@@DeepanshV rather than weakest i would say is the most restricted Geo has zhongli, itto and gorou which are very strong, but also zhongli is mostly used as easy mode and itto requires the other 2 in the party to work, with them you literally dont have many options
@@chrismonge3215 geo neither has reactions which amply further damage or is f2p friendly relaying on atleast 2 5 stars. Pyro and geo has similar damage but what differs them is the extra damage through reactions
I personally think they should adjust reactions (Geo and Electro) and resonances (Electro and Hydro) before they introduce it. Fixing the base before adding a new component sounds better than just dropping it in. Plus ya'll forgetting one thing: farming for a Dendro Goblet :)
...Wait, if there ANOTHER element, doesn't that mean the chances for each element gets even lower than they already are (I think it's 4%)? FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Electro resonance should just be 20% energy recharge instead of the nonsense that's its current resonance. Hydro should be that every time you make a reaction with hydro, your cd is decreased by 0.5 seconds. (Electro is about energy, pyro is about atk, anemo is about em, geo is about def, cryo is about crit, and dendro should be hp, so hydro must be about cd.) Since ALL its character have a VERY LONG cd, and the negative effect that the hydro domain gives is extra cd. Electro reactions should be that overload doesn't knock enemies back and its icd should be decreased. (So what pyro and cryo make it with big hits with big numbers, electro makes it with a lot of small numbers in a short time.) Electrocharged should stagger enemies, just like how they stagger us. The cd should be every 5 seconds an enemy tries to attack their attack is cancelled. (So it can compete with its rival freeze) Superconduct should be just like how it's now.
@@elevated6941 I like those ideas and every day i ask myself why electro resonance wasn't ER to begin with. It's a more common stat than healing bonus, and more than half of the electro characters have some sort of energy recharge mechanic, so its kinda their thing
@@themarc7108 it's not 4% it's more like 0.3% (I saw it somewhere) and will be even lower with Dendro. Btw, it's way easier to win a 50/50 then getting the elemental goblet you want/need since its ratio is 0.5% every pull iirc
@@schopenhauer5427 from what I understand, we might be both right, since my numbers means "for each goblet, what are the chances of this goblet been an *insert element* goblet", your number is "for each artifact dropped, what are the chances of it been an *insert element* goblet" ^^
I just hope Dendro is useful, I don't even really care if it's "good". I just don't want another Electro situation where every single Electro character outside of maybe Razor would be undeniably superior if they had a different element.

And Fischl would be probably be on par with Xingqiu maybe better because of c6.
With how things are going dendro will bring things that are already in the game but with different flavor. Hoyoverse wants to bring every element of Chinese mythology and wood is the last of them. But at the same time they have to make everything from scratch since most of the element reactions in the game are chemical reactions and with dendro they're gonna have to invent new reactions
@@NodokenStar-k917 Technically, Khaenri'ah could serve as Metal. They were technologically advanced, meaning they needed to use metals and whatnot to create the ruin machines. Metal would be near impossible to implement into the game as a functioning element, thinking of it as simply Khaenri'ahs 'element' would make an enourmous amount of sense to me with their machines.
@@akikasas Now that you mention it, Albedo once told us that alchemy may have originated from Khaenri'ah. You have to remember that alchemy is the process from dirt to gold. So yeah like you said, haenri'ah could serve as Metal, by the time chapter 8 comes around after 7.
Creating reactions is easy, they could instead of focus on chemical reactions use states of plants as reactions. Here some examples\ "wither" which comes from cryo and dendro, decreasing the resistance to ALL elements, (Just like how cryo and electro decreases the resistance to physical damge) and it's also a real state that plants go throw in real-life specifically in winter. "rooted" which holds an enemy in place, similar to freeze and the reaction should make the enemies look petrified so basically it's Zhongli's burst. (Again this is also something that happens in real life, because plants put their roots in the ground holding it together) "zap" which is a reaction that does high damge similar to melt and vaporise,(Like all the other reactions this happens in real life, when a thunder bolt hits a tree and tearing its branches) this replaces the "intensifies" reaction that we got. "overgrowth" which is the same name for the reaction we got, but instead it increases the duration of the poison and its damge. "spread" (yadda yadda this happens in real life when the wind spreads the leaves etc,etc...) which like its suggest, spreads the leaves and the poison this also works with "overgrowth" similar to how swirl swirls both electro and hydro in "electrocharged".
