Tee loeu the truth is many of khmer dishes perished along side the many people of the killing firlds. It's safe to safe the majority of home cooked meals in a khmer household originate from other countries. Only a handful are truly khmer.v

big thumbs up for finally doing a Cambodian edition! but this episode was kind of watered down for me. I don't think you guys got the full Cambodian cuisine and I wish you guys had someone more knowledgeable about the dishes, the ingredients and the origins of our grub (or the very least do his research before filming)! Come to Long Beach and try some real Cambodian food! RE-DO, PLEASE!

There's two types of Cambodians. The light skin Khmer and the dark skin Khmer. My family literally is half and half. But during the summer we all dark skin Cambodians. LOL

@JizzingTiger SquirtingDragon yes I know there are intermarriages between Koreans and khmer but we also have to remember that some family names are pronounced similar to the Korean Kims as well and therefore could be spelled in English Kim but that doesn't mean they have any lineages ro Koreans. My family name for example is not derived from my father's family name but from my great grand uncle's first name. Some people just have a similar pronunciation. Some people just choose the family name. It is not exactly always Korean Lineages.

Danny Fenty I love going to Crystal Thai off of Orange and Anaheim, authentic khmer food for decent price. Beef sticks are a must, I always crave also their grilled / fried fish with tamerind sauce and mango salad. And their soups are awsome!

Ditto. There are so much more to Cambo food than this. I know a lot of non-KHMERS love Yao Hon (Cambodian hot pot), Cambo rice noodle soup, Cambo steak (sach ko tirk pahok), Cambo stuffed chicken, etc

Nan Jaratwasan u said that is thai food why all people say Cambodian food look like thai and lao food because I think that Thailand and lao country so people around the world known your country as well than Cambodia because in 1970 Cambodia have a lot of war so Cambodia just poor country but Cambodia now popular in the world than Thailand and lao now and Cambodia now still develop go up economy tourism building tower soso more 34 years Cambodia will rich than Thailand haha just kidding

NICE you guys got a good mix of kind of more normal Cambodian foods, and I'm glad! Sour soup with beef and throguon (or celery) is one of my faves! And I got my Hmong friend hooked on Cambodian style Bobo (rice porridge) xD
