Thank you! I’d like to go even fatter but 335s cost some serious coin.

Thanks, hopefully the weather gets better soon so I can start doing primer and bodywork again. I like to do that outside because it makes a mess of the shop.

Curt, nice job on stitching the wheel houses wider to fit those tires. That is serious traction! Are you pulling wheelies? lol. WoW. I will have to admit as a 6' 3" tall guy, you look 6' 5"! I am approaching my mid 60's and I would highly recommend working at bench height to save you knees! At the dealer, when you set the rack to service or repair / diagnose, in a month, you drop & bounce up 600+ times per month, if not more. My son wanted me to roll pan the back. I think they make them with exhaust notches, depending on fuel tank interference. But, maybe I am just old school and like the shinny nickel stock bumpers. But, still a good look and it is yours buddy. It will be nice! Question; Do you have plans plans to seam seal the wheel house to the bedside to prevent rust over time. I know it has epoxy? I think I will have to because I have no big garage in the backyard and our 1 1/2 car garage is full. I am having to put my truck together in front of the garage. I am sure my wife won't like it. Best of luck, wish you had 1.5k viewers.

On my other cars I have 275s on the rears and it’s hard to get traction sometimes so I’m hoping with the lack of weight in the rear on the C10 315s will be able to hook up and go. You know the old phrase if your spinning your not winning. I’ll worry about seam sealer if I think that the coats of primer, sealer, base and clear won’t seal up the cracks. I’m hoping it will because it will look cleaner without seam sealer but if it looks like it needs it then it will get it. And I am 6’1”. Welding table is on the long to do list.

@@curtrobinsongarage5452 I wish I could built a shop like yours. My step dad and his father sat in our flatbed Ford, 1 ton dully while I did chores. They had a day job and took the occasion to drink beer & argue how many round bales (Grandpa) versus he was wrong and more square bales fit in the top of the barn. (Step Dad) wanted square bales. It took an hour to feed & check all live stock and water. The glass fogged to where you couldn't see them, but could hear them well. I was the oldest & did all without help. I was always tall but grew 7 inches at age 11. But it still come down to barn size. Long ways to get there, but barn, or shop size and a lift was something I never planned for. Wish I had as the price of everything is sky high. Very few Union push in the upper Midwest, but just one income makes it a one income household. My wife went to work for about 14 years and she did earn much as a cashier at a home improvement store. She picked up grand kids at 3PM, therefore kept on "Part-Time" pay. I used a 3M glazing compound on the lip of both inner wheel wells. It is cheap, black and sticky like a roofing tar almost. This was something I had when putting together for my son, when he brought it here to start a lawn service, then quickly and poorly painted, he quit. He quit his old lawn mowing job working for some guy. He was promoted to manger but given 6 months to learn Spanish as they hired 9 operators who couldn't speak English. I tell everyone about your channel, even sending by share. I do what I can to grow views, likes or thumbs up. I just lost track of some many as I go thru my paper address. You desire it. I can't believe that "Uncle Tony's Garage" can get 8k views and 4.4k likes just talking about air filters! Or "Eric the Car Guy" who could get 12k views & 5.1 likes over a rack & pinion. I don't get it. I wished I lived next door. But rebuilding an alternator or starter, just doing a voltage drop for diagnostics, hell I don't know! I am scared as 4/3/23 I start Ketamine IV's over 5 days. It is my last chance to walk & stand straight upright for more than two minutes. Never lift heavy yourself when the rack is nearby. Use the arm & straps! I guess we want fair pay for our work but how much we care. The service mgr now is just politics, income dollars per tech, even per bay or sq. ft. Don't want their job anymore. Best of luck Curt! I going to call Bosch or Midronix's as I want to update my Hewlett-Packard Tech-2 card (I have 2 factory) for my wife's 2015 Malibu. It needs a steering wheel position sensor at 41k miles. Some show it behind the steering wheel off behind the inflator module. I have GMeSI and TIS 2-web & purple dongle but only 2003. ACDelco had CD's so we could teach at colleges that may not have it. Oh well! Have a good week and stay safe Curt. Love that truck!

@@deankay4434 I’m lucky I built my shop when I did. I could not afford to build it at todays prices, and I will be paying on it for the next 7 years. Nothing is what it used to be. The entire country is coming apart. And nobody seems to care. It’s rather unfortunate the position we are in. I hope your health improves. My father went through life on the bad side of things. 3 open heart surgeries, 3 massive strokes. No kneecap, fused ankle from gunshot wound. Lost him when I was 15. I know all about poor heath and it sucks. I’ve been putting off foot surgery for 5 years myself. On your steering angle sensor. I don’t know off hand but it’s either on the bottom of the column under the dash just above the shaft joint. Or it’s part of the multifunction switch or attached just above it under the steering wheel. Unless it’s electric power steering then it’s built into the power unit in the column motor.

@@curtrobinsongarage5452 Sorry to hear about your father, that is hard man with the guts to deal with it. Prices are whacked, at a home improvement store with to built/weld a rotisserie and 2 1/2" threaded pipe 3 foot had a $38.98 sticker. It is depressing! I saw my first $160 smoke, Co, fire sensor by "Kiddie". I stepped over the 3 guys in front of it that fainted. Yes, it is a sensor and I think there is one more guy on the Cadillac side of the dealer that knows me. I have to drop $1,600 for my Ketamine IV starting next Monday, late as they close the clinic. 1st is 5hr test for bad reaction. Then dose goes up a little each night X 4. If lucky I might get enough pain relief to walk and do stuff. Curt, I got a pile of new GM parts that 6' high 7' long and 5' wide. Compressors, water pumps (LS truck and GEN1) box of injectors (80-120 ct), fuel pumps new (singles & bucket), etc. Life is all about timing. You had some time with your dad, I didn't. 14-16 months after I was born, I had a brother, so I thought. My dad knew better as bothers, no! Neighbors, yes! He left for Texas. My wife found kin near where I grew up. One short letter was answered as he never told anyone, I have twin brothers plus a sister. They don't know either. I can't use social media because I am challenged with no clue and gave up. It is like my horrible back pain, I can't get the ability to go 40ft to my mailbox and back. In 87, the Surgeon predicted the nerves trapped in lumbar muscle that is now scar tissue. In the fall of 86, a 15 minute argument with boss, who spent 4 months trying to hire away, just pulled an older Chrysler starter to rebuild...I should locked my tool box and left. Yep, life is all about timing. Insulate, high efficiency furnace and A/C, maintain windows (Note; brand is ink jet stamped in between the glass) plastic bag or page protector everything you buy in the house, place all papers including receipts in the plastic and file. I got a new double SS kitchen sink for $12 shipping because it had a lifetime warranty & back porch screen door that way. Dated, scanned & emailed to company as now the worst is SnapOn as diver knows I don't work at dealer. Too long, sorry! I will be watching Curt!

Do you have a opinions on key parts, amd and dynacorn? Who makes the best beds and fenders, What brand did you use?
@curtrobinsongarage5452

I got most of my stuff from AMD and they resale mostly triplus. Both of my bedsides were boxed the same but clearly were made to different standards. One side was as good as OEM and the other side was not very good. It seems pretty hit and miss for me since about 2021. Honestly I’d just say pick one and deal with the fallout when you get your parts and do the corrections needed. There is of course the problem with shippers recently as well. I used to never get a damaged panel. Now half of the panels I get have some shipping damage.
