English subtitles are available. This is a build of Minart "Rest On Motorcycle" in 1/35 scale that includes a diorama. This is a complete build from start to finish. Enjoy.
That turned out great. The folks at MiniArt really stepped up their efforts to the upper echelon of quality and details. Unbelievably realistic photo etch wheel spokes and front fork enhancements. They also look like the used the Verlinden sign set decals as well, they look awesome. You’ve inspired me to build one of my Italeiri 1/9 scale motorcycle kits. Stay safe Q, I-5 can be treacherous for motorcycle riding.
Every time you walk out the door there are dangers! Please don't condemn motorcycling it is amazing! Everyone makes their own decisions in life. Awesome kit as usual well done!
Hello friend, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying motorcycling is a bad thing. Hey, I still ride them, even yesterday I was riding in the countryside where the fires didn't scorch the earth, it's beautiful and there's no experience like it. I don't know you or I know if you're a motorcyclist. But I have been riding since I was in my twenties. I have seen my fair share of motorcycle accidents and some of them are gruesome. Heck, I met fellow motorcyclists who are proud of getting themselves in an accident and survived. I just seen too many accidents to know that motorcycling isn't for everyone. I often get questions asking if motorcycling is right for them and my answer is always the same: "Understand the other side of motorcycling before you get into it." I've seen too many accidents to blatantly tell everyone that motorcycling if for them. I'm not a responsible adult if I said that. Again, don't get me wrong. I love motorcycles and I'll probably ride one as long as I can into old age. I respect you point of view and I truly want to thank you for watching my videos. I don't see myself as a good model kit builder but some people do. Take care :)
@@qdc748a I too have been riding them for 37 years now and I do appreciate what your saying but I would never ask anyone to miss out on this remarkable experience. As long as your in control the bike will only go as fast as you allow. You are indeed an excellent kit builder and you inspire many aswell as myself to try and improve our hobby which at the end of the day is about enjoyment. Take care . ♡
Never been a bike fan but that's a great looking kit. I appreciate the effort you put into making your videos a little different and all the more interesting. Love the diorama!
...and the afternoon tomorrow is actually in the evening, now!! :) You are full of surprises, you.. riding a bike 'n'all.. :) Beats my old moped I had when I was younger... Going back to the build, I like the detail of the kit, MiniArt are normally quite good and this is no exemption, by the look of things.. :) That etch really brings the extra detail to stand out.. 16:35 Oh, chocolate fondant, yummy!! :) And on that note (now I am hungry for chocolate) I will have to commend you on yet another great looking model... while I pop downstairs to raid my wifes stash of sweets.. ;)
I really love this channel. I was looking for a diorama to build for my father who owns a 1942 Harley for his birthday. I think I just found some major inspiration. Thank you man.
@@johnnycheese9357 You're very welcome. I'm just an average guy just like you. I try to reply back to most post posts so long as I have the time. Take care my friend.
I like the way you try and reply and be generally nice. I build kits, and I’m considering starting a Chanel showcasing some of my models and 1/6 scale figures!
That’s funny, I used to ride a bike too. I learned to ride when I was drafted, so I actually rode an army bike as well. A Moto Guzzi was the bike of the Dutch army back then. Riding is very dangerous indeed, my cousin had his upper leg broken twice in accidents. I had some accidents as well, but never with any serious injuries fortunately. I love the diorama and your model, I’ve build the same model, I showed that to you before on Facebook. Take care!
Superb diorama. The bike looks incredibly fiddly to make with all the photo etch. I take your point about motor cycle riding. I was thinking recently of buying a small bike as I don't have a car but now having listened to you, I don't think I will. I used to own a moped but it was pretty scary and I was always nervous. It's like tanks against infantry on the roads! Keep up the great work.
Thanks. Motorcycles are fun but not for everyone. I often get questions about riding a motorcycle and my answer is always the same. Understand the risks of motorcycling first before you start this sport.
Awesome job QDC since the quarantine I found your video's, now I have done a few models mainly commercial airplanes. Thanks for getting me into this hobby, stay safe and keep up the good job.
Use a flame over the PE on these mininart bikes it takes the spring out the brass for bending and curling etc and staying in place and much nicer to work with! It can then be pressed into any shape to follow the plastic mould one the spring is heated out the brass! Maybe you will know of this tip? But it's a good tip! I have a Suzuki yzfR 1000
Very nice build! That is a super cool kit and the diorama is awesome. Please stay safe as you ride. It is a crazy world out there. Pray you are staying safe from the wildfires. Keep up the great work!
