Notes:

What I do like about BOCW is how you can get all the DLC guns and melee weapons freakin easy by just playing Zombies and leveling them up for all their attachments. I spend all my time playing zombies

@@RM50507That's still Activision's fault. They're in charge of basically everything, they dicked Treyarch really bad and yet they made a more functional game than Vanguard, MWII, and Warzone. And they also had tons more content compared to MW (2019), more weapons, a Campagin with choices to make, and bundles that actually had some life behind them then just Shitty cash grabs (*cough* *cough* MWII). Despite the circumstances, this is worth the full price.

6:51 Cold War was the first cod game I got invested in since I never really saw cod as being fun. The early days of Cold War being released was golden. The absolute best memories I had was the fast mag on the stoner with teleport camo and the hawkmoor reticle on mall at the pines. Good memories

Has anyone else besides me noticed that the CARV-2 looks like a bullpup version of an M41A Pulse Rifle from Aliens? Think about it, the story takes place in the 80's and the Aliens movie came out in 86, coincidence? It kinda explains why it melts players in multiplayer.

Cold war was a great game in my opinion. Especially loved the zombies mode and using the ak47, bullfrog, and spas 12. I also love how they added basily 2 gallils, one the actual galil and the Argentinen version

The sounds are a huge improvement from Black Ops 4. Animations are often hit or miss, with the best being from the AMP 63, C58 HK Slap, KSP 45 45-rounder, CETME Ameli (MG82), and the Pelington inspect. Warzone often improved on some of Cold War's bad animations - Kiparis and Marshal to be exact. Weapon models are also a hit or miss, especially the LC10 and a few others. Gunsmith in this game was a missed opportunity too for custom models - with the Stoner 63 being the worst hit (lacking the option of being mag fed or being gravity-fed like a Bren). Overall a 6/10 for quality of weapons in this game. Vanguard and Modern Warfare 19 are two good examples for the franchise (even though the former is also a hit and miss).

So true, I don’t see very many people saying anything about BOCW’s lack of unique weapon gunsmith options. It’s strange how- knowing how Treyarch ALWAYS aims to be less realistic and more chaotic and cartoony- they hardly make any REALLY weird gun customization options, if at all. Unlike Vanguard.

Last year, people trashed this game's animations but the truth of the matter is that this is still way above average in the fps genre as a whole. BF 2042 showed just what mediocre animation looks like, and how smooth this game's animations look. Don't believe me? Check the BF portal gun animations and try to defend it. Cold War got a bad rep and I always saw how good the animations were, even it was a little less in quality of MW's.

going from mw2019, to this, and then to vanguard made me realize that it isnt that the cold war animations are robotic or less smooth, but that the animations in the other games are slower. technically this allows for more animation techniques to be visible, but also reloading in mw/vanguard feels really sluggish so from a gameplay standpoint i always preferred the reloads in this one

Dude no. You can make fast-paced reloads look really good. Just take a look at Titanfall/Apex animations. The reason why Cold War looks worse is because 1, It was rushed, 2, they didn't hire animators that specializes in first person/viewmodel

I think if Treyarch had more time to create Black Ops Cold War, this game would be amazing like MW2019. Even if the content is free, the content himself was very poor. This game will never be at the same level of the original Black Ops. Too bad, I was waiting for this game since the Warzone event. Also Treyarch has too much job. They're now developing the Zombies of Vanguard. That's really sad how the state of Cold War was. Who agree?

Well then tell them to stop listening to the community in terms of pushing out games so quick that they either aren’t finished or has a bunch of bugs that they add content and have 20 bug fix updates that causes more. I understand that it’s bound to happen anyways but the amount some of the recent ones had is ridiculous. Let alone all of them were used by the same engine. I think Treyarch is a great company and can provide incredible games if given the proper time and resources without Activision pressing on them. I think the one game they should revamp is Advanced Warfare or Ghosts and try to make a remaster for that on new-gen consoles to get people happy to play a COD again, then start 2 new ones from scratch with a different engine and try to make it original.

Agree bro. This game had a rough start and ended to be one of my top 5 cod’s. But treyarch seriously needs a break. Having to carry dog shit sledgehammer. After hearing that vanguard is the worst selling cod. It make seem they will release a game every other year. But who knows. Bottom line. Cod war was really fun and enjoyed most of it. Sad it’s over now

I also hate that some people are praising IW and bashing Treyarch so much and forgetting that IW had full 3 years of development and Treyarch had only like year and a half or 2 years at most. Not only that but also this game was made during a pandemic. CW had a lot of potential but now it's wasted because of Activision and Bobby i hope he gets aids.

correction on the Winchester 1897. It ain't a winchester 1897 but an Model 77E shotgun without the parts of an actual loading port and correct reloading.

Zombies was the greatest comeback to the series and really redeemed the terrible zombie modes back then, I enjoyed seeing the WAW maps being used as a Teen hangout because of the graffiti and such. I love how they did this but Vanguard fecked it up once more.
