I remember when I got COD 2 Big Red One in the Christmas of 2005. Absolutely incredible game. COD WWII looks great, too bad the historian fanatic in me is to bothered by all the over the topweapon attachments and diverse line up of skin color among the soldiers in the multiplayer. Wish I could be like others and think ''it's just a game'' but man that's impossible.
It is now on PS Store black Friday sale right now. I got it and enjoy its multiplayer alone and it's $29.99 for gold edition and the ultimate edition with everything is $49.99. So I don't know the price for regular edition,but expect it to be lower.
Can we have a Civil War Call of Duty where we have to muzzle feed our guns every time, and you have to do quick time events to successfully reload your gun otherwise you mess up and make reloading a lot longer?

Sledgehammer is now the best COD developer. I knew I wasn't crazy in really enjoying this game. Loved the campaign and now I'll about to get into multilayer. This might actually be something worth holding onto since MW3.
Regular multiplayer progression is not tied to loot boxes. However, you can get legendary (or are they called "epic"?) weapons that sport a different look while also awarding you 10% more exp per kill, but that's hardly noticable.
Really poor load times are rampant at the moment, mainly due to the awful social hub area loading every time your match finishes. They handicapped load times and smooth transitioning due to the need for loot boxes and a social hub. And the fact that the game is still using peer-to-peer servers is inexcusable.
Question: If you always hated the COD series why are you here? This review will surely not change your mind or add any more validation for your blind hatred of the series. They didnt give it an awful score so you guys think its an awful review..... Easy Allies has been a trusted review channel for years now, they're very consistent on their opinions on video games so dont you dare pull the "bad review" card. They say its a great campaign because THEY think it is, they gave it a good score because THEY think its a solid game.

Thanks for bringing up the loot boxes in the review; with the rise in loot boxes in games, I don't believe reviewers will be able to 'not' mention them their reviews and the impact they have on gameplay for better or worse...
suplextrain it's a WW2 game, the genre was played out to death by the mid-2000's. Exactly why I'll never understand why people were clamoring for more of the same This one actually looks pretty solid though. War looks pretty fun and the game seems to have a lot of new ideas
It tells a singular narrative about a squad working their way through France and Germany. While it does suck that there aren't multiple theaters of war, its focus on a particular squad creates a really intimate dynamic.
Ron's Pies I'm not saying that the game should have focused on multiple theaters of war. I'm saying that if they had to focus on only one (which they did, to tell a story about a specific squad), they should ave picked _any other theater of war._ It's called *World* War II because there were theaters all across the world. It wasn't just the big Axis powers, Western Europe, and 'Murrica; there was fighting all across Afro-Eurasia and in Oceania, and probably other places as well. But instead they focus on the few things about the war which have been covered in damn near every piece of WW2 media created in the history of mankind.
I’ve got some issues with the multiplayer, and think Black Ops 3 had a far superior multiplayer offering. But the campaign is really quite fantastic, if unoriginal. Haven’t really touched zombies.
I really like this game. First CoD I've bought on release since MW3. The Campaign is fantastic, and with the old-school First Aid Kits (I missed those) makes it so much more intense. The ONLY mode I play in Multiplayer is War Mode. Probably the best addition to CoD multiplayer in a very long time. Great review! Definitely agree with your score and views.
DoombotBL It’s not that bad. Just a little annoying. You find health packs in the wild and can stack up to 4. When you get enough kills, you can ask your squad mate Zussman to throw you a pack.
Looks like i'll be redboxing this for the campaign. Played the beta and man was I disappointed at how similar it is to the futuristic CODs. I was hoping it'd be more like COD 2 or old school WW2 shooters but it isn't.

Well this review is certainly a different perspective compared to the reviews I read on steam, if you want to buy this game for pc I recommend reading some of the reviews there before actually buying the game. It seems the people who bought the game are a lot more negative then most game reviewers so far.
i'am thinking about buying it but i'am worried about the pc player base being too small, like BO3 the player base was too small, get the feeling cod is only for console players.

