Great video. Really helpful. I’m new to drones and was looking to purchase one but mainly to take pictures and footage of my daughter who is 9 months. But finding it overwhelming with all the drone choices and laws. Would be great if you can do a video of your opinion on my requirements of maybe a drone is not the best idea for my requirements. Any advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey my missus is front line NHS too!. People don’t get the fact that it’s not about catching coved-19 it’s all the other stuff that you don’t think about that the NHS does if you trip, or crash the car, or have an ingrowing toenail, or fall out of a tree!

This is my first comment thought. #mail ;] How do you recommend to improve our "god skills' during the quarantine? Read more? Edit more? Simulator practice? Small indoor drone? Watch more tutorials? Build online connections?

So God to see you back!! Having already been off work for almost 3 weeks already and with my company not likely to have any work till at least the 30 April!!!! I am loving have time st home with my 4 year old son!!! (the wife luckily still has work!). I have even had a few flights from the roof of my house!!!

Am i right in saying for Take Off and Landing the distance is reduced to 30 meters, this never gets mentioned? If this is the case then can I take off in my back garden which is in an average Suburban street of Semi Detached houses and ascend to 50+ meters. We all have gardens of 30-50 meters long. Is a street like mine classed as a built up area as the drone code shows a built up area as a Town/High street with High Rise building rather than suburban street. I note that you fly in and around your back garden :) Great to see you back Dylan!!

Totally agree with your view on Essential Dylan I am in the Fire & Rescue Service so like your wife we are essential the knobs below that say different should be quiet ( polite way of saying what I really think) .... big respect to your wife as she really is on the front line take care of her and yourself !

Not that I will do this but can see so many people flying during this time, from your garden say to a field close by going over a few houses in built up area. The police have a lot more important concerns to deal with complains about a drone from a someone.. Oh he's flying over my house, police don't bother with half the issues in the UK let alone now. Plus police and gov hav already said a lot of low level crime will be ignored if this crisis gets worse. I know this potentially would be unacceptable due to ruining for other, but as things stand I'd say your ok👍🏻

Looooong time no see! Great to see you back Dylan, just a little point, we (drone flyers) are probably facing the longest time available for us to go fly cos normally we're at work, so all I can say is bring on the rain! Mad to say that but during these 10, 12 or however long it takes weeks spare I'd rather see wetness falling and we have all had a lot of that recently. So my solution is I'm gonna sit down at my PC and do lots of photoshop and photography learning, and let's face it we all need a little bit of that, .......er well I need a lot, ! so no flying for me and my new mavic dual apart from using it to take my temperature to see if I have this lurgy. Dylan, if I charge my I1 batteries till the 3rd led lights and then take it off charge is that the same as fully charge then run down till the 4th light goes out? and should I leave the 10 day discharge setting as is ?

Sounds like you've been on the helium there at the end !! My DJI Spark batteries self discharge to approx 2/3 rd capacity after about a week from full charge, don't all Dji batteries do this ?

Yes flying is essential 😅😂 i can tell you how NOT to store batteries guys.. Fully charged 😂 i forgot my six inspire batteries were charged... Yeah, now they last eight minutes and heat up when charging 😑 its ok tho, my fpv drone lipos are safely at 15.3v 😃

Not sure where he got his info on battery storage but it’s completely wrong. For a LiPo battery you want to store them at 3.85v per cell (you can check the voltage of the individual cells in the DJI app) *NOT 3/4* capacity, this will hurt your batteries in the long run. With storing your batteries correctly you also shouldn’t need to put them on something like a baking tray, they are safe as long as the are not damaged.

Love your videos Dylan however I think we have to be very careful in terms of what precedent is being set here. The wider discussion regarding the imposition of this lockdown needs to be thoroughly analysed when this is over. I’m really struggling with the arguments regarding walking, driving etc when we know the facts are that the majority of accidents occur in the household ? Sounds counter intuitive. I’m by no means a civil liberties fanatic, that said are we going to have to accept that we will have further lockdowns this year, next year or the year after ? And if it’s this easy to introduce emergency legislation how easy would it be to ban things such as drones all together at the drop of a hat. This is the time for clear, objective thinking and definitely the time to be very careful in accepting and acquiescing to all Govt advice. It took an inquiry to unearth “sexed up dossiers” and the lies that cost this country thousands of lives. Anyway great channel and content and look forward to the new vids👍
