I started playing again last year after 12 years off. I'm 50 yes old a carer for my wife and on a limited income and have a bag similar to what you guys are playing with. Playing off 2.5 now slowly upgrading my gear.... love this content when you guys show you don't need to spend thousands ... and it's nice to beat a guy with all the modern stuff 😁😁😁
Lol today our driving range was packed and I was going toe to toe with the guy next to me who had a really nice bag and a stealth driver. I was using my Wilson box set 🤣!
@@andr3wfaust Is it really though? Most things in life aren't about the tools, its how you use them. If you gave a random person a full stack of tools and any materials they need to make a chair they'd probably do a worse job than a craftsman who spent their entire life making chairs who got a saw and a hammer
Sounds crazy but I feel the same way! Garrett , Stephen and Matt playing with pans, spoons, rakes, hot dog buns, those videos are absolute genius. Silly as hell but more entertaining than 99.9% of everything else . When they do a throwback video ( funny cuz it was literally like 2 years ago 🤣), I get hyped!!
Keep up the awesome work! Really like the chemistry you guys have together and how you continuously root for each other, even in head to head competitions. Everyone needs to have a golf partner like the two of you.
i love these types of challenges. The first one was amazing, especially how you found a random fan working in the pro shop and gave him the Mizuno irons. Keep up the great content and from a lot of us thanks for getting us back into the game and making it more popular for the youth.
I am so glad I subscribed to your channel a while back. You are both inspiring talented golfers an a joy to watch, I watch every video that you post and love they way you both are so humble, kind and considerate. Keep up the good work.
Idk why but I love the flight path of those last 3 cuts G hit on the par 4. A nice cut that just lays over is the most aesthetically pleasing shot to my eye
Great to watch. Pretty cool to watch you lads take it around the course both under par with second hand clubs...but there is a fair bit of talent there as well in you guys. Thank you again
My wife and I really enjoyed both parts of this video. Super fun content! She’s new to golf and loves your content. Your videos are definitely getting her excited to improve and play which is awesome! Since she’s new we’re slowly trying to piece a bag together for her. So this video was great for her to see how well older clubs play. One problem we’re running into is it’s hard to find quality used ladies clubs where we live in California. Especially ones that don’t break the bank. Newly married couple so the bank part is definitely a factor haha. So if anyone has any quality used club suggestions for her it would be much appreciated.
My wife and I really enjoyed both parts of this video. Super fun content! I know it’s more pricey but would love to see more content like this for sure. Keep it up!
Thanks for this content! Golf on a budget is definitely important to a lot of viewers. Next challenge, I would love to see you try persimmon woods only or purchase sets of hickory irons and play a round.
Bananas! Just goes to show you how much better off we’d be spending time at the range and on lessons than on new clubs. Respect on those extra drives on 18.
A few year back I bought a set of Mizuno mp 32 iron set for $120. 4-pw still use use them and I never play any golf courses which is shorter 6700 yards. The bottom line is if you have money drop big bucks golf equipment it helps you down the road, if not just buy some budget club set it does the job.
New to golf again after a decade of not playing. I’m still absolutely terrible but this video shows that it’s not my clubs😂 saved me a crap ton of money thanks guys!
This would be a pretty cool series even if you just do it once or twice a year. Shows people that are new to the game, or looking to get started, that you don't have to spend a ton of money first starting out. New clubs are nice but just learning the game and getting a feel for it is what really matters most when starting.
Since you too are always in Florida y’all should do a collaboration with Stacked Golf and get your clubs from a flea market, thrift store, or pawn shop. Then go play a match with John and Ashley. That would be a great video plus it will help both channels!!
I used to go golfing here all the time before I moved to Colorado. It’s one of my favorite cheaper courses in KC and the view of Downtown from the 5th green is pretty awesome
The importance of encouraging people to get into golf cannot be understated and these videos are so important for that. "Sometimes, all it takes is a stroke" - Garret Clark - 2022
I’m very thankful that I’m not in a position to find this video helpful, although it was one of my favorite videos from garrett, but I love how you guys brought this side of golf to your channel. Thanks and keep it up!
The slight innuendos by you guys per usual "Grant, he likes to ram it right in the back" and "sometimes it all it takes is one stroke" were pretty great
Fun video guys! You should do one where you agree to a price...let's say $500. You buy a full set like you did and then you have to draft your clubs. Stipulation could be that both get a driver and putter but everything else would depend on what you value most for the round.
Nice shootin guys! Liked the budget deal..will you guys get ole Steven in for some GG lab work please. Bubbie is coming along great! Keep the vids coming
I watched your putting video with Clare yesterday. You might want to do the same Garrett, looking at your putting stroke at the moment. Still keen to know how the carts and bags worked with the budget 🤣
I’m a 90s golfer with a 15 year old set of Adam’s irons with the original R7 Taylor made driver. I’ve been looking at getting the new stealth irons but this has me saving my money
Well done guys…I would love to just play that good with my set of clubs that I’m not so proud of spending all the money on when u guys do something like this with some cheaper clubs lol…nice one
I’ve been on this bus since I started playing. I paid $45 for my Cobra S2 driver, $45 for my burner 3 wood, my brother gave me my Cleveland iron set, I bought used vokeys off eBay for like $80 including shipping. And I have $1 in my ping anser. It’s a rough road but it’s working
Punched greens, dirt/mud bunkers and dormant fairways. Place looked like Chernobyl. Did you see any two headed deer? Anyway the content was great as always and you both played well, loved it!