Absolutely in love with this game. Not GOTY by any means, but it's a welcome diversion from the onslaught of open-world games this year. I've found myself getting the old CoD itch again, just like I once did for MW and Black Ops.
Great review as always I just kinda wish you guys focused a little bit more on the Nazi Zombies mode and maybe compared its quality to the last couple versions of zombies to see how it stacks up. I suppose it's more of an opinionated thing but zombies is likely the biggest reason I would buy this game.
It's a little disconcerting to me that the GameSpot review of this title was longer than the Easy Allies review. I'm used to the Easy A reviews being the longest and most detailed, not as long and loaded with unfunny jokes and worthless info like that useless bastard over at ACG; the Easy A reviews have always struck a perfect balance between length, entertainment and being as informative as possible. Anyway, no complaints here, just thought it's odd that for once, your review was shorter than the GameSpot review. It's an uncommon occurrence.
i knew saying "good" reviews would make someone comment this so i guess i'll explain further. When i mean good i mean to my personal tastes. I only really care about reviews from people that enjoy or dislike the things that i do which typically is the best way for me to find out whether i want to buy a game or not (or through friends/family). My relationship with the cod series isn't as black and white as it is for a lot of other people so it's hard to find reviews that have similar thoughts or feelings as me every year. I like these guys and can empathize or agree with most of their opinions so what i meant was that the review itself was good for me. I could care less how high or low the score is for a game, if i hear things that i like i'd buy a game that's a 2/10
+suplextrain The last 3 games that just tried to rip off Titanfall were the uninspired ones in my opinion (Multiplayer wise anyways. IW had a good campaign and BO3 has a great zombies offering). I'm glad the series got its identity back in the multiplayer.

Eduardo Ferreira I bash it for being historically inaccurate, despite the fact that they advertised this to be the opposite. Also the AI and difficulty in this game is a joke, you can just run past enemies and completely ignore them in certain situations. And the game interrupts gameplay to show off some pointless scenes to make you feel something. A game is suppose to connect you to the world with GAMEPLAY, not some stupid cutsecene. If I want beautiful "Cutscenes" I would watch a movie and not play a game. Basically....Gameplay>Everything else. And COD fails at being a good....GAME.
I disagree wholeheartedly, as someone who isn't even a fan of call of duty and honestly ur vague comments on this game makes me think you haven't even played it also expecting a call of duty game to be historically accurate is nonsense even back in the times of call of duty 2, call of duty is about "the america fuck yeah" also, their aren't beautiful cutscenes there a beautiful game here love it or hate it call of duty as always had amazing attention to detail when it comes to level design also this AI is ok is not a masterpiece but is surely better than something like battlefield one's AI if you can run past the enemy without getting shot then don't play on easier difficulties this game doesn't have regenerable health is usually the reason why people manage to just run through some of the call of duty games. also the game is stopping gameplay to show some pointless cutscene again unlike battlefield one ( wish has a good multiplayer but IMO an awful singleplayer) call of duty as a linear story and they make a good job a fleshing out the main characters so much so that the final mission works o well because of it, also if you have played call of duty games you would know that the cinematic moments are playable the most epic or over the top moment arent cutscenes when u derail the trains it's not a cutscene the same way the back in modern warfare the nuke scene is playable not a cutscene just because hating call of duty is cool it doesn't mean it deserves it if you don't like the call of duty games then don't play them but making up stuff to make a game look bad is just slander for absolutly no reason

Wolfenstein II(GOTY) wipes the floor with this pandering wannabe Saving Private Ryan/Band of Brothers- the video game. Infinite Warfare was the best title in this series since 2007s 4.
I liked IW's campaign, but I found the MP to be really boring - especially since it was so similar to BO3. I'm loving every inch of WWII, even if the campaign is very obviously influenced by movies and TV shows. However, it does still have a lot of awesome moments that are up there with even the best CoD set-pieces.
