Everyone has boundaries, and in an ever more connected world, it’s virtually impossible to go a day without hearing about them. As the center of the global self-care conversation, boundaries have been described as the means of keeping the things and people you don’t want out of your life. This is a very convenient idea-being able to place boundaries on others, keeping yourself uninhibited from doing the things you desire, but sis, (and I hate to break it to you) this isn’t what boundaries are.
So what the heck are boundaries? Good thing you’re joining me because in this episode, we’re talking about self-serving vs. God serving boundaries, the perks of healthy boundaries, and growing our capacities.
Boundaries are not meant to disengage you from living your life; they’re meant to keep you within God’s plan. They’ll stretch you, but not past where you can go.
