DARKSLIDE GLITCH. Do a double tap darkslide and it resets your balance meter.

To reset your grind balance, you just have to do a darkslide (Down/Right Diagonal, Grind, Grind). I don't think there's a way to reset manual balance unfortunately.

The wallplant off the bridge challenge in Tampa is probably one of the hardest challenges for me in THUG.

For anyone else attempting this challenge! You need to jump more while you're grinding the neighbourhood combo, if you jump a lot while grinding that's less time you technically spend in a grind, it makes you move faster and your grind meter won't start going crazy as fast. Also you don't need to combo from the very beginning of the challenge, you can start your combo on the first set of powerlines after the timer counts to zero, that will help postpone your grind meter as well

The wall plant combo and getting first in the Hawaii contest are the hardest things to do in this game on sick. Also grinding for 25 seconds to get full stats is near impossible but obviously you don't need to do that

appreciate the ingenuity a ton, perfect moment of bewilderment, and I think I ran into the same thing just playing normally on Sick, *with* stats, that I had to hit spine transfer at an unusually late time and then it was fine, I struggled about the same as you very valid about wanting to cruise to goal spots, it is an option given, after all, and valid as well about the hang-ups we have regarding the odd difficulty dips/filler of stuff that's easy for us a player by those later points in the game...maybe it makes sense as getting warmed up to a new area/level *if* it *is* your very first playthrough, even as an experienced or expert player, or you're a very skilled novice, but...ye...seems odd, indeed I do get what you mean about gaps, at least, for me my annoyance, however justified or not, at having to look up guides just to find/unlock/get all of them, the thing I save last in completing a Tony Hawk, there are ones *to this day* I still haven't been able to do or have done ever in the Disney reskinned Pro Skater 4, despite me looking up and getting all the gaps in the normal, original Pro Skater 4...

I always dreaded collecting the money as a kid. It took so long to make that run before time ran out

back in the day we found a glitch while playing loser/game of skate: when you end the combo, land and then immediately do a boneless and keep the combo going. you could start a new combo and the points would add up in the end. don't know if that only works in euro versions and in two player mode, but maybe you can try that in new yersey...

So with spine transfers, at that wall how it works is the game will try to do it if certain conditions are met, because that mini wall was in the way it gives your character enough height after executing it. That mini wall boosts your character height because of how it's met. If you did it in the notch holes there is no wall to boost your height and it won't let you. To make the difference you need that mini walls height. By performing exactly where you did it the game doesn't see the mini wall at first but then later it adds the wall height to the distance required to travel so it both pushes you above it, and travels the distance to the next vert flagged surface.if you did it too late it wouldn't work, and too early it wouldn't work. I am not sure this is intentional but it could be. Also as someone that knows most of the gaps in Moscow that parts painful to watch.

There Is a way to assign the triggers and sticks, they are axis, and you must select the axis you want to use on what you want to use it for. They should be in their own little corner section when mapping. For some reason, the triggers count as one axis, so keep that in mind.

Whaaaa? You never liked finding the gaps?! Finding the gaps was my favorite part of these games. Never really tried for high scores much. I’d just do special tricks over giant gaps for fun and try to hit as many in a row as I could.

I find it incredibly ironic that they decide to remove the cars so they don't get in the way on that Manual goal in Tampa, but they still decide to leave them in to get in the way on that incredibly hard combo line in New Jersey. Since the game had to be completed once to make the zero stat save your character will probably just punch Eric in the face, but you will go back and do it anyway, right?

As kid I used to play the early tony hawks games with zero stats as a way to obtain a more realistic experience. Needless to say it wasn't realistic in the slightest.