@@NodokenStar-k917 exactly. alchemy serves as gold, while their inventions serve as casual metal. having khaenriah (Which is the last archon quest route, to say) as the last element that is 'missing' Simply makes sense.

As a sidenote, dendro is the greek word for "tree", so I think it's safe to assume this element would revolve around flora and not fauna since the name does not seem to hint at "nature in general".
This is also reflected in enemy behavior. Dendro signs are given off of wooden crates and barrels, the Mitachurl shields, etc. A neat fact is that when you Burn a plant off the Dendro Slimes head, it loses the Dendro permanently. All that changed was the plant being removed, which pretty much proves Dendro = Plant Fiber

A couple days ago I saw leaks in game. 🍃+🔥=Burning (stronger pyro dot) |🍃+⚡️=Intensified (increases dendro & electro dmg) |🍃+💧=Overgrow (creates mushrooms on the ground that explode and deal aoe dendro dmg when hydro is applied) |burning and overgrow can affect both the enemy and player | subject to change ofc. I like the idea of Dendro making the game higher risk higher reward, we've had some special cases where your own supportive ability can hinder or threaten you character on usage (just look at Barbara self freeze on E) by afflicting yourself with said elements, Dendro can be a much more deadlier version of this, imagine self-inflecting Dendro from a support char and using Bennets burst to burn yourself Dendro can also be used to check Pyros rampant run over the meta, the reason why we're so trigger happy with Pyro character is because there are only 3 Dendro enemies in the games and they're all mooks and fooders, I can imagine elite or even boss Dendros spreading the elements so often that it disincentivize the use of a pyro DPS as you'll be more likely to burn yourself
Tbh, if there was a character that could inflict Dendro to the active character and you stand on Bennett's burst, you can make some wacky builds with Vermillion Hereafter lmao
Honestly, more than Dendro I’m more excited about the new story developments. The Merchant man teased a few things and I can’t wait. Plus Sumeru it draws from my culture so I’m interested to see how they did it.
We had the same warnings about Hellzuma and turned out to be 8 months of stalling, story going nowhere and solving idiotic puzzles. remember: When you expect nothing, Hoyoverse manages to go lower. All. The. Time.
@@RejectedInch I returned to the game during Itto’s banner so I had a lot to do and experience. Considering I was still in the middle of Liyue story. So personally I enjoyed the narrative of Inazuma. Except the fact that Ei hasn’t taken responsibility for what she did to Sangonomiya and their people. I wanted to take her to Tataratsuna to show her, not take her on a date. Although I did like her realizing that humanity and change are the only thing that is eternal, changing her flawed views. Some gripes but overall good.
I hope Dendro will have a decent or even downright powerful reaction to Geo. Geo and Dendro just make sense to have interaction one way or another. It just feels like Geo will be neglected it's potential again. Last time it was buffed, it goes too overbuffed for just that certain character. The resonance of Geo was great but Geo itself isn't. Being unable to interact well with other element is just too underwhelming. The only character from Geo that works well with other is Zhongli, and not because of reaction but because of his individual overpowered/overbuffed mechanic. I just hope that Dendro gives Geo more viability outside mono Geo comp. Yes, I'm too focused on Geo because after it get its buff (technically not its but Zhongli's buff), it became neglected and still the worst element by far. And the leaks so far is just too focus on Dendro interacting with Pyro, Hydro and Electro.
I just hope that there is not a location inside of the primary region that has the requirement of the main character being Dendro to be able to proceed past that point of the game. There apparently is one in Liyue, and we literally just switched out of Geo thinking that it was not needed for anything. It was also the exact reason why Mihiyo added in markers to track your location, by layer as displayed on the mini-map as I already tested myself before I thoguht I was insane myself, since they could not find the location either after we left the area. The game is infact deeper than intially thought in certain areas of the game. I know that Mihiyo added in the area into the region when they were talking about the Geo-related element related to the statue upon obtaining it by talking to it.
