In this video we begin build some 6 foot x 15 inch car trailer ramps. Using 2" 3/16 angle iron. Part way through my very old Harbor Freight Welder died and I decided it was time for an upgrade.
I show you the Hobart Handler 125. What's in the box, what it looks like and some basic specs. Then we finish the project with the Hobart Welder and Flux Core wire. Overall I was very satisfied with the performance of the welder and look forward to running MIG with it.
Now that the flatbed trailer has car ramps, we can load the 1945 Willy's Jeep up and get it into my shop for completion of the restoration in upcoming videos!

Nice welder. I am a beginner. I am using a HOBART at work, looks similar to yours. The machine is solid and easy to use. I am considering buying one for my own personal use. Good review, thanks a bunch.👍

I know, I'm so sorry I had to take down the video of loading and unloading the Jeep with these because I got divorced. So a lot of the content on my channel has holes in it now. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Can I get a spec/measurement list? Going to a steel place this week and they offered to cut mine to save time. How many pieces should they cut and to what length. Your video is the most in depth and specific video I’ve found for ramps on RU-vid, it has helped me tremendously you have no idea! Keep it up!

I'm sorry I didn't see this comment, I don't have a spec list of what I used at this point, that was almost 2 years ago now

You probably know now, but you'll want to upgrade the wheels and brace the wheel mount points on that HF welding cart. They're pretty weak out of the box.

Good idea! I hate buying HF stuff anyways because it's all made just strong enough to barely get by

I was thinking of building the same exact thing. How did they do with weight as far as bow and flex? Did they seem heavy enough? I'm trying to decide between using angle and channel.

They didn't flex at all with the Jeep or other small vehicles. But my diesel super duty put a permanent bow in them. They are heavy to move around though, so I'm happy with the materials I used.

C channel for heaavy duty is best

@@Hardstyler981 I have a lot of scrap cars to get moved, so I ended up going with C channel using 2" angle going across for treads. Pretty heavy, but not too heavy. I don't have any regrets as they are rock solid so far.
