I was stationed at Camp Casey from December 1983-December 1984. TDC was a memorable experience the first time with the charcoal heaters, massive amounts of of snow and the dreaded turtle ditches to catch any unsuspecting newbie’s coming back from the TDC at the midnight curfew a little too inebriated. Hard to believe that was 40 years ago.
I am Korean(21 years old) and live near Uijeongbu. And I went to school in Uijeongbu until 2022. Thank you very much for protecting Korea and Uijeongbu in the past. America will always be a friend. Thank you.🙏🙏Good luck☺️☺️
72-73 Camp Casey. I served with the 702nd HQ & A Light Maintenance Bn. I see that in 1977, the 702nd logo in white stones was still there. I went back in 1990, 702nd was no more. The hill no longer had the painted white stones to show that the hill was located in the 702nd area. In front of battalion headquarters the 702nd Unit Crest was demolished. They could have painted over the pedestal, but no, the cement pedestal was destroyed to erased any trace of THE 702nd. Seven O duce!! SAD!

Great post. March 1980/June 1981 - I was attached to the 2nd ID and worked in the Installation Transportation Office as a Military Customs Inspector and shipping service members belongings.
I served in the military as Katusa in 1995 ~ 1997 as an administrative soldier of the Order Room at Camp Casey, I served with Coptal Perry and Pvt Obrian, I missed them. .
This was made during my first tour in 76-77 at Cp Casey. Anyone who thinks being Camp Casey today in 2022 is rough,, should look at this video. It has been totally redone according to other videos I've seen.
I just got back from casey after a 9 month rotation less than 72 hours ago, in the later stages of my rotation I started to resent it because I missed my wife, but in all honesty, I miss it.
Thanks you for your service. I finished my military service as a KATUSA in camp casey during 2009~2011. And l also graduated NCO Academy(warrior leader course us 8 army)
I was there 20 years later 1997-98. The army completely transformed the base during that time and I’m glad I was there after the remodel. Thanks for the video!
2011-12 Fox Co 1/72 Armored. Wow, for a second I thought this was another camp near the DMZ. Then, I remember that hill where 1/72 dfac is at now and Soyasuan Mountain in the backdrop, just blew my mind what Casey looked like. FIRST TANK!
