v6 trans control select dump valve, 100 %duty cycle on tb brake. advanced table, dump valve 1 offset. -100 percent at x boost.

Didn't think of that way. Then could make that table only active on the brake if I still wanted it to turn on at that boost during the pass.

Ive been watching your stuff and ill probably be getting in touch with you for some pointers on getting my mustang to light off the turbo. its a 4.8 LS, Borg Warner S475, E85, LJMS Turbo Grind Cam, TH400etc etc.. Some solid content your putting out man, thanks!

As you have said in the past that you want to stay small cubic inches, even in the future, check this: *(Staying with the 4.8 as a base)* If my math serves me correctly, you should be able to go out and grab an off the shelf set of 6.3 Rods and ANY pistons that are meant for a common 3.622 stroke/6.125 Rod (1.300-1.306-ish CH) WITHOUT having to special order them and strap those pistons and the 6.3" rods onto your 4.8's 3.268 crankshaft and be off to the races. It's kinda creepy how easy the math is, so double check. 4.8 Crankshaft, 6.3" Rods, 1.300 CH pistons and room to deck the block up to 0.005 without having anything out of the hole. I am interested in seeing a 4.8 based 5.1L/313CID 3.905 x 3.268 in your next build.

Only problem is keeping stock crank. Stock crank won't take the abuse I'd want to put through a built motor. I considered an option that would end up at 302ci. Mostly for the trolling potential. But it would be significantly more expensive than just doing a forged 5.3 or something. Hard to justify spending a lot more money for less performance.

@@SquirrelTuned Do you think that a 4.8/5.3 iron block would stand up to your proposed level of abuse if over bored to LS1/LS6/5.7L specs or even 3.905 with a run-of-the-mill forged 3.622" crankshaft ? or would you keep the stock 5.3L bore size ?

@@joeyjojojr.shabadoo915 I would not bore one that far unless sleeved. I also wouldn't stick with an iron block. Not due to strength but due to the 100lb weight difference. I would just go slightly over stock bore. Probably 3.80.

@@SquirrelTuned Since you will end up being in the market for a 3.622 crankshaft eventually, what are your thoughts on an 8 weight vs 6 weight/no center counter weights ? Considering the value, and the RPM that you plan to run, do you think that a fully counterweighted/8 weight crankshaft such as a Callies CompStar sounds interesting ? similar price to something like a Texas Speed forged 6 weight. Do you think that being fully counterweighted would benefit you in your future build ? even though it will add a tiny bit of weight ? Thankfully the CompStar adds a cheaper option to going full-on Dragon Slayer fully counterweighted.....

Hard to say from just a spool test. But seem to be functioning properly at least. We'll see what kind of mph we can get on track that will be a better judge of how they are working. It won't be an ideal test though since so many other changes were made to the combo.

Hard to say much yet. They look nice and they seem to work building boost. No track data yet to see how efficient the combo is.

I wouldn't try it with a gt55 88 personally. But a s400 88 shouldn't be as difficult. Still important to have the right converter and all that. I'd run fid 2200s. And a circle d specialties converter. I'm a dealer for both as well as a lot of other companies.

@@SquirrelTuned ya I was looking at a s400 based 88 with a 88x96 turbine and 1.15ar housing. Freakshow is about an hour away I was going to have them do my trans and converter

Not necessarily. It may have dropped a little weight. More so for future plans. I don't have to change the kit to make big power. Just get the turbo upgraded. And a lot of classes are more strict on twin turbo than single. Or don't even allow twins.

I had some issues getting up on the chip from 1-3 psi. I noticed my timing was in the low 20s. What would you suggest? 5.3 s475 th400 transbrake.

Unless you're on pump gas, turn the timing up to around 30.

what do you think the likely hood of being able to spool twin 78/75s on a sbe 4.8? i have it apart currently and can do a dome piston if i had to. Prefer to stay sbe tho going into a 2300lb s10 and gonna see how quick the little 4.8 can go. Just dont want to waste my time either if its never gonna light the 78/75s. Thanks!

I doubt they would work personally. 7875s are pretty lazy turbos in my experience.

Nice video. I am running an 04 4.8 with twin 6765's in an FRS and shooting for 10-15 psi. Have upgraded trunions (solid), stock rods, stock pistons, gapped rings, arp main studs, cts-v hg's, stock heads, ls2 intake, tbss tb, ls3 accessories, twin 50mm wg's. Want to make 850 ish and weigh roughly 2700-2800 lbs. What do you think?

Should be able to reach that goal in my opinion. You will probably need more boost than that though. Little motors usually only make 300 or so NA. 1 bar or 14.7psi is doubling atmospheric pressure and will roughly double horsepower if the combo is fairly efficient. I made 860whp on 20psi with my old combo with s366s e85 and a2w. Also I noticed you mentioned it being rich then removed that so you may have realized yourself. But if this were on gas scale that would be very rich. But stoich is 6.4 for methanol. Where it is 14.7 for gasoline. That's why methanol requires so much more fuel than gasoline.

Forgot I have a BTR stage two turbo cam, BTR .080 wall 5/16 pushrods, chevy performance lifters (12499225), and T56 for the transmission. Would really like to switch to a 4L80e but need to widen the tunnel some. Rear gear is currently a 4.10 from the stock frs.

@@kurty85 if you are running e85 you will more than likely need more injector for that power for sure. You may be able to crank fuel pressure way up to stretch them farther. And thank you! I actually do hold the record again. I haven't posted a video on the latest record but I plan to at some point. I did make a post on my fb page about it though.

Dual. Don't go by stall speed on a converter like this. Not making stator info public currently but can get the same one for customers.

It's a forced inductions gtr88. 88mm compressor. 112mm turbine if I remember correctly. Gt55 based.
