Time for Turkey! If you like families with impeccable aesthetic and a true understanding of the meaning of Thanksgiving, then you'll love this full movie reaction to Addams Family Values!
That's the tragedy of Debbie, she finally found a place she would've been truly accepted and had unlimited money and she destroyed it because the Addams genuinely love each other, and she is only capable of loving herself.
She was almost perfect for the family because they would love her, the issue we see is that she doesnt love back, which is what family is all about, she has the same psychotic tendencies, macabre humor and doesnt judge people but wouldnt give love back unlike Margaret
How did you hear those lines? Well, you probably know the movie. I've never seen it. I'm gonna have to look it up and watch it now. A lot of the lines that seemed funny, I couldn't hear. Don't get me wrong, she's hilarious. I just wish she had paused sometimes.
@@luhaleyry321 I wasn't complaining. I like watching reactions to movies. Even if I haven't seen the movie. Not sure how you took my comment as me complaining. I read it back and I wasn't complaining about spoilers or anything. I was just saying I wish I could hear the lines sometimes. But it's really not that deep. And I obviously know that I can't watch the whole movie through a reaction video. Lmfaoooo
Indeed one of the best sequels ever. Cristina Ricci and Raul julia fit the molds of the characters so well, that The Addams Family can never really be remade. It's so awesome.
Being Native American and the weird "goth" girl in school, this movie was everything to me lol. Wednesday is such a mood. 🖤 Happy Thanksgiving, Alanda! 🦃🥧🍁🍂🙏
Cool! I'm an afro goth and I love The Addams Family in all the properties, I haven't seen the most recent animated movies but I plan on seeing them some time in the future. I wish to meet a man that will be my Gomez!
@@rainyfristoe7682 That's awesome! Yeah I haven't seen the newest ones yet but I probably will around Halloween time. Wishing you luck with finding your Gomez. 🖤
_"White America _*_Clockwork Orange_*_ You to death."_ A description that is sublime in its simplicity and evocative perfection. It's like you're speaking Tamarian. Perfection.
I actually just watched this a couple nights ago. I still believe the relationship between Morticia and Gomez Addams is something everyone should strive for.
I could watch that play on repeat. Wednesday's retaliation is the best. And that "give me a kiss, give me a twenty" line still makes me laugh too this day. 😂
I saw Wednesday's slow walk, then lighting the match, snaking her neck, and smiling as all the Morticia that she's going to be when she grows up coming out. That was her mother in her right there. Let us NEVER forget the Addams' Family Motto: _"Sic Gorgiamus Allos Subjectatos Nunc"_ *"We Gladly Feast on Those Who Would Subdue Us."*
Alanda Parker There was a script written for a third movie, but sadly the passing of the great Raul Julia prevented that from being produced, I'm extremely curious about what the story would have been.
As good as the first one is, this is the rare moment when the sequel is better. I love how Joan stands out from being her best and not just John Cusacks sister. Raul Julia. That man was amazing in everything he was in. The cast was on point. Ooh and Caroline Kane was Gramama in the movie. Love your reactions
Angelica is so stunning, I can't help but adore her. She also plays the head witch in The Witches and the stepmother in Ever After: A Cinderella Story, two other roles she plays fantastically.
9:06 I screamed when you said Harmony!! Youre the first reactor i've seen that recognised her in this as Harmony from Buffy 😆 truly this movie is such a good time and gets even better with age as most of us watched it when we were too young to get it 😅
Christina Ricci is perfection as Wednesday. Her speech where she "ruins the play" is classic comedy and brilliant. Love your commentary throughout was hilarious as always. Look forward to the next!!
I love this movie! One of the best sequels ever!. The whole cast is on top form, but the standouts were Cristina Ricci and Joan Cusack. This movie is fantastic!
Fun fact Nathan Lane played Gomez Addams in the Addams family the musical on Broadway. also the character of Debbie (played so perfectly by Joan Cusack)would have made the perfect addition to the Addams family if she wasn't so greedy.