all dendro got was overgrown for a damage reaction besides burn. We don't know the scaling yet tho but you spawn a seed/mushroom? that explodes dealing dendro dmg
Technically there are two or 3 geo characters that work fine with others, Zhongli, Albedo, and Noelle, but they all tend to function best as support roles
i love geo, but i agree-geo is the worst element in the game. many people say electro is the worst. no it’s not. it’s geo. electro’s reactions are actually fun and interesting and viable. geo’s one and only reaction-crystallize-is very useless. its job is to provide shield, but it sucks at its one and only job. crystallize’s function is greatly invalidated by zhongli himself and many other shielders in the game. shields don’t stack in genshin. so, there’s no point to have crystallize shields on top of the shields of other shielders. and when was the last time you heard someone say “i’m gonna use a crystallize team”? NEVER. because crystallize is rendered useless now in the game. it’s the most worthless reaction. it doesn’t have any offensive capability. and its defensive/shielding capability sucks. crystallize’s shield strength relies on elemental mastery, but it’s counter-intuitive to build EM on geo characters. you’d be sacrificing the stats that really matter for geo characters if you build EM on them just to strengthen crystallize (useless) shields. it’s really messed up being a geo character. hoyoverse really f*cked up geo. even if they “buffed” geo resonance back then, crystallize remains an undesirable reaction. all geo units that are considered great are so because of their individual kit, NOT because of their element. if you changed every geo character into a different element such as pyro, cryo or hydro, they’d be more viable. their being geo holds them back. as much as i love geo, i know enough that geo sucks. i can’t kid my self. it does really suck. i hope hoyoverse gives geo and dendro a worthy reaction other than crystallize. this is geo’s last chance at redemption.
For the next vid can you please talk about the forgotten elemental reaction shatter its really an underrated. You can use em into physical damge that can sub/add dps to claymores and geo characters I'm surprised there isn't geo characters using this to add to dps. Also might be used more in the future with dendro as it's going to do something around em so possibly an hydro or new cyro shatter claymore character?
Most Anemo characters like EM, and some of them can inflict heavy hits. We already have potential Shatter warriors, just use triple-EM. Kazuha inflicts heavy hits when plunging after his E. But more importantly, Sayu can always do it because she uses claymores.
Its not underrated its just bad lol The dmg on it has super low multipliers so even with super high EM it does low dmg for the investment And thats not talking about how it unfreezes the enemy to achieve that
There aren't any units released to utilize Shatter reactions well. Maybe Eula can make use of Shatter if you also build EM along with Atk into her kit.
@@RKNancy i believe chongyun would be the best to help characters and himself utilize shatter but for a physical shatter build eula can possibly be good we will never know
pre video cmt: - i do think Dendro have the potential to bring some kind of balance to the current element system, hopefully dendro can create a new trinity to combat against the current trinity pyro-hydro-cryo - My most copium thought for new trinity is Electro-Dendro-Geo but for this to be true, Geo reaction must need a rework so it can have a better reaction with electro or dendro need to introduce and enable 3 element reaction - While i do think Dendro have that potential but i feel it might not be enough cause slapping dendro in as a solution to another element problem (for example electro) is kinda bad imo as they did not deal with the problems directly, which mean nothing is solved and the orginal problems are still there. - I believe mhy should just rework the whole element system(reaction and resonance) cause imo try to fix something unbalance by adding something new will only create a new unbalance - There is also the problem of if mhy even want to balance the element or it already perfect to them or they being lazy as usual
The only element that would need help is Geo, not Electro. Weird as it might sound to you, Electro is considered to be about as powerful as Pyro as an element, and is not nearly as unbalanced as people would like to think. Electrocharged is simply an extremely good reaction that a whole 2 archetypes of teams use: Taser teams and Overvape teams. Remaking the whole element system is a legitimately bad idea since the roster is balanced around their own element and element interactions are the identity of Genshin. There is no need for anything so drastic. I wouldn't consider Mihoyo to be lazy either, lots lf effort goes into the game.
@@dapes- overwape and ec teams are good and all but it would be good for those reactions to have more than two characters that can benefit off of them (Raiden and sucrose). Bonus points for affecting already released characters, e.g. Keqing.
