The members of the odd Addams Family are up to more macabre antics in this sequel. This time around, Gomez Addams (Raul Julia) and his wife, Morticia (Anjelica Huston), are celebrating the arrival of a baby boy. But siblings Wednesday (Christina Ricci) and Pugsley (Jimmy Workman) are none too happy about the new addition, and try their best to eliminate the infant. When nanny Debbie Jelinsky (Joan Cusack) appears to keep the kids in line, her presence leads to an unexpected treacherous twist.

The Addams family is actually really wholesome. Gomez and Morticia really do love their children! Look at how they don’t like that there kids want to go to camp (or at least think they do) but they still agree to let them go; and when the baby was possessed Morticia still was reading that book to her baby despite the fact she hated it!

I heard you say that Fester wasn't the real brother, he actually is. After lightning from the hurricane book hit his head, Festers memories were unlocked. He had amnesia from when he was lost in the Bermuda triangle.

Funny thing, the Addamses (especially Morticia) were ready to accept Debbie if she didn't try to split up the family. They were even overlooking her psychotic nature. If Debbie admitted to being a black widow, Morticia would've probably given her a list.

Remember Wednesday said she'd scare her husband to death, if she's trying to scare Joel to death right now, probably means she still plans on marrying him at some point. Also could be a test to see what he's made of - you want to be sure of a man before you get into a serious relationship with him, even if it's just dating. And let's not forget, when Debbie was electrocuting Fester and trying to blow him up he thought it was a sign of affection from her so maybe Wednesday's doing the same here

This post basically emphasizes how the movie sent the entire franchise off the rails creating a gay cult audience (ahemtimburton🙄) that thought it was The Wednesday Show, about how to crabbily and gotthily punish those mean old Normies… Uhh, no: The point, as the first movie got right, is that the Addamses. DO consider themselves fine upstanding members of society, and can’t understand why people react so strangely whenever they show up.

4:34 - "It's not even for real, they're not even real brothers." Me - No they're real brothers, and he is the real Fester. Fester was lost at sea, lost all memories of the Addams Family, was found and adopted by the woman who said she was his mother, and thought he was her son. When he was struck by lightning at the end of the movie, that brought back all his memories of the Addams Family.

I love how the two Addams movies never got afraid of pushing envelopes with their dark humor. And it's amazing how all the jokes works, even the most simple or silly ones. I hope you can also watch Addams Family Reunion in the future, Tim. Sadly it's considered the weakest entry of the trilogy but it is still entertaining.

You must've missed the bit at the end of the last movie, in the epilogue, were it was revealed that Gordon WAS in fact the real Fester after all... his "mother" found him in a fishing net in the Bermuda Triangle and the lightning from the book jogged his memory. That's how he knew the Mamushka.

Loved the first movie and this one. Unfortunately after the release of this movie Raul Julia who played Gomez, passed away from a heart attack. They did make a sequel, but only Carel Struycken who played Lurch and Christopher Hart, tho played Thing returned. Tim Curry played Gomez in the sequel and did a pretty good job, but the chemistry of the original cast just couldn't be matched in the sequel.

I ❤️ the Addams Family! I was so happy when the 1st one did so well that they almost immediately said they were gonna make the 2nd movie. The movies make me nostalgic for the original show, but also stand completely on their own if you aren't familiar with the old show. All the actors were perfect for their roles, capturing the personality of all the family members & bringing them to life again. You can tell they took it seriously & truly brought out their inner goths!

Fun fact In the spanish dub they change the family names Father = homero Mother = morticia (literaly the same) Daughter = merlina Uncle = lucas Grandma = grandma Son = sophocles i think (Gomez name is the same as the simpson main character, which is kinda funny, cause the guy who make his voice is the same that did the homero voice in the spanish dub) Fun fact ends

He is Fester. 'Gordon' is the real Fester Addams. The 'mother' found him in the bermudian triangle with amnesia and gave him a new name - Gordon. He IS the REAL Fester Addams.