This movie is truly magical. So funny, so smart, so ahead of its time. And how rare to have a movie with 3 AMAZING queens like Anjelica, Christina and Joan???
I love how even when getting shot at, Fester held onto the loaf he made. Either that or he knew not to throw away that silver platter, that's real Sterling.
RIP Gomez, your swag is timeless! And it's such a harsh realization that the Adams family had a healthier environment of inclusion and support than most of us! Maybe a little unorthodox, or cut from a different cloth, (likely black lace!-) but you can deny, if some fool messes with 1 Adams... THEY ALL are coming to your front porch! And you don't want this smoke...cause it's more like black clouds circling your house! Another standing Ovation for your hilarious video, I am in this rabbit hole!
Just when you think they can't cast more perfectly for these films, here's Joan Cusack. And that play, yeah go Wednesday BUT -- Pugsley was having the time of his life up there, he may have found his calling! 😄🦃 I think nostalgic rewatches sounds great! It's fun to watch something again and remember what we've liked about it. 9:07 I have a feeling you'd get a kick out of the character she plays in _Hatchet._ It's old school slasher (and gory!), and I really enjoyed everyone's performance in it.
This was unexpected, but most welcome. I agree with everyone that Addams Family Values is one of the best sequels ever produced. I love everything about this movie.
It’s even funnier to watch this movie now and listen to Joan Cusack do her lines when you think that she’s the voice of Jessie the cowgirl from toy story and it’s her being this evil woman the whole time
I love both these movies, but this one is my favorite lol a coworker last Halloween told me that as a kid he was scared of these movies and I went "really?! I loved them! wednesday and morticia are some of those life defining characters for me" and he just looked me dead in the face and went "...yeah that checks out" then we both started laughing hysterically LMAOOOO
I’m so happy you enjoyed this movie. This has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. There’s humor for kids and for the adults. Being a little gay boy seeing this movie, I was *obsessed* with how darkly glamorous Morticia was. I would beg my mom to buy me long black wigs during Halloween. It opened my young interest to the goth subculture. 🖤🖤 It also would eventually be a huge inspiration in my style of drag that came a little over a decade later. ❤️ Love ya, girl. I hope you and everyone have a wonderful holiday 🙏🏻
The design elements in this film are unbelievable! I loved them as a kid, but looking at them now Im honestly gagged! Perfection! And inspiring the youth to greatness: 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😍😍😍 Happy Thanksgiving, Babe!!! Be well!!
fun fact: pubert was actually a girl they disguised as a boy. they tend to do that quite often in movies when the baby is a newborn or soon after because its hard to tell in most cases Also Anjelica Huston said filming in that dress was so uncomfortable, that when filming was done, she burned the dress.
They actually use girls more because they are better behaved than boys. And yes, Angelica burnt the entire costume. But there was so much more that went to Morticia's look than the dress. She had to wear a metal corset, she had to have her eyes taped back that gave her super bad headaches and caused skin abrasion, they also shined a light into her eyes for all her scenes. She was definitely dedicated to being Morticia that's for sure
Lol such a classic. Also shout out to Christopher Hart who played Thing. Homie's performance is amazing! All of those expressions and communication portrayed through hand gestures and movements. Homie has arthritis in his hand because of this role.
At the end of the day if all Debby wanted was to be loved and accepted, they might’ve looked past her being a greedy golddigger and actually took her in
I forgot Nathan Lane was in this movie! He's the cop who booked them omg. You should totally watch The Birdcage with him in it if you've never seen it. He manages to steal scenes away from the legendary Robin Williams (rip)!
My favorite small parts in this movie are Nathan Lane as that cop who is having none of Gomez's theatrics today, or Peter Graves as the newscaster doing the report on Debbie. He was an archetypal B-movie star back in the 1950s, and then he was the host of _Biography_ for a good time in the 90s, so thus cameo was basically him mushing those two things together.
The Addams Family, Addams Family Values and Casper are the three movies that made me love Christina Ricci. While The Addams Family and Addams Family Values are what made me love the character of Wednesday Addams.
