The reason why so many League pros retire in their mid 20s is because they don't believe they can do well anymore. Also they have other things they want in their life. Like a relationship, a house, etc. They can easily play in their late 30s or 80s if they're like Dom, but a combination of those reasons are usually why they retire.

I currently work an indescribable schedule like I'll work 2 days straight without sleeping and then I'll sleep for 4 hours, then I'll work for 12hrs, then I'll sleep for 2 days. and then imagination. at this point time of day, day in the week, month in the year have no meaning. i like what i do a lot. i went to school for like 25 years to be doing this sort of thing. but after 2 years I can already tell that I wouldn't be able to do this forever and that I will start to hate it if I try to do it forever. this to say work-life balance matters and is something that people increasingly value as they get older, which is probably part of why you dont see a lot of 40 year olds attempting to enter the proscene of any esport, especially team games where you cant practice just in your schedule, its gotta be on the teams schedule

I think FPS's are a little more forgiving than moba's when it comes to older players ,they are way more predictable and even tho it requires insane reaction times ,that can be mitigated by prefire the same spot since you were 7 years old and a lot of experience ,plus usually metas dont change that fast in shooters so you are not required to adapt every 3-4 weeks .I am not saying its easy to be a pro player in cs ,but i think its easier to remain at the top there than it is in league ,since experience helps a lot more in those types of games .

fallen is essentially playing at the level of an lcs player if all pro players in the world played in the same league, that is top 150 to 200 player level.

Age doesnt have anythign to do with how good you are at video games. Its all about priorities in your life. I have a friend who is challenger at two roles in League.. and he is 41. Meanwhile I am D1 at 48, but I have a family I care more about so I dont play as much.