I love bikes, but couldn't see myself driving one. My coordination sucks and I know riders who have shared stories about both the good and bad of it. I also see riders being stupid more than I care to. I think it takes the right type of person to operate one and those can be few and far in between at times. Great model kit and I plan on looking into getting one or one like it in the future. Tamiya has a great looking rider kit out there.
Hi Tony, the fires are pretty serious here. Even now as I'm replying to you, there's smoke. The best way I can describe living through this is like standing next to a barbeque grill all the time, 24 hours a day. It's tough but there's little choice people in my area can do. Take care and thanks for caring about me and my family.
@@qdc748a Just take care of your family and Buster ! My sister lives in Calabasas and my friend in Petaluma and he said between the heat and the smoke is kind of unbearable. Take care, Tony
WW2 created the Outlaw Biker. After a life in combat things stateside were REALLY BORING so you saw the creation of Outlaw Motorcycle gangs. The reason Outlaw Motorcycle gangs wear a lot of Swastikas and Nazi symbols comes from the guys wearing captured war trophies like helmets and officer hats and arm bands etc. Hells Angel's was originally the name of a Bomber Squadron in the 8th Air Force in the European Theater. I've restored 5 original Harley Davidson WLA's back in the 90s. That is a VERY accurately detailed model. They also made a 45 Indian Scout Military bike along with the Harley XA which was a shaft drive for the desert campaign. Indian made the 875 shaft drive. Both were experimental and there were 1000 of each made. They made them shaft drive cuz the chains didnt hold up well in desert conditions
I knew I would have a motorcyclist watching this video! Thanks for your story. You reminded me of a casual friend I made years ago. Her husband back in the 1990's had a business of restoring old Harley Davidsons and then sell them to customers in Japan. It was popular back then for Japanese to own old Harley's. Thanks for sharing.
Very, very nice intro from you what you are building in this video! What am I saying ,you always introduce your very special buildings and I love it. It makes a difference to all other builders ! 💯👍 Greetings and best wishes!
Great video 👍. I just bought this kit, but with the MP sitting on it. I was hesitant to build it, due to the photoetch, but your video will be a big help. Keep up the good work.
Man, that was an intro as cool as it can be :) Great to see your beloved motorbike in detail and in action. I haven´t managed to get a motorbike license, mostly due to the lack of time to attend the driving school lessons. I even have access to a bike, a Kawasaki Z 1300 built in 1979. You did a gorgeous job on the MiniArt Harley. I heard a lot of bad things about the kit, but when i see how you built and and what result you got i start to think that the kit might be actually lovely! I will make a note of that :)
Interesting, I was driving home last night, when I came upon a roadway accident. There in the roadway was a motorcycle upside down on it's handle bars. Several cars stopped alongside with the motorcyclist crouched down on the shoulder, at least he was alive.
I have the same bike but special edition so it comes with 2 motorcycles and 3 figures with toolboxes. Great for diorama but i find this kit really difficult. I built a bike only once.
The kit is small and it has a lot of small parts. If you are a beginner, I do not recommend this. However, if you are a intermediate or advance modeler, yes, I highly recommend it.
The last time I rode a motorcycle, I slid it over in the gravel on a road, I pushed it home.... a couple of weeks later my uncle was killed in an awful (read unbelievably horrible death) in a motorcycle wreck... I have not been on one since then... that was 1977.... there are three kinds of bikes..... new ones, ones that have been down, and ones that are going down..... no thanks
Motorcycles are not for everyone. That's for sure! I made many friends that had accidents and still able to get over it and ride again. But there are no two ways about it-motorcycles are dangerous. You have to be very responsible to ride it and even then it's still dangerous. Thanks for watching my video. Take care.
Hi qdc, i never thought that you were a bike guy but that looks awesome .Can i ask you if you could build any modern jet fighter? an f-15 , f/a-18 or any kind of modern jet fighters.Anyways great build as always and stay safe !
Bloody awful bikes though! They started putting duel clutch in them so the US and British troops could ride them! Haha I've been on one myself and there a complete nightmare to start and once it's going it doesn't want to stop Haha! Breaks were soooooo bad! But the double clutch was stupid on on the bars and one foot kick!
