Perhaps rather than shutting Judges' hitting coach up, consider what he says and whether they are valid points, considering the chronic failure of the Trashman lead NY Yankees to draft and develop talent over the past 24 years. Other than Judge and Cano, over the past 24 years, where are all the major league positional stars, or great starting pitchers. Sevy looked good for a few years, but injuries and the NY Yankees staff ruined his career. Interesting that once he left the Yankees, he has pitched dominantly.
The problem with the team is that it seems like Judge and maybe 3 other guys want to win a championship. The rest are all hold-overs from the 2018-2022 Yankees that have given up and are content with just getting in the playoffs, the rest are all guys that have won somewhere else and really just dont care. We never see Boone get on anybody. Torres should of been traded last year now he is worthless. His injury is sadly the best thing that has happened to the Yankees in a very long time.
The Yankees have no bench, not a viable professional hitter coming off the bench the entire season. Now that the Yankees have a few guys on the Il, as was a virtual guarantee to happen, those minor league garbage on the Yankees are being exposed. The reality is the Yankees are very top heavy in talent and salary, and Cashman, as usually attempted to fill the remaining roster on the cheap with no knowledge of talent or athleticism, and that has come back to haunt the Yankees. The Yankees are the least athletic, slowest Roster in all of MLB, leading all MLB in hitting into double plays. Trashman believed Clay Holmes was a viable closer, NOT. Believed a bullpen filed with guys incapable of striking anyone out could be successful against any disciplined offensive teams was pure stupidity. Bringing in under-performing, over-the-hill players because he has run a system that has chronically failed to draft and develop talent, while other teams are brining up young talent weekly that succeed and help their teams immediately.
