I presumed that would be the way it was done. Using a mirror is old-school - The intro mentioned Pablo Picasso so I imagine the analog reflection was more feasible than post processing back then!
I watched several videos on YT, most of them proved to be wok of idiots. I hit your video. Crystal clear commentary, beautiful dressing, blue and black, nice hair style, smiling face, full of energy and lively. You explained everything exceptionally well and professionally. I would say the world is a good place because there are genius, intelligent and brilliant men like you in this world. Great video. I liked it. Thank you very much.
you could also just do a horizontal flip in any video editing software, so the mirror isn't required. I bought my green screen from ebay for $50 and a giant sheet of perspex (acrylic) from a plastic fabricator for $100. Thanks for sharing this video!
Wow, I went through all of the 73 videos. Although I did not take the time to comment and like each one of them I`d like to say that It was all absolutely amazing. You are such a good speaker. I was having trouble understanding the HTTP pipeline and how spring worked behind the scenes when I came to your chanel. I found all of the content absolutely interesting and helpful. I'm so glad that the programming comunity is always so helpful providing such high quality material to people. I'm looking foward to watching your security videos for android. I don't know what was you motivation to do these videos, in any case a big THANK YOU from Brasil, for taking the time and effort. Take care
Some cameras allow of reverse video, basically flipping the video live. But they are a bit pricey. ive seen someone do it. but cant recall the type of camera.
Hello! I built a lightboard with 6 by 3 starphire glass. I was wondering for plexiglass, if the thickness has to be more or less than that of glass. Thank you!
This is great! What time of markers do you use? It seems like the ones my team uses squeaks a lot, which takes away from the learning experiences of the students.
I don´t know if somebody already asked this to you. But I want to know, how long is the distance between plastic glass to the mirror and the distance between the mirror and the camera? I know this depends on each case, but I want to have an aproximate distance in the case I want to built a dedicate room for this.
Hello Jules, What type of glass are you using? Is plexiglass good because some authors feel otherwise? Would you please share your experience using plexiglass? Thanks
Cool idea. The hard part for most DIY people is getting a room that doesn't echo, and doesn't reflect light from open windows or other sources of ambient light. Audio is always the most difficult, you seem to have nicely overcome that, too.
im just thinking about the mirror which you have used for flipping the image. what is the best position to shoot without camera actually intrusively visible in the shoot. i understand you kept it not perpendicular to the mirror, but then the view says it differently.
Hello sir I'm from India and I got Canon EOS 80 d camera can you please tell me the camera settings of and what I have to set please thank you in advance 😊
Hi, thanks for the video. I have a very important question. How do you clean/ wipe out the writings on the glassboard? Our glassboard has many smudges and marks on it now. Please help.
As someone has mentioned, you don't need to video into a mirror. I use a glassboard and video the professor - then in Premiere I use the effect "horizontal flip" - I tell my colleagues not to wear clothes with words and we will be fine. After doing this for 3 years, I have only had to reshoot one because of the "words on clothes" issue. Try it out -- it is worth avoiding the work-around of using a mirror I am sure. Thanks for your post, BTW.
There are now about 25 lightboards, of varying cost and complexity, and quite a few builders have posted construction details. Check out lightboard.info for all the options, tips, and links.
Great video but I do have a question about the lack of visible imperfections in the plexiglass that you used. Used glass and even plexiglass have all kinds of imperfections. How come I do not see any here? I doubt that it is because the glass is so perfect.
I realise this is an old (excellent!) video, but if uploader or anyone knows : What is (a) the optimum distance between the glass and the mirror, and (b) the size of the mirror relative to the glass? This is an excellent solution if one wants to livestream!
For everyone who is saying you can flip the video in post, you can do that, however, the issue becomes your writing hand gets flipped as well (i.e. if you're a righty it looks like you're writing left-handed and vice-versa). I believe the mirror eliminates this issue.
Awesome video... but, if I may make a suggestion, you might want to create more of a contrast between you and the background... like by wearing a lighter colored jacket... it looks like body parts are floating around the screen...
We use 'Mungyo marker pens'. you may get on www.amazon.in/Mungyo-Board-Glass-Marker-Yellow/dp/B01L2L1HXE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1534126015&sr=8-3&keywords=glass+marker
so how much would you pay someone to build this studio? Or conversely what's it worth to you to walk into a studio that was ready for you to just teach, oh yeah just a point, probably not a good idea to use a black jacket, you blend into the back ground.
Why would you have a mirror?, its so easy to mirror even a live video feed not to mention if you are just editing it in editing software its almost just a click.
You still look like you have mastered the art of writing backwards LOL. Flipping the image horizontally in post instead of the mirror will increase video quality and shooting convenience. You could also try light yourself at a lower intensity (but still with diffuse light) in order to not interfere at all with the drawing.
Sir u are using this blackboard ? Did u ever face copyright issue . If face where did u get the permission . Plzz help me out because i also using this technollgy to teach in india . Plzz tell me if any issue i am getting in future about copyright.
