I looked at getting a couple of small mods from Mike Lane. I was looking at the door decals and the seat backs. That’s it. 2 small things. It was going to be approximately $85 USD to get it to me in the US. No thanks! I’ll gladly do without!!

Hello Wayne I wanted the model kit of the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 for myself to build. That's very impres sive. I liked the movies. I have the stuff as well. I enjoyed this video on the build.

Goodness me, so that's me all caught up now, it's taken about a week and a half, maybe two weeks, but I've seen about 2 years of building this. I'm going to subscribe so then I'll be able to keep up with the rest as you finish this off, it's been a month or two, so maybe we're due another one soon. Hopefully my string of comments haven't been too annoying, I seem to have a lot to say about this build, a lot of it is me going on about my playmobil version and comparing that. I'm currently waiting on some replacement parts for it, I got it second hand and missing a few bits and pieces, so I'll be interested to see if my car is complete by the time the next instalment of yours comes. I've also been following your enterprise build, not sure why I left no comments on that but, like, 50 comments on this one. Anyway, bye for now, hope the finished car is as exciting as what you have at this point seems to promise. - Deborah x

Ah my favourite movie vehicle of all time. I was wondering when we'll be seeing this one. That red is gorgeous. When the Miller Meteor was designed they added fins to reflect the space race and the rockets that were becoming way of the future.

The narrow pointy bits that you call a wing is known as a tail fin in the states. What you call the rear fender we call the rear bumper.

You're going to need a forklift to get that big sucker up onto the shelf, Wayne. 😄😄

Those chrome pieces on the bottom of the ecto 1 they are rocker panels that's what they call them in the states are stamped metal sheets to support the chases from the back tire to the front tire and it keeps the car from separating the back from the front well as support the car for the jack to change the tires

Good to see the bodywork complete, I'm an issue behind because they have no stock of the replacement door. And I was holding onto previous issues waiting for that door, so not been working on this for ages now. I'm starting the Hachette Titanic so at this rate I'll be getting the first despatch for that before anymore Ecto-1 stuff!

Bloody hell, we’ve finally got another part(s) to be doing. I managed to break the fin on the other side, not totally but the silly little screw that holds the fin together popped out and stripped the thread, so I had to bodge it with a much larger screw that went through the plastic on the other side. Gah! I’ve got some wonky (and scratched) windows on that same side of the vehicle so it’s gotten to the stage where one side is the ‘hero’ angle and the other side looks like crap, lol

This car is one of the most Beautiful ever. Wonder what the weight is? Might need a heavy duty shelf.

I should have gotten the body of the car at the beginning of November. So, of course, everything was on backorder again. Meanwhile, I did add some of those Mike Lane mods- the rear seat back makes a load of difference.

I think except the iconic roof last to endbthe car, whispers and side mirrors (one or two)

Let's just hope eaglemoss do not do a extension for the afterlife movie as it would need a new body and floor. This is because of the gunners seat if they did it but there is a difference in the roof rack in Ghostbusters 2 so there could be a extension for that.💳💴💷💶💵💰💸 Loving the build as always. OK... so I'm going to need you to get 3 more of these models... make an Ecto-1A from Ghostbusters II, a rusted out Afterlife Ecto-1 and do a black/purple proto-type Ecto-1.

Will you be moving the Ecto-1 to a lower shelf that could support it weight ? Would be a shame if that shelf collapsed from it. Great Build.

Hi Wayne! I've just finished this Issue and have a question re: the steering wheel. When you installed that in Stage 114, did the hub snap on, or did you have to use dabs of glue to keep it in place? Mine does not clip into place, just sits there loose.

I bet that car ways at least 20 or 25 pounds, whatever that's equivalent to in kgs. It may be heavy but, it looks fantastic!

Hey Wayne I have a problem with the tail lights of my Ecto-1 on the passenger side, I was wondering is there a way that I can get replacement wires and a tail fin on the passenger side of my Ecto-1?

Sorry Wayne, I have to ask again... Which size is the screw driver you use here? I have the PH00 from Wera, but I always have the feeling it is a bit to small for the screws for Ecto1 and Knight Rider

Is there a mod to give it the gunner seat? Or maybe plans for an Afterlife representation?

I figured out the difference between the way Wayne builds and the way I build. Wayne relies on expertise, talent, and patience. I rely on luck.

You realise you'll have to do a second one now so you can dirty it up and weather it so it will match it as it is in the new Afterlife movie?

What issue did you receive your replacement passenger side door? Also, I wish they'd made an option for non-tinted windows. I know it's screen accurate, but I find it so distracting.
