastic work, if not a sad reminder of what could've been, had the people involved in the remastering been truly respectful of the original series' intended visual aspect.
Lucas Vosch Pacheco de Carvalho if they coughed up the money they could of made a proper widescreen version and fix it to where there isn’t any goofs and they don’t crop it and make it look bad bc they did it for this other show that wasn’t 16:9 protected and it turned out good but it was bc they had a lot of money for it so if they had enough money for this remaster we could be enjoying a widescreen proper had remaster of Buffy they have a widescreen charmed remaster coming in HD and blu ray in October and it looks amazing so it can be done
Ever since I was 12 Buffy was the first show that gave me an escape from life. I've always wanted to meet Sarah because I think it'd be cool if I just had a conversation with her. Two decades later and I'd still like to meet her.
Yeah. I had an escape too when I was young, but as Buffy wasn't created it was a mix of shows, my largest one you probably would never pick. It was in high school that I started watching Buffy, then I graduated and started getting DVD's. I became very watched in it and was so sad when it ended. I still watch the show too. Which episodes are your favorite?
I am still baffled as to why this wonderful show has not gotten a first rate HD restoration and bluray release like X-Files got. It's extremely frustrating because while I do enjoy X-Files, I love Buffy a lot more.
Because they Fd the release and chop shopped the blu-ray and camera-man can be seen in varous action sequence thereby ruining the production. But the original version does look pretty high quality if you have a 1080MP DVD (NOT blu-Ray). So few 1080MP DVD non-blu rays were ever made sadly. I own one luckily.
Even with the DNR those prosthetics are so obvious, not that I'm bothered by that sort of thing, just curious. I mean movies have fake-looking CGI all the time and if you have any imagination you can ignore it. Ironically, grain would probably help to hide it, as well as the makeup which just stands out even more with DNR. You can tell that the quality on the later seasons would be so good without that DNR. Did I mention the DNR?
It's very nice to see characters in HD, but watching in this level of quality which was never intended is still an abomination. You don't have the same ambiance when the image is so clean.
ALL lol, but...Season 1, the nightmare. Season 2, most eps. Season 3 most eps. Season 4. Halloween ep, Hush. Season 5, the Body, few more. Season 6, once more with feeling among others. Season 7, most eps up until Showtime and the series finale. The potentials could've all died lol except Vi...she was cool. This is just off the top of my head. Wait, what was the show you liked that you think I couldn't guess?
I don't know if you know this or even Fox knows. The first, second and third season are 4:3 and I think that Fox should do a remaster with that format, but the fourth, fifth, six and seventh season are in 16:9 in iTunes, but in SD, i think Fox should do a remaster in 4:3 to the first three seasons, but the others with 16:9.
@@Emissary355 Yeah, it looks pretty cool in 4:3, but i have the seasons 4, 5, 6 and 7 in iTunes, and they are available on 16:9, but in SD, and it looks pretty cool. I think that the seasons 1, 2 and 3 should be remastered in 4:3
