Van is illegally parked on the pavement with its tailgate sticking out into the road. Van driver is to blame. Guy filming is a right Michael Cooper. Half the film is of the tarmac.
whilst illegally parked because the tailgate was open before the bus went past the bus is at fault as it collided with a stationary object, had it been a case of the tailgate was opened as the bus went past it would be 100% the van fault.
@@cornishalps9870 1. No one said that and secondly the didn’t drive into it it hit the tailgate accidentally so therefore van is at fault illegally parked
What a sad little bar steward, “well it can’t go back out now or it would be illegal and I’d have to call 999” for one, which law would it go against? For two, 999 is for emergencies, not bus spotters making silly calls!
Might want to read the law and Highway code then mate. It was a crash, therefore backing out and leaving would be classed as a Hit & Run which is illegal.
@@devon896 😂😂😂 first of all, you have 24 hours to report a crash. Second of all, the drivers spoke with each other and obviously exchanged details given he left without the taxi driver being upset. Third of all, the kids comment was very clearly nothing to do with him leaving without exchanging details, and fourth of all, don’t preach the law to people when you don’t know it…
I'd assume the bus driver would be qualified and well versed on the Highway Code and wasn't planning on leaving the scene with the van door wedged in his bus. They would probably resolve the issue themselves, especially as the van driver may have been and official of the event. I assumed the 'bus spotter' (who may not even have a license) meant the state of the bus was "illegal".
Was this taken during SpazzzzCon 2023? The muppets in Berlingo should have brought a table and a couple of chairs to complete the "dining in the middle of a busy exit corner whilst parked illegally with your tailgate ajar" set.
The person filming this video doesn't know the stress of driving a bus, and especially when there's people around that he's gotta avoid hitting aswell as other vehicles (although he hit the illegally parked van) you should respect both drivers for remaining calm during the situation, so the comments you made about the incident does make you a stupid kid, I agree with the driver on that as you really are stupid for not forward thinking about what it's like to drive a long, heavy vehicle and then ending up crashing it because of someone else
Bus driver made a mistake, van is parked like a twat. He has two empty spots right next to him an causes all the trouble just to save himself walking not even a metre
I agree with you it would be car fault not park in right spot and if the police was involved they would say car drive was at fault because back on a path not a road
@@krenarsopa8354 Yes that much is true. To be honest I'm on my last legs with this job anyway. If it wasn't such an easy life back at the yard when its quiet January season. I wouldn't bother driving a coach.
Agree - 5 minutes of filming nothing but the ground, people's legs and feet. Was the taxi (Wheelchair Accessible) meant to be parked there in the first place? If not then the taxi driver is at fault and going by his body language, he's not fully aware of the situation. A word of advice from someone who spent 2 years at college on digital media courses...if you are going to film then ensure your phone is being held in landscape position at the correct height which ensures, everything that you want in the clip to be viewed in full NOT partially shown or out of shot. Example: the whole bus and taxi in shot (about 10 to 20 secs) followed by a close-up of the RTC.
It would help if vans like that had yellow markings on the edges of the rear door that would show up brightly when the door is up. A collision like that could happen anywhere. PS, nice Bristol VR double decker in the background.
Most of the junior school kids I carry everyday would have called the Berlingo stupid and questioned why the Berlingo isn't parked properly. They wouldn't have called me or any of the other PCV drivers stupid.
The driver already was stressed and didn't need a kid adding to the problems. Also why would it be out of service for a while, just needs a new window.
The helium induced voice of the cameraman can't even handle a SATs test without freaking out let along sit several DVSA tests with an examiner breathing down your neck.
the fact u cant realise how big buses are and how concentrated you have to be to drive one in such a small space like that, and also note he has people and a dog walking just infront of the bus so he has to focus on not hitting them, nah you only shout stupid random bs at him, maybe he had that crash because of your childish actitude
lack of professional judgment by the bus driver. he should have never had taken the tight turn just simply dealt with the wrong car parked. most likely continued in service as soon as passenger were all off they send a mechanic and put a new window in
That kid needs to get a life making stupid comments and the berlingo driver is entitled to park there not i drove a bus for a few years and is a stressful job
I have had a bus driver take a sharp left and take out the front dome on overhanging scaffolding, it is easily done when you dont quite get the angles right, however I would blame the planning of the layout of the event, there was not really a clear manoevure space given the pedestrians in the area and the tight gate to the parking area location. More thought in advance by everyone would have assisted in avoiding the incident
