Oh btw, if you want a game that's fun to complete despite your anxiety, I recommend A Short Hike. It's a very pleasant ride, there's no rushing for things or anything like that, the movement is fluid and fun, the characters are charming, and while there's many things for you to do, besides finding all feathers and filling up a fishing glossary (maybe finding all hats), you only really have the achievements to worry about, and they're all pretty nice to get. And for most of it, all you need is a keen exploration sense and some riddle solving skills. That's not to say there aren't some platforming, gliding (and boating, and beachstickballing, you'll know when you see it) challenges, including the parkour races with Avery, but I never found them too hard or grueling, just a nice side challenge that was fun to tackle.

The reason the n sane trology jumps felt off is bc the arc is slightly faster. But the remake is still much better despite that.

Also, yeah, Crash games (and in particular Crash 2) have some of the heaviest ice physics I've ever seen in a game. If you walk on ice in Crash 2, your acceleration increases drastically, while turning backwards to try and slow yourself down will take you whole seconds before you actually start slowing down. A good example, if you can visualize it in your head: If you run at full speed on ice to the right, and you end up running towards a crate, you obviously bump on its side, which stops you... But if you jump right after you stop, you somehow still carry momentum fron your run, and you automatically leap over the crate _to the other side of it,_ where there's gonna be a pit so you just *d i e.*

The talk about PSN Trophies and Xbox Achievements made me realize something. Back before stuff like that existed, a cool moment you did in a game was just that; a cool moment you could tell your friends about or that someone saw you doing in multiplayer and spread around by word-of-mouth. They were a spur-of-the-moment Crowning Moment of Awesome that lived in infamy among your friend group or the specific multiplayer culture of whatever game it happened in. Now all that is boiled down to a little 'ding' notifying you you're one step closer to an arbitrary "Completion Percentage" that serves as little more than digital bling or a bragging right.

Yeah, 2020 was... the year of all time for sure, at least for most of us. Having to get used to a whole different routine, the ever lingering fear of catching covid, the displays of ignorance from the Covid deniers and the anti vax dudes... it was wild and weird. The only positives were that I got to spend a lot more time with my family (as a college student, I only get part of the weekends and I'm lucky if my sister is also around at the same time as I), and I also got to do a lot more walking, strolling and hiking at the woods close to my house, so that was definitely quite pleasant despite it all. Not only that, I even got to dabble more into cooking and baking, which is always a plus.

Caddy is wrong about crash 2 platinums being hard btw. It's possible to get all of them besides the jetpack ones without even spinning, as i have done so.
