Matt from sloppy mechanics says it all the time about just finishing your projects. Unless you're going to be competing against the top 1% in motorsports it really doesn't need to be perfect. For example him cutting off the stock front suspension lay out to go to a custom coil over setup is just going to delay the project more and the coilovers could've been done later on down the road after the truck was running and he had a huge surge of motivation under his belt to go faster.
I don't know about everybody else but I think you should just put a video up even if you don't think it's a full video we all like watching you as you say yourself you are a bit of a perfectionist
Same, for me it's most of the time a negative tho being a perfectionist... demotivates me real quick with things cuz i like to do them perfect, and i know how much time perfection costs :P
Well i know Kyle said on his channel when they were talking about it. That Kyle would help out with the editing, so that might be playing a role in it.
Love the ancient finger snapper fans in the background, brings back childhood memories of being @ the body shop and helping pop prep and paint cars, This build is awesome Wyatt, keep your head up high and keep on "Trucking"😉 along you have support from some of the best in the industry!!!!!!! Thanks for the inspiration that i can safely watch with my boy
I don't care if the video is 6 minutes or 20 minutes send it, content is content your content just so happens to be great, an we all for the most part i think thats fact! we're back watching the latest and greatest on the best diesel C10 build ever!
I'm 70 and my only welding experience prior to now had been stick. I'm now welding my 37 with a MIG. It's a learning experience. You mentioned warping from welding. My frame warped when I welded the boxing. Try as I may, i couldn't get it straight so I have cut all the boxing loose to allow bending the frame back. When I do weld it again, I will be putting some bracing in. I purchased a center section from Welderseries as I have no tube bending capabilities. That should help keep things in line, I hope.
Your paint is seriously great. I'm a carpenter, and have seen cabinets sprayed, among alot of other things, You always sand before and after first coat, so that over spray will just be a memory 😀😀. Keep up the great work, on your project, as well as the others!!
About time Kyle got stuck in to help you ! I know you work for him but the truck needs to be the next boosted boyz project !!! who care about about another Honda LOL
Some people perfection their way out of starting for fear of mistaking, others perfection their way into learning by mistaking. I do believe you are the latter and you have many other wonderous skills. Don't short change yourself. Can't wait to see your truck making some steam Wyatt....y'all keep up on that thing 🖖
HEY WYATT absolutely love the video you are super smart guy Your explanation in the quality of your work really shows No Kyle rigging here. Please do more uploads I am a fan love your work.
Down to earth... critical on one's own work. Wants to show the best possible product/video for those who are there to watch.. I respect that Wyatt.. I was looking forward to a house update next to the air compressor deal in the shed but I will take this. Love the updates!! Good stuff.
Steel-It is your friend. Paint, and weld through it later. Great stuff. Definitely would save you from any future motivation deflation lol. Love the progress, you sure knocked it out of the park with this video.
Looks good...don’t be so hard on yourself because your probably going to have to grind some of the paint off to weld stuff on to it and then touch it up as you assemble the truck so hopefully you can get that color match in a spray can just to make it easier. Really cool project.
don't know about everybody else but I think you should just put a video up even if you don't think it's a full video I love watching you as you say yourself you are a bit of a perfectionist and so am I. Greatings From The Netherlands!!!!!!!!
Taking everything into account you didn’t do too bad a job especially considering your inexperience with regards to painting tube work. I’m really pleased with the progress on the chassis though, it looks so much better than I’d anticipated so all in all good job Wyatt.
Good effort man, great to see this rust free and ready for more progress. I love extra effort you put in to get things just right, please convince Kyle to do more videos on tidying up loose ends on his cars (like a whole series of content waiting right there!) Let's say Wago, just cleaning all the interior, all the electrics, trim and everything so he can enjoy it on the street at 100% reliablity. Oh and happy birthday!
My guy.. you are a brainiac with racecars, can’t wait to see this thing ready alone side Brent’s S2000 you both are great at this stuff!! Keep it coming man
Im super happy that you are still doing your own stuff at the same time doing the BoostedBoiz stuff. You are great with Kyle but I like to see the heavier stuff you are used to. Good shit brotha
If you hose the floor down before you spray the pain it washes off really easy afterwards. Don't have it so wet that there are puddles or anything though, just wet enough so that your air hose doesn't drip when you pick it up and move it. Glad to see some progress on the machine though.
