Same here - it has been years since I've heard a band on the radio and been like "OMGWTFBBQ". I bought the album off Napster as soon as I got home, still listening to it. They remind me of Beck when Beck was still awesome.
oh my goodness this sounds like liquid love every time I listen to true artist like Cage the Elephant i start understanding the true meaning of love ~Daphney
I know, I've had the same favorite band for almost 10 years now and I saw Cage The Elephant live and they easily became my favorite band. They just ooze perfection.
Saw this long before the second album came out, i knew one of these songs had to make it in, their music sounds awesome no matter how or where it is played.
I love this band. I am addicted to their cd, I really wish I had both of these songs as well. I've had the same favorite band for almost 25 years and they are being eclipsed by Cage the Elephant. So much talent.
THE SECOND SONG IS RUBBER BALL, RELEASED ON THEIR SECOND ALBUM IN 2011. THIS VIDEO IS FROM 2008. it just shows they've always been writing the best songs
why not just give em credit they got farther than most of us with musical dreams i give em credit i like their stuff its pretty good like i said we shouldnt be putting down a band that got farther than those still tryin to play out of their garage and local bars that means that have some talent or know the right people either way they got there and thats what matters
rollin' around like a big rubber ball, writing this song about some things that I saw. Tryin' to stand like a big strong tough man, finding out fast that i'm sinking in sand..
@luis5462 He isn't high. He has been clean since he went to rehab for some other drug a while back. So no he isn't high he is just expressing the music through body language.
Ok, so I love that second song and I too thought I could find it. I've looked all over and I can not find it either. If you find out could you let me know. I love it.
I can only describe so little of the massive power and moving strength of insanity, I must say that I respect their insanity. Only those who are extravagant and true make it to the finish line.
@funkid500 He is a poet - if you can't respect that then you do deserve to be insulted. I honestly had trouble sitting through these songs on the first time - but they have a quality that brings you back. Back Against the Wall and Aint No Rest for the Wicked are the bait though, if you want to hear them at their best, listen to their singles.
That just makes me so happen on so many levels My bastard friend went to see three nights ago, had a spare ticket but he just so happened to forget about me.
And the lyrics where he says " My bestfriend kills the pain.... only for a day "... YOU KNOW!! YOU KNOW he is on that shit! Matt I love it too man but its not worth it bro!
I think the creaters of American Horror Story used Matt as a role model for their character "Tate Langdon", played by Evan Peters. They could be brothers. There's also the skull face paint from the "In One Ear" video.
Its so funny that the bassist Tish is playing guitar in this video.. also its funny that they just released rubber ball on the new album Thank You happy birthday.. but clearly they have had it for awhile cuz of this video.
the first song is my favoritest by them :cover me agian" but i dont know what the second one is...and it is sooo not "shiver me timber" where did you come up with that
@beastieboygurl7 I think i like the second one, they got a little more creative (and a bit crazier) than the first one. The first one got a little repetitive but was still awesome. The second one offered a lot and some songs like Aberdeen and Shake me down keep me coming back.
I this their new style? Because all the unreleased stuff I've heard is like this. If this is their new style, I like it. On the other hand I would be disappinted because I like their punk style, but this stuff is awesome too:)
@CageTE17 you missed different styles of metal anyone here ever heard of Black Tide? They wer 15-16 recording their first record but they weren't pushed child celebrities their music is amazing. I don't exclusively listen to one kind of music,i just listen to whatever i consider REAL and not for the money so i can love CTE, Black Tide (Metal), Green Day(Rock), Linkin Park (Nu Metal), NIN and all other great stuff from Led Zeppelin to Nirvana.... current obsession is CTE tho on another note,