@@dapes- I respect your opinion and imo you r not wrong but not right either. Electro as an element is problematic and this is just not me(who play many electro char and electro center team) saying that but it already a general opinion by community after over 1 year of playing. I would agree with you that electro can be as powerful as pyro if we talking about potential dmg ceiling but the problem is getting there. You need to put more work into getting that same dmg as pyro with electro, which mean more effort but the same result as using pyro with less effort. This make electro feel underwhelming(definitely not weak) and that why it need to be improved. If you really don't believe how dominate the trinity pyro-hydro-cryo is compare to electro, you can go look for post on social media or discord asking for team building and recommendations. As a player since 1.0, i have seen too many post like that and as long pyro-hydro-cryo is available, it will always be the first thing, even the only thing that got recommended, electro is only recommended when there is nothing else or by someone who just enjoying playing electro more. I also agree that geo need help but only to it reaction cause geo do have a solid resonance (no pun intended) and much better than electro resonance
@@Soundwave1900 That wouldn't be right. All meta electro characters can take advantage of it. Sucrose is an amazing driver, but Anemo as a whole is very strong on electrocharged compositions due to how swirl works, and not just her.
@@jakeail1995 The element listing I showed was not one I made, but one which theorycrafters agree upon. In my opinion, pyro should be slightly higher than electro, but I also agree that both would be in a similar powerlevel. The issue with using public opinion is that the public is more often wrong than not, especially in Genshin. There are a lot of misconceptions and overrated/underrated factors surrounding the game, and the community is extremely volatile. My point is at equal levels of investment, not different. Sure you can make X "bad" character deal more damage than Y meta character with enough investment, but I am not trying to discuss anything of the sorts. Edit: spelling
i just got recommended this and im pretty amazed that he pretty much managed to predict self damage from blooms, quicken/aggravate, absorbing hydro and pyro to cause dendro damage, and the rise of electro purely by speculating about samachurls, dendro slimes and a diseased doctor
I think dendro will be a “housing” element where you use a second element and it creates 1 effect but then you use a third element and it creates an entirely different one. for instance, you could use fire to create the consistent burning effect where both elements coexist. You’d then use lightning but instead of the overload effect you get something like immolate which doesn’t cause an explosion, but an intense surge that pulls everything towards you, sort of like the reverse of overload?
1:37 The insane amount of clickbait and lies in those videos is hilarious xD. That aside I really liked your approach on every element, is a interesting way to see it, I'm going to start seeing it that way too. I also would love to see Dendro working the way you explained. Great video as always! PD: I too hope my dear Keqing is gonna be top tier again some day ❤
My biggest concern is that dendro ends up being too redundant and either invalidates hydro/Geo as the defensive support elements or ends up being weaker than both
Results: Hydro actually become stronger and Anemo + Hydro are the best elements in the game For Dendro it's really strong For Geo no one gives a shit about it, nothing changed, literally nothing...
I know you didnt talk about leaks but...lets just say you set your expectations way too high. Mihoyo, for all the inovation we celebrate them for,has a proven track record in genshin of always aiming to just barely not disappoint. Dendro seems to be no different. It will minimally interact with the meta apart from 1 overpowered unit and thats it. The reactions we know so far are really bad and i dont expect any quality changes in 2 months.
really? i feel like electro + dendro is really powerful. It does transformative reaction damage like overload but also increases electro and dendro elemental damage. It's not damage amplification in the same way as melt and vape but it's still damage amplification
@@nasak3825 oh sorry i thought they meant "1 overpowered unit" as in a CHARACTER that is really good despite the element holding them back like raiden shogun
Idk if we know the scaling of certain reactions, but dendro's current iteration is actually very interesting in freeze compositions. It basically doesnt interfere with your ability to freeze enemies and also adds aoe. For me I see dendro being an alternative to anemo in a lot of freeze teams but that is still dependent on the dendro characters themselves. Will dendro's reactions and 4 pc set be enough to compete with other anemo and their set? Its too soon to tell but I would not rule said potential out.
Given how the rumor is that it ignores like, half the elements, then... no. It's going to be really disappointing if the rumors turn out to be true. Yeah, we know Electro is going to get buffed one way or another, but how are they balancing the other elements?
They aren't. They decided to give the strongest dendro reactions to the two most powerful elements in the game (pyro and hydro) while not giving the worst element (geo) in the game a reaction with dendro at all. It's like they're actively trying to make the game even more unbalanced than before.
I think by the philosophy you presented in this video about every element, Dendro would be the element of Growth. Interactions that wield a growing number of attack, defense, energy recharge, etc. Basically, effects that last over a long amount of time.