Your chassis is amazing, I believe it is your first full chassis build. You got skills brother, kudos to you, pat yourself on the back. Been following your build since day one. Keep up the good work on the J series also, that's my JAM!!! J swap Jason.
The struggle of painting cages is real. When I do mine, early a.m. / slow reducer/ knock out joints and hard to reach areas / low air / one quick coat. Then start outside first to the inside. It basically looks like I'm spaying powder coat. Hi material waste and your floor will be covered black. Shoes stuck to the floor. But perfect is perfect.
Look all your work for Kyle you're doing an awesome job for Kyle I love you videos brother you just need to make more content when you work on something you're very funny entertaining guy peace out enough being your dad
Mark my words homie. You keep doing things in the right order, not cutting corners and you'll be one of these big youtubers in no time. That kind of work ethic is almost extinct.
Yo your hard ass worker, I don't care what Kyle thinks about you, the C10 build alone is a perfection job seriously you knocked out some work in very little time, so chill your making KSR Performance look bad!
Bro you are killing it with this build. The help you bring to Kyle is insane and the videos were pumping out like crazy. I need to see you guys start to get more sponsors and start to take this to the next level.
Glad to see a VIDEO FIRST TIME WATCHING and totally forgot about you older videos it is so hard to keep up trying to watch everyone else BUT I AM SO GLAD TO SEE SOME AMERICAN MUSCLE IT YOU VIDEO COMPAIRED TO ALL OF YOUR FREINDS WITH ALL THE IMPORTS (AND OF COURSE NO PROBLEMS WITH IMPORTS MY FIRST FULL BLOWN BUILD WAS A 1989 CIVIC SI WITH A LS BLOCK AND A VYEC HEAD WAS MY BABY FOR THREE YEARS UNTIL MY EX DECIDED IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO COME OVER DURING A STORM AND SAD TO SAY HYDRO LOCKED ((DUE TO INTAKE BEHIND BUMPER AND WAS BEFORE HAD THE ABILITY TO LET THAT NOT HAPPEN AND I DO MISS HER KAWASAKI GREEN WITH SAME GREEN AND ANODIZED BLUE INTERIOR) ) IT DID RUN 11.5 IN THE QUARTER BACKNIN THE DAY ALMOST 15 YEARS AGO AND AFTER MOTOR TOOK A SHIT I WAS GOING TO PUT A SMALL BLOCK CHEVY IN HER HAD IT 50% READY AND AT LAST MINUTE NEED MONEY BAD AND HAD TO SELL SO SAD I MISS HER NEXT PROJECT WILL BE A 2000s is SUBARU FORESTER WITH A LS SWAP I HOPING NEXT YEAR AFTER ALL THE BS ENDEDS HOPEFULLY
Love the progress brother 🤘cage paint is damn near impossible to get perfect especially with such a extravaganza of tubing as you have. Looking forward to seeing this beast running down the track 💪
Paint guy here. Epoxy primer has very poor UV protection will turn chaulky grey. You should real top coat that tube work. Runs dont rust, sand what you can see and then topcoat everything.
When spraying bars you can slim your spray fan pattern to be very narrow and then turn the materials and air pressure down a little and it will work much better for you
I don’t know about everyone else but I got so excited to see an update on this thing! Saw you post a few things in strictly race diesels and it got me all worked up lol
Glad to see another video from you. Waiting to see the great detail that you are going to put into this truck. You have great work ethics and are a really good friend to people.
Commenting at the begining of the second timelapse; You're doing a fantastic job at the editing, and I really appreciate the 'Timelapse ends at' info, that's awesome you spent the extra time to add that in, even though I watched the whole thing strait through lol. And that frame and cage is lookin' solid, I can't wait to see that out there rippin' down the track! Great job man, Keep it up!
I think it's going to be pretty awesome when you're done I think it'd be cool no matter what color you choose if you keep the white two-tone like it does from the factory I think that would be pretty cool looking
Glad your back on the truck dude. I’ve been trying to figure out what the blue v8 sitting in the main shop went to. I forgot about your build. This truck is gonna be so awesome when your done, and I’m not even a diesel guy. Keep rockin on it dude.
