In a parallel universe: CURSE YOU IGON! I HEREBY VOW THAT YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY! BEHOLD: A TRUE HUMAN WARRIOR AND I, BAYLE, YOUR WORST FEARS MADE FLESH! SOLID OF SKIN YOU MIGHT BE, FOUL HUMAN...
@@Ares-so7jb Solid of spirit. "AND I WILL BURN TO ASH YOUR VILE SKIN, WITH A HAIL OF LIGHTNING! WITH EVERY LAST BREATH IN MY BODY!" I think that's the optimal way?
@@darthplagueis13 It is yeah The ai aint built for using ranged things at all, the soldiers that use crossbows and bows actually have 2 sets of ai for this reason but normal npcs and mimic seem to be missing this 2nd ranged combat ai
Its due to the fact he only has 1 arrow type equiped, you can see that the bow animation is playing but the games ai cant figure out what to do due to him having 1 arrow type only and the bows lacking a melee animation
I don't know...after a number of those stop-and-stare moments, shooting the bow up close, holding a shot for no reason, or using the Dragonclaw incant at distance, I'm thinking more than Igon's legs got messed up by Bayle.
So out of all the dragons in Elden Ring, he only loses to the Dragonlord and one of the Ancient Dragons from the base game, as well as the Dragonlord and Ancient Dragon from the DLC. A true Drake Warrior after all.
@@dragondan26 Yeah. That's a probability thing at the end of the day. He might win 5 out of 10 fights and lose the other 5 due to standing in the Deathblight at some point.
@@TheSsjJokermakes sense. I've played Skyrim before and I can tell you that his genuine anger towards dragons can only have been accumulated by being the Dragonborn.
I guess this finally explains why it seemed like Igon's contribution felt super inconsistent during my Bayle attempts. It all depends on whether his AI decides to actually shoot his bow or just stare down the dragon.
Yeah during half my bayle runs he was useless but in my last run, he came in clutch after i screwed up timing and blew through 6 of my heals within about a minute. He ended up doing almost a third of bayle's health and got the last hit in right after he divebombed igon and igon managed to dodge by the hair of his teeth. twas an awesome thing and very fitting with that final dialogue.
I was like "obiously Gideo and Igon will fight each other one day" But Gideon to come to HELP was a suprise Now Bayle shall haunt no longer Igon with Gideon's HELP
@@BjornTheBear Since when have you cared about Sir Gideon? You keep throwing him into the meat grinder While giving the soldier of Godric Omnipotent status despite the fact he's categorically weaker than Gideon.
That ending was one of the most unexpected and incredible fights I’ve seen. Gideon coming in to assist Igon and immediately screaming “I NEED HELP” while Bayle charged him was hilarious lmao
@@executioner_ecgbert884Maldron and Jester Thomas really popped off in the DLC’s. I feel like they both had a ton of personality without ever speaking a word.
Dayum the Ancient Dragons did shine in this one, but poor Lancy tho. Speaking of Ancient Dragons, you’re kinda missing 2 guys (Ancient Dragon Man & Florissax) Fortissax managed to score a W for once, wasn’t really surprised with how his battle with Senessax turned out and Placi clutched it once again. And yea, that Bonus Bayle round was just comedy gold after noticing the twist.
13:40 Unfathomably rare Fortissax W Also, probably the most fun DLC/base game crossover event yet! Most of the bosses in the DLC are way overtuned to battle anything bar Malenia or Maliketh, but Igon going up against all the dragons is just enough to be exciting :)
he is as dumb as a stone he is full of moments in which he remains perfectly still ignoring everything that is happening around him, it was quite foreseeable that by chance a cloud of deathblight would arrive on his head and he wouldn't even think about staying still inside it otherwise he would surely have defeated the dragon
Did anybody else notice that when Placidusax was doing his Lazer attack, Igon just stood there staring at him confused as hell? It looked like he was watching him make his sandwich at a Subway before immediately getting shot backwards 10 feet.
Igon's ai seemed to have trouble at several points yep, definitely had moments of "...Bow? Bow. ....Bow...? Bow--" "CURSE YOU DRAGON--" and he resets to normal.
I've noticed that the AI used for human sized NPCs aren't working all the great and this video highlights it. Numerous times in this video, Igon just stood there without moving. This has happened with many of my summons in the game too. They have an obvious target, but don't go for an attack or sometimes bring out their weapon, then just put it back away.
saw it most in this video since Igon has that great bow he could be using at a longer distance and instead at the same bow effective distance decides to use a melee dragon incant instead.. =(
@@BjornTheBear I think it's at its worst with Gideon Ofnir and Igon so far. Gideon seems to forget he can dodge and Igon seems to forget he's fighting at all. Imagine what Gideon would be capable of if he actually used his roll.
Curse you Bayle! 🐲 I hereby vow! ✝️ You will rue this day!📅 Behold, a true drake warrior!🐔 And I, Igon!🗿 Your fear made flesh!😱🔥🔥 Solid of scale you might be, foul dragon... 💎 But I will riddle with holes your rotten hide!🕳 With a hail of harpoons!🍴 With every last drop of my being!💦
I have some requests: Can the most powerful tarnished duo beat DLCs bosses. Bernhal and Vyke vs DLC bosses (make them have all scadutree blessings). Puppet summons +10 vs main game bosses and DLC bosses. Base game npcs vs DLC npcs. Can the DLC bosses survive the lvl 713 starter class gank lol (no scadutree blessings). DLC bosses vs Ranni's faction. Iji, Blaidd (strongest variation), and add Seluvis as well with some Carian spells (like the ones Preceptor Miriam has) and Moongrum (because Renalla would definitely send him to back Ranni up lol) Can the DLC survive the assassins? Alecto and all her assassims vs DLC bosses (add Baleful shadow to back them up)
In 3:36: geez that was good sync In Theodorix fight, it was at some point personnal. I mean Igon screaming with his dragon "CUUUUURSE YOUUUUUUU VILE DRAGON !!!!"
No matter how many times I died to Bayle, Igon’s lines didn’t make me want to smash my controller lmao. Probably the most fun fight so far in my playthrough.
So you know how there’s a giant dead dragon next to the grand altar of dragon communion? Would it be possible to do what you did with Greyoll and Great Jar and then have it fight the dlc bosses? It could even have some of the new attacks the doc drakes have like the lightning roar and melee combos.
My man knows no fear, just standing there motionless, tanking some of the heaviest hittinf dragon attacks in rhe entire franchise. "THERE IS LIFE IN ME YET!"
For how wonky his AI is, Igon won a large number of close bouts. Also, what an upset to go from being no-hit by Bayle, to crushing him alongside Gideon. I guess he really does need a second drake warrior to face him.
After getting more incant options, he rarely used his bow. He pulls back the arrow and cancels it with something and goes for an incantation. He is just so confused by low range spells. You can actually see that his AI does not have a close-up part.