@@gabrielledarwin9375 Honestly the name "Now and Then" doesn't ring a bell for me, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for it, so I can experience more Christina Ricci
Yep. Her acting game was top tier on day one, that deadpan delivery stands at the top. And I mean look at her. (caveat, she's two years older than me ). I also adored her in Sleepy Hollow.
Yay! I *know* that it‘s gonna be a *great* day when my *favorite* RU-vid movie reactor watches one of my *all-time-favorite* films! Regardless of whether or not you’ve already seen it! Obviously, “first time watching” reactions are the *best,* and I’m chomping at the bit for your _”The Cabin In The Woods”_ and _”I Still Know What You Did Last Summer”_ reactions, but you’re just _soooo_ much damn fun that I’d watch one of your favorite movies with you *ANY* day of the week! Thanks for the awesome content, per usual, Alanda! You’re the best!! EDIT: Addams Family Values _easily_ could’ve been included in the _”Scream 2”_ film class discussion about sequels that surpassed their original counterparts! (Well, _maybe,_ as _both_ films are hilarious and wonderful fun!)
Alanda, I have been watching your videos for about a month and I look forward to feeling like I have a girl’s night weekly ❤️ You are an absolute joy and I laugh so much at your commentary.
I'm so happy that the young girl who tried to sell cookies in the first movie came back for this one. It wouldn't be Addams Family Values without her and Joan.
One of my favorite movies ever. Christina was my first girl-crush, should have known. Even now, whenever she gives that forced first ever smile, gives me shivers. But such a great cast, even to the smallest part for Cynthia Nixon.
I love, love, love your reactions. Your laughter is so genuine, and so contagious. Your attitude when reacting to the characters and/or the actors' portrayal is so wonderful. Keep it up! You're a pleasure to watch. The actress who played "Amanda Buckman" did go on to appear in the Buffy TV show, but she was also the girl scout cookie seller in the first Addams Family. From what I've heard, there is some debate whether that was simply clever re-casting, or whether they intended for it to actually be the same character. You'd think that, having met Wednesday and Pugley once before, she would remember. As Joel says: "I'll never forget you... You're too weird." If Amanda had previously tried to sell cookies to a weird little girl who asked if they're "made from real girl scouts," then later meets the same girl at camp, you'd think she'd mention, "You're that creepy girl with the lemonade stand!" But she doesn't. So, whether she was supposed to be the same girl or not, it was a fun casting call-back. I wonder how the young actresses Christina Ricci and Mercedes McNab got along, when the cameras weren't rolling.
Thank you so much 😊💛!!! It’s funny because I’ve seen the Addams Family but I barely remember that one because I didn’t revisit it as regularly as I did Addams Family Values as a kid. I think I even saw Family Values first and later watched the first one. I need to rewatch Addams Family because I did not remember that Mercedes McNab is in that one too!
@@AlandaParker Me too!! I've seen the 2nd movie and then the 1st and I rewatched the 2nd way more often because it's the one I like the most!!😃Same with"Home Alone 2"and"Home Alone".😁
Classic RIP to Raul Julia I was 11 when I saw this in theaters. Alot of ppl feel Christina Ricci should've took of the role of Mortica due a photo of her as her for Halloween. Good times watched this movie at least 100 times
GET YOU A ROMANCE LIKE GOMEZ AND MORTICIA!!!! I swear Anjelica Huston is an absolute ICON. If I was an actor I’d aspire to have the same kind of roles she gets. 🖤🖤🖤
My own personal head canon is that Amanda and her family moved and changed their names after the trauma of the summer camp, and so she is Harmony in Sunnydale :D
Alanda Parker, you're my favorite! This review was just what I needed. I remember seeing this multiple times and somehow you had me laughing harder than any time before. "You've become Mr. Debbie!" I can't. Happy Thanksgiving bae.
I recently watched this movie for the first time (I was majorly slacking on my spoopy classics growing up) and was amused and appalled to find that out of all the characters in this movie, I am most like Fester lol right down to the breadstick walrus impression at the dinner table and the inability to talk to pretty ladies
