PreTrib is a Fraud I am a Calvinist brother and this is absolutely not true, we do not add works to the gospel. It breaks my heart to see the division over this and how much hatred and spite ( on both sides) is spread. This is an in house discussion and none of us are going to get anywhere and actually demonstrate the love of of Christ (especially for believers) if we gnash our teeth and call every difference a heresy against the gospel. Even though I believe there are many errors with non-calvinistic views (particularly Armimianism), I do not see them as false gospels and wish we would be far more respectful in this debated issue, and spend the time to have actual dialogue about what each side actually believes (i can't tell you how many fallacious representations I've heard since I've become a Calvinist). Joseph, I concur with your observation. Calvinism is the dirty word that others use to slander, misrepresent, and attack others. There are certainly Calvinists that are arrogant and angry, but this is true on the other side as well. There was nothing edifying about this message and as you can tell by the comments, all it did was stir up Calvinist haters. I was on the other side of this argument until I started reading and studying my scriptures. Then when I began asking for direction and right understanding on Romans 9, Ephesians 1:4-5, John 6:37-44, and many other verses, I was introduced to the term Calvinism. Never knew what it meant; just wanted to know if I was reading these verses right and I was directed away from the scriptures by the demonizing word Calvinism. It's sad, because we are told to study the Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17) to understand and rightly divide it. Yet instead of someone breaking down scripture rightly, we get verses thrown around like in this message with stories and rants. How about explaining the depths of sin in Romans 3:10-18, Ephesians 2:1-3, Jeremiah 17:9, 1 Corinthians 2:14, and many others. How about the verses that explain God's sovereignty? But all I hear are rants and insults. This isn't Bible exposition. At the end of his message near the 35 minute mark, this preacher makes unclear statements about God's love and what a Calvinist may even think about God's love. Is God's love for the believer and the unbeliever the same? He says that man can understand there is a God, but Romans 1:18-23 tells us they hold the truth in unrighteousness, which means he suppresses it. In Romans 3:11, it says no sinner understands or seeks God. He rants, but he didn't explain those verses. I'm sorry, this is a gross misrepresentation of the doctrines of grace. And for everyone that has commented negatively about those that believe Calvinistic doctrines, have you gone out of your way to explain and share the gospel to these "heretics" since they're unsaved? Or do they just insult and could care less about their souls? God knows your heart.
I think you can be in error about some areas of truth without smearing Gods character. When it comes to understanding scripture there are disagreements on some things such as the end times and that doesn't necessarily attack Gods character but Calvinism directly distorts his character. This is why it disturbs me so much. Great message here!

First of all im a non-calvanist but was a former 3pt calvanist,and i believe many calvanists and non calvanists are Christians despite there differences. Now there are some hyper-calvanists that im not sure are truly saved, when saying many bad things against other Good Christians because of their beliefs. We are ALL evil and sinners next to a Holy God but that does Not mean we cant do ANY Good. WE see good things everyday with Heroic deeds. My Main reason trhat I left CALVANISM is this--WHY would scripture say GOD sent his SON not to condemm but thru Him the world could be saved. Ephesians 1,4-6: "For he [God, the Father] *chose us* in him [Christ] *before the creation of the world* to be holy and blameless in his sight. Before the creation of the world you did not decide anything, because you didn't exist. God chose you (or not) thousands of years before you began to exist. So the concept of predestination is absolutely biblical - and it doesn't matter, if you like it or not...

I believe you rushed through the points. If I never heard anything about Calvinism I would still be wondering what you are preaching against and for. You could have taken each point and built a sermon from them. Inform the congregation what Calvinist believe according to each point and reference Scripture they use to make their point. Then correct their use to the text followed by additional text that supports your view. Equip the people, don’t merely give them a sample of the topic.

Yep all these text contradict the (P) in TULIP as your perseverance of the Saints teaches that you must continue your good works until the end and not fall into sin for if you do you are not one of the ELECT.