The fun part is since dendro doesn’t have a reaction with cryo (at least right now anyway), you can apply superconduct and intensified to decrease electro, dendro, and physical res all at once
Vars is consistently really good with deduction. He's entirely right in this video about dendro, i'm surprised Sir are you secretly part of the Akademiya
This is why I like watching Vars. His videos are informative but quick, its discussions but not overestimating points. His basically you're feel good youtube creator that creates videos of infinite replayability.
Imagine a physical dendro character that could cut enemies' def and could summon little animal buddies to fight alongside them to allow insane physical dmg through many attacks rather than single crushing blows
I mean if you've seen leaks it's already almost confirmed what the general role the element is going to serve it's honestly not that game changing unless they make a character that's broken like they always do Meta Slaves are the only ones that'd probably care and whales are gonna spend regardless
Slight corrections regarding the Pokémon example you gave: 1) While Dragon was considered one of the strongest, it wasn't considered THE strongest by everyone. Steel was also considered to be extremely powerful because of how effective its defensive profile was on a game-to-game basis. 2) When Fairy was introduced, while it WAS super-effective against Dragoj and Dark, it was only normally effective against Ghost. Ghost also already had two weaknesses, being Dark and itself. (If the point you were trying to make was regarding Pokémon who were both Ghost and Dark, such as Spiritomb and Sableye, then your point still stands, but only to a degree, as both were either niche or just not good before Fairy was introduced.) Fairy being introduced was honestly quite the double-edged sword. While Dragons definitely needed more to keep them in check, the way Fairy was introduced wasn't really done too well, if we're looking at the rest of their matchups from an overall balancing perspective.
Just a reminder about player scaling vs monster scalings, electro charge do just some extra damage on monsters as you fight. It isn't bad and all but ain't super op. Now who fought a electro cicin mage in the water knows it can go downhill FAST. I would say the same thing with burning. While the damage on the character is pretty impressive, it might not be so good on monsters as vaporize. On other hand it might not have any icd which means you can keep it up 24/7 and in total damage might overtake vaporize... All in all we dunno how Dendro reactions work nor we will know till lots of testing is done. Another another thing will be how good Dendro will be with electro... It needs to provide more than a Sara C6/anemo character/Bennet to be useful. If whatever it provides isn't enought to be more useful than just buffing their damage to high heavens (since their way to balance electro was to give them high numbers). Sorry for the long rant. Dendro will be interesting ...
Many of us think pyro/cryo is broken, but it's not the element or the reaction is broken. I would say it's just like Raiden to electro, it's the unit's kit that makes the element seems broken. If we had an abundance of electro characters from early on in the games lifetime onwards that were at Raiden levels, no one would have said electro is bad as an element. For pyro, we have Bennet, Xiangling, Hu tao, Yoimiya etc all exceptional, same for cryo, we have exceptional cryo units, these units sold the pyro\cryo elements, but if these units were not in the game, and we were only left with Xinyan, Thoma, Amber etc. we would have had a different outlook of which element is broken. Leading back to the point, the characters output are what sells the element. If we are talking element itself, electro is the most broken element, since it has more utility over all the other elements, while still being able to do high damage on just it's reactions, like supercharger, overload etc. As for Dendro, I can see this element to work like electro, more of a utility element, an element that buffs, debuffs, and do consistent damage over time.
I think people are massively underrating Beidou and Fischl. Those two + Raiden are carrying Electro. Of course not to the level of Xiangling, Bennett or Hu Tao but I'd say that their value is similar to Yoimiya in certain situations
i don’t understand why people say electro is the worst element. it’s not. the worst element in the game is geo. electro’s reactions are actually fun, interesting and viable. geo’s one and only reaction-crystallize-is useless now more than ever because of the emergence of many shielders. there’s just no reason to have crystallize. it’s been rendered useless. its archaic and obsolete. i’m still hoping for a geo + dendro reaction other than crystallize. this is geo’s last chance for redemption.
They're broken though... I agree with the part that most characters with that element are broken. However... Cryo has slow debuff on enemies. Melt, Vaporize and Reverse versions has 2x/1.5x multiplier. So you don't really need to focus on building EM. That's why most meta team comps are Melt and Vaporize. If you have EM it will also do more damage. As for electro reactions they don't have multipliers and are reliant on EM to do damage. But EM on electro charge is kinda complicated. That's all I know correct me if I'm wrong on something.
