That is the Matt I remember. I was friends with Matt and Brad since 7th grade all through high school. Matt was always a quiet and humble guy. Brad was more outgoing and more of a party animal. I never saw Matt at parties. Matt used to invite me over to play guitar with them and I never would go because I didn't know how to play their type of music. I was a country guitar player. I guess I should have went lol
I absolutely love Cage, and these interviews reinforce my desire to meet them at some point in my life. Cage is my greatest musical influence, and probably always will be.
My best friend has been living in Bowling Green for the last 24 years or so and his twin sons Clinton and Chris went to school with you guys. Really loving the maturity of the band and all the new work. Hope to see you in the DFW area soon.
@@JohnnyRebKy I love Cage the Elephant. I’ve seen them in concert so many times, I’m going to go see them again in about four months and it’s amazing every single time.
@Its.Claire. Wish I knew how to get ahold of them. As I said I was good freinds with Matt Shultz all through school. He used to want me to come over and play guitar with him and Brad but I never did lol. I was more into bluegrass and country music. But they were great guys. Just lost contact with them after they got big
Matt seems like a super guy! Wow...what a down to Earth and sincere person. Seems like so many musicians live behind at least a slight ego, but this guy is just all about the musical artistry and bringing a great experience to the fans/audience. I would love to meet them as well. The whole band seems awesome.
i just got back from their concert from their tour with beck and he is absolutely amazing live. He has such a great stage presence and he does the most exotic things haha
Tremendously kind and thoughtful about his answers. I had the chance to talk to him before if you're interested: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EdQUkzQQSC0.html
He hits the right notes near perfect to me, much more than most so that's interesting you say that. Makes me curious why maybe there is something to learn
