I stopped drinking beer and wine over 2 Memorial day weekend ago. I was told I had mild cirrosis at that time. I wonder how my liver is now after a year and a half of no drinking. Improved I'm sure. I have been eating less junk, walking on a daily, getting more sunshine, reading, doing puzzles, cleaning, just staying busy , being productive

Will my “Liver Enzyme” numbers of my annual blood work indicate damage to my liver?
@eldorado5y
@eldorado5y 5 месяцев назад
Ultimately you'll need a liver scan to see if any damage done , if your ALT and AST blood work is very high I'd recommend getting a liver scan
@grit93
@grit93 Месяц назад
you can have normal numbers and have liver disease. Sometimes they'll be elevated though so it's not the best indicator

Can I check the blood report of a cirrhosis patient to detect if he is still taking alcohol? Is it possible? How to know if cirrhosis patient is still talking alcohol?

Can you not check the ammonia levels? If they’re taking lactulose (to reduce ammonia levels) then the ammonia levels should be coming down or stabilising, but I assume if they’re drinking then it won’t? Only from what I’ve seen on other videos, I’m not a doctor or have any training.

Can dry fasting heal the liver?
@grit93

fasting is great for it but drink water

@@austinrockall4607 what's the benefit to not having water? Most toxins are stored in fat cells which are rapidly broken down during a fast so I feel like being hydrated would allow you to expel them more effectively