I'm really hoping that they add a reaction to Geo since that is earth based and would make sense. Geo can feel so limiting sometimes because of it's lack of Reactions with the other elements and it would be nice if there could be some sense of diversity there
“Anemo augments other elements, while other elements can augment Dendro” After the update: *bloom reaction* *dendro travelers Ele Burst which can be affected by either pyro, hydro or electro*
Ah crystallize how far you've been left in the dust. Would it be wrong to want crystallize to have a damage component to the reaction? Like either a shockwave on reaction or picking up the shield, or maybe a persistent resonance effect that could apply the element of the shield when protected by a crystallized shield. Like I think crystallize was a cool idea its just sad that they barely explore the idea only to leave it struggling. The only things we got were like petra 4pc which has niche use case with all the new artifact options available, and a few character skills or constellations playing around it , yunjin being the better example of this as opposed to gorous full geo comp set ups. I originally tossed around the idea of making the reaction give elemental infusion of the element of the shield, but realized that would make it even less popular and so I thought it would be better as a character feature instead. The geo character grants the party elemental infusion of the crystallize shard the geo character reacts and or picks up. This way the concept exists but doesn't ruin the reaction for everyone. What do you guys think? What could be done to fix crystallize?
imao, very simple : every shield obtained from crystallize shreds all elemetal resistances, like zhong. Obviously not for 20% but even a 10% is good enough
@@wygha885 While I hear you and do think its a good idea, I would say there may be a small issue with at least the numbering. Superconduct, the initial reaction that reduces a resistance actually is the highest physical resistance reduction there is. So if you wanted elemental shred based on shield it would actually need to be more than 20, 10 personally wouldn't be that enticing. But even so Viridescent set exists which is also 40. I feel like it has to be something that will be a reason for people to take characters for the reaction. A omni resistance shred personally sounds either kit related (zhongli)or artifact related(vv). While it is good there are other ways to get to that result. Remember we are talking about reactions, and almost every other reaction is damage first minus like freeze but it has shatter so kinda still damage. The reactions are unique and what the games combat is based off of. Nothing else in the game allows us, freeze for solid cc, or vape/melt for big dmg as such I do think it can't be an effect that can be replicated by an artifact or characters kit. It has to be able to stand out on its own to garner interest and a reason to be used. I strongly feel there should be a damage component and some form of persistent effect.
Honestly I want to see Dendro as a all rounder and if not then I want it to at least have it’s own purpose to be an useful element instead of it just being there like how they did with Geo since it can’t react to things. (Not saying Geo is trash btw I just want this element to be not restricted like how they did to Geo and Electro.) Sadly it’s HYV they’ll most likely do that. I want Dendro to be a all rounder so it can benefit the characters that’s isn’t good to become better and on top which I do agree with you Vars, I would love to see Keqing be more better then what she is. Idc if we get more Supports/Healers in this game I truly believe each elements should have two healers at least or maybe 3 even if we already have powerful healers already in the game. I just hope that things that you mentioned Vars I hope for it to become true because it would really nice to see for GENSHIN IMPACT.
really excited for dendro as most people are too, but i am still,, worried? of how other elements will react to it. pyro undoubtedly will be the best to fighting against dendro enemies (honestly most enemies, pyro wins against them) and i've seen leaks on dendro but some of them feel wrong in some ways. lol talking about unreleased genshin things is actually really fun, this was just a bit of a ramble
I'm going to predict a dendro 5-star. Thank me later. Everything I can tell you is that his burst will grow a Tree and the Character will use this Tree as a sword. Also with a Constellation every 3rd hit with that tree will drop an apple. This apple will deal 250% Damage to the opponent.
I've theorized about Dendro myself and during the early stages of Dendro leaks, I theorized that it would have 3 key reactions: 1: A "Poison" or other DoT effect when mixed with another element. Something that functions similarly to burning but mixed with another element. Likely either an Electro reaction because of poisoning, or with Geo to act as a kind of "leech seed" effect of plant matter "burrowing" into you. 2: A healing over time effect that functions in opposition to the Poison effect. Likely either from Hydro or Geo since they're key parts of growing plants. 3: Potentially the most game-changing of the three; an elemental version of Superconduct. Being that plants are naturally and thematically more sensitive to "the elements", it would make sense that they'd be able to have an effect that lowers the elemental resistance of their targets. Likely either a reaction with Electro or Cryo, since we're not sure which one is meant to trigger a reduction in Physical defense in Superconduct. If a version of this last effect comes to exist in the game, and especially if it's a reaction with an under-utilized element like Electro, it would dramatically change the meta and basically necessitate team compositions have one Dendro and Electro character in the party. Because who wouldn't want extra elemental damage?
