Your knowledge and experience with photography is one of the reasons your videos are so marvellous . Correct colour and contrast , nothing lost in a shadow AND always in focus ! I've sent a few real estate photographers packing over the years when they haven't arrived at the arranged time to photograph houses we've been selling . One chap was excellent and did mid-day and dusk sessions . That house sold in 48 hours ; the purchaser said the photos were fantastic .

This video was nothing short of a masterpiece! I’ve spent the past week binge watching your videos and have to say your channel and quality of your videos are unmatched. I’m up against a similar problem where I’ve got to scribe a ceiling infill around traditional Victorian cornice so watching your method of templating around the cornice was pure gold and something I hope to replicate. Not used Correx before but hopefully it does the job!

A massive thank you for this video, this is exactly why I love your channel. I have almost exactly the same design of built in cupboards to make for our place. I don't fine making the cupboard a particular challenge but all those little tips and tricks about fitting, they are pure gold. I'll definitely be going with a plinth now I've seen this and the tip about screwing down though the carpet to fit levelling legs is excellent. Cheers.

@@10MinuteWorkshop I hadn't thought of screwing pads over the carpet- great idea. Do you think if the customer changed their mind one day the screws would leave the carpet asthetically ok or damaged? Just wondering if you may have come across this! Even if they did take them out, to put the bed there for example, I suppose it's far less likely the odd tiny hole would be visable compared to the whole piece being removed! Cheers for another useful video. The units look great. Matt
@olrenison
@olrenison 5 лет назад
@@mattkindon2917 it's a great tip. One thing to be careful of I've found is drilling or screwing through carpet or fabric, the drill can have a tendency to catch a thread and then pull and wrap it around and around itself making an ugly track mark down the weave. Not good.
@mattkindon2917
@mattkindon2917 5 лет назад
@@olrenison Yeah I know what you mean, thanks. I suppose the other thing is getting the right screw length so you don't risk hitting anything under the floorboards!
@10MinuteWorkshop
@10MinuteWorkshop 5 лет назад
Yes - that's the reason I like to do it this way. I find that if you drill through the ply presssed down firmly into the carpet you're less likely to snag the weave. 👍

I really like the thought process here... particularly hiding screws behind other hardware... neat trick there Pete !! Can I just say you need to learn how to say no to the constant weekend & late work... customers need to understand you have a life too !! Also , when you are tired mistakes & worse, ACCIDENTS happen... I now have 9 1/2 fingers because I was working dog-tired LATE on a sunday night (as usual)to rush a batch of turned components for a company for monday morning. My hand slipped & just like that the machine "bit" me... 😤 After that I laid down the rule... NO weekend work ever again & as little overtime as possible, and you know what ? The customers were okay with that... a couple who weren't were politely told to go elsewhere 🙄 Take care of yourself & don't burn yourself out... & maybe review your costing & profit margins... you should be able to make a decent wage without working 24/7 & customers need to know that too !!! 😎👍☘🍻

Enjoyed watching this video. I have 3 double wardrobes fitted together on the gable end wall but lately there is a slight mouldy smell in the room.. I noted that there was no ventilation incorporated into this build... Do you have any tips that would help with my problem??

Well done! Certainly seems like a high pressure job from beginning to end. No problem for a professional such as yourself though! I personally would not take on built ins. So many things that can go wrong. Thanks for a great video.

It’s so hard to get the price right. When I was in my early 20s I eagerly priced 2 oak veneer wardrobes to be fitted into the pitch of a loft conversion, I can’t remember what the materials came to but I can remember working nearly 3 weeks for £700! No wonder the customer sung my praises to any one who would listen and I had to get a job working for a builder!

These install videos are my favourite! Although I do understand the difficulties and time constraints. I bet your wife is saying "He's working on a Sunday again, he's never going to get that back bedroom finished! He knows he has to be back by 7 to take me to Bingo, grizzle grizzle" 🤣😂

Thanks Will! Back bedroom was done long ago, lol! I don’t often work weekends, just by ore-arrangement these days, lol! 😂👍

Either that or she'll end up getting a boyfriend to take her to the bingo, virtually every tradesman I have ever come across over the age of 30 has been divorced and remarried.
