It makes sense he brought it up given he had to listen to Angelus half of S2 go on about Buffy and fuck Drusilla right in front of him. S3 Lovers Walk episode Spike is drunk and mopey over Drusilla which practically begged Buffy and Angel to take potshots at his relationship. So by now Spike's motivation is revenge but when Buffy looked like a kicked puppy instead of the badass warrior she is, well that's ruining his fun. So he dropped Angel's name because he knew that's what would work at that point in time. S5 and the rest of the series, Dawn becomes Buffy's berserk button.

Diego Toledo agreed!! Season 3 was the fastest in choreography but season 4 had more movements. I noticed that season 5 was slowing down and then season 6 and 7 was just non existent.

That’s because there was drama with the stunt choreographer, stuntwoman vs Sarah Michelle Gellar. They ended up firing them both to keep SMG happy. I do agree that the stunts have went down hill ever since.

Sophia Crawford, SMG's stunt double and her bf at the time, Jeff Pruitt, who was the fight choreographer and stunt coordinator parted ways with the show after S4 because of Gellar's diva drama. It was all downhill from there.

Because they have superspeed and super strength CGI. Lol No need for it when you can just lightning speed sneak attack break someone's neck in the blink of an eye from across a football field.

Buffy stakes him in the first 15 sec of their fight. His advantage over Buffy was the gem of amorrah. Plus she was thrown mentally with Parker.

I don't think it was on purpose, tbh. She knocked him down and he was caught by surprise; he reached for it but would've been too late. Granted, he wasn't fighting as hard/defensively as he would have been without the ring, but come on. She bested him. For that matter, if he actually had the speed/skill to kill her/triumph, he could've/would've. She fell down too, giving him the same theoretical opportunity to snap back faster and take advantage of the shot, but she got there first. Buffy slays. :)

The stake to the heart? No he let that one through on purpose. If this is your first time seeing a Spike fight then a WTF would be understandable. But he loves letting his opponents get a first couple shots in, it's an intimidation tactic and with the gem of course he let Buffy stake him - no way he would let that one pass up. He does it with Buffy, does it with Angel, did it with Xi Rong, did it with Nikki Wood - it's his thing. If you have seen these fights on the show before and are trying to pull a: "Oh look! Look! See! Right there! Spike sucks! HaHa!!! What a wimp!" There is a reason Giles and Xander freak an episode later when Buffy declares she is going to go out and find Spike and "give him what he wants." They force her to carry a flare gun in case she gets in trouble. Spike haters, you're like dogs. A car that passes by and you chase it like it's the most important thing in the world.

Then Spike mentioned the man who loved Buffy most and it REALLY sets her off. You're right. Buffy was strong but her friends, family and loved ones made her unstoppable.

Rico Davis what? Vampires powers do increase with age that's why spike angel are stronger then regular vampires.. and there bloodline also the master kakistos but I think slayers strength increases quicker pretty sure Angel is not much weaker then Buffy

He also essentially defeated her in the episode where he forces a surgeon to remove his chip. Jumped on her, almost bit her but his chip activated. Had the surgeon actually removed it, she was toast.

I can't agree, some kids at school being bullied explode with so much anger you wouldn't want to be on the receiving end. One example. Two boys. Yes. I think because in season 4 freshman when that vampire 'broke' her arm. It was never in a cast just in a sling I think. (Or maybe that was willow. Can't remember.) But I think it has something to do with that. :)

I don't think so, part of being a slayer comes with rapidly fast healing. Since this happened two episodes after it was hurt badly it would've healed. She has shown to bounce back from being shot, stabbed, to having had internal bleeding in one episode. So a arm that wasn't even broken is nothing, it has to be something small like a state of mind going through a tough fight not wanting to go through that pain she felt in it a couple days ago to be honest.

Spike despite being very young, killed 2 Slayers and historically in Buffy's universe he was the second worst vampire ever. It makes sense in that context.

Nicki wood was a slayer for 7 years though, and buffy would have been killed alot of times if she didn't have help almost all tne time lol

Buffy had friends who helped her and a life she didn’t want to give up - the other slayers embraced the idea of a short brutal life with little to no ties to the world. Even Kendra and Faith embraced the concept of an early death because they were “The Slayer” Buffy refused to accept she had to give up who she was to be the slayer which gave her a stronger will to live. Spike tells Buffy that all slayers have a death wish meaning they just want it to be over and not fight for their life every night.

MadamPluto EXACTLY!! I generally sided with Buffy on any given issue. But Spike? They were "Abusive Relationship 101" Separate her from her friends? Check. Manipulate her into thinking she NEEDS him? Check. Hurt her repeatedly WHILE she promises her friends "He'll never do it again!! He's changed!!" Check . Spike was horrible but that fact that Buffy LET him be horrible even AFTER the attempted rape was a baaaaad message. I mean, BtVS had heavy themes of female empowerment. What message were they trying to send with Buffy/Spike? That you can change your man if you really, really, REALLY try??....ugh...

Unless I missed something (which is totally possible), Buffy never took him back. On the contrary I think the show has shown that she could never fully embrace Spike after what he'd done to her no matter how changed he proved himself to be afterwards. They're not together at the end of the show and the relationships anyone in the gang had were never really healthy either to begin with that's true! But that's always been adressed!