Seeing most character element associated stats with: Geo : Defenses (very clear that most geo char have something with def) Anemo : Em Electro : Energy I guess that Dendro could have something to do with Hp, since it the aspect of life. Maybe do poison damge or even percent damage.
I was thinking about dendro and some reactions. 1 Rooted dendro+geo makes target not moveable like frozen but it brakes after a time limit, muddy dendro+water slows the targets atk speed and movement speed, and burning dendro+pyro increases fire dmg and how long it is active.
Just want to point out that Kokomi's popularity has more to do with off-field hydro application and strong healing in a Cryo/Freeze heavy meta. Role consolidation is the single most valuable asset a character can have - being able to do two characters' jobs in a single role means you free up a character slot in the team.
There was this glimmer of hope when you said dendro could act as a sort of lightning rod for electro. I won't let my expectations exceed reality, but the thought of electro getting a buff akin to vape/melt had me out of my mind for a moment
Here's a fun idea for dendro being and amplifier for geo. Place dendro skills near a geo construct and it'll get covered in vines amplifying the dmg by adding dendro poison to field around construction
was sitting in a noisy area and turned on the automatic captions and when you said "Samachurls" the caption said "salmon trolls" and I absolutely lost it
I'm currently designing myself as a character in Genshin Impact and decided to be dendro because it has my favorite ideal of knowledge (close seconds are freedom and justice/anemo and hydro). My whole theme is mushrooms because it's my favorite food, so for either my skill or burst I decided to have a taunt that's shaped like a mushroom and has a cloud of dendro "poison" around it that applies dendro and does a bit of damage (kinda like Jean's burst I think except instead of healing it's a taunt). I chose this cause it's kinda similar to the dendro slimes or samachurl attacks. Anyway, I can't wait to see what dendro is like so I can more easily and accurately design my character.
Honestly, having a Dendro character be a beast tamer or knowledgeable about herbs and plants wouldn't be too far off. The Dendro archon is the god of wisdom, so I would assume the way you would even qualify to receive a Dendro vision is through gaining a massive amount of knowledge or having the extreme want to constantly learn. Lisa is an exception. Not everyone follows the mold that they were given.
You know that Ei revealed that the Archons don't give out visions right? Sara may talk as long as she wants about being grateful for her vision to the raiden shogun, but it still won't change the fact that raiden shogun herself said she never gave out visions... ever.
i haven't seen a lot of leaks but everyone keeps saying theyre disappointed or to not get our hopes up so as much as everything in this video is interesting, im not gonna expect too much :")
Omg i am so excited for this one i am looking forword for the editing and music choice and the topic seems very interesting to me cus i am Curious About what dendro could bring with it so thanks for your great work 👍👍😅😅ps. Could you make a why no one plays sayu cus i Dont know if she has flaws in her kit or the small group if anemo checters are all top tire so even if leveled the playing field and only compered her to 4 Stars she has sucrose to compeat with one of the best 4stars in the intair game (sorry in advance for my bad English) 🙏🙏
I think it would be cool if electro and dendro reacted to create combination of pyro and supercunduct. You get a pyro proc that can then be turned into overcharge with a follow up electro attack, and it arcs electro to nearby enemies.
Yes, the idea of element that will be real powerfull but would work as double edge sword is perfect for the game. It would encourage to use characters that can heal, debuff enemy power, or buff party defence, so you can negate some drawbacks from being more powerful. Like for example reaction that is a debuff for 30% DEF, but it also applies to your character, or something like burn, you can burn your enemies but you also will be burning so you better have healer, or shielder in party, or if it's something that players was talking a lot, like "rooting" that would hold in place enemies but it will also be holding in place your character, this one will be so good for ranged users, yes you can't dodge any ranged attacks, but any melee enemies will just stand still away from you.
Earlier I thought of what dendro Dendro skills would focus on and my first thought beside poison/burning, was being able to root enemies, (not necessarily an element reaction) Where enemies can still attack you but they can't move cuz they're rooted in place. Maybe good for enemies you can't freeze or when anemo can't CC enemies consistently due to their weight (and keeping pesky rift hounds in place when not using freeze teams D:< )
