This was a working prototype, I hope you further worked on this idea as you could actually develop this in to a pretty great product. For instance I live on a river and would love to have this to easily hook on to some trees on rivers edge. Now to figure out a way to have a quick release so you can get it down just as easily.

This is actually an incredible idea in all honesty. I would just use the winches to pull myself all the way to the top so I could trim my branches. It had such seamless execution as well!

The serial number 'ZXB2218-02' at 3:30 revealed a Chinese manufacturer and a distributor on for the solenoid, a quick google shows that the solenoid is rated for 8 mpa (Slightly above 1000psi) and at varying power requirements depending on the type. Awesome video, great job Allen!

Great, reminds me of an over engineered swingset I made for my daughter with two ropes, a grappling hook, and a belay device. The of the ropes was used as a harness. She had so much fun as I tied it onto the neighbor's breezeway. 💯 great time
