i just bought this CamRanger 2 because the first one I had suddendly stopped working after several years. I’m so glad about this. It’s so fast. I couldn’t work anymore without it. I was surprised that in my country ( Italy) there are no sellers and I had to buy it in Belgium
When pressing Record to control Fujifilm video, does the file save as usual in the camera at full 4K 10 bit etc? Also, by tapping on screen in video mode, can you set the focus point/zone?
Is there a JPEG only xfer option? I own the original CamRanger for years and have LOVED it. My primary use is outdoor HDR shooting for backgrounds that I use in composite images with studio work. As such it serves as the programed HDR image sequence control for the camera (am moving to the Canon R5 from the 5DS) and I only need to review exposures and focus/composition in the HDR sequence, not a full RAW image. Am placing an order later this week with the upgrade promo sent today.
Yes, if you shoot RAW+JPG the CamRanger 2 will use the JPG. However, with Quick RAW there is typically not any advantage to RAW+JPG (at least with Canon).
How come you guys didn't have any type of discounts for black Friday and cyber Monday? Will there be any discounts for Christmas or End of the year sale?
Great product. I love the ipad ui over the Android ui though but so minor.. worflow has been a game changer for me. Just wish we could get flashing red on blown highlights on image review
You should create a live demonstration with high-megapixel cameras, including Mediumformat cameras. Nobody does purchase such an expensive gadget without seeing the real-life performance.
You can see transfer times, live view speed, etc. in this video and many of our other videos across each camera manufacturer. As we only support 2 medium format cameras and the number of users of those cameras is a small fraction of a percent of users, it is not as useful as examples with other more commonly used cameras. You can find hundreds of reviews from photographers using the CamRanger in real-life situations: camranger.com/product/camranger-2/. We also have a 30 day return period if it doesn't meet expectations for some reason. If you have questions about specific cameras, please email support@camranger.com
Any chance the ratings can be updated to the camera's memory card (4:31) with Nikon? Or can that feature be added in a Cam Ranger firmware update? It would be a huge time saving advantage.
Sorry, no. Unfortunately Nikon camera's don't allow us to modify the image on the camera's memory card, including the rating. You can save selects to the CamRanger SD card.
It depends on your goals. The most common sports uses are remote cameras, quick transfer to the Internet during events, and culling/selecting during breaks in the action.
You can find shipping charges as part of checkout. The customer is responsible for any duties, taxes, etc. Those will depend on your exact location and the tax laws there.
